Description of Work: My air conditioning wasn't keeping up, my husband was in the hospital, we just sold our house, we needed to start packing and I really did not want a family to move into the house in June without an air conditioner that could keep up.

 + -1 moreI called and asked when he could look at the unit. Chris came out early Sunday and identified problem and was able to start unit. He picked up the part that was needed early Monday and repaired the unit. He is very capable and did excellent service. He is very personable, honest and reasonable cost. We recommend that you give him the chance to service your unit.
Description of Work: Air conditioner quit working early Sunday morning. He was here within a short time of call.

 + -1 moreThey charged a service charge of $75. They also charged for Freon and other things. We have been using them for a long time. Sometimes, they come back and check on things and we do not get a charge. The owner is Chris Waddell. They have always been good. This time of year, they are working night and day, seven days a week so as far as response, I could not guarantee when they could get out to anybody or they could probably get there as quick as they could. There are a couple of them and they work hard, but as far as the work they do and units they provide, it has been excellent for several years now. I would say 15 years or more.
Description of Work: For heating and air, we have used Elite Heating & Cooling. They came and checked the air conditioning and we had some other things done.

 + -1 moreDaniel was here within an hour. Quickly determined low gas pressure was the problem and showed me how to identify the problem and how remedy it. NO CHARGE! Said he was on a call nearby so there wasn't travel time involved and he didn't have to fix anything. I called Daniel because I had used him once before on an AC problem and was very impressed with his knowledge and his honesty. He got into the electronics, told me what he was testing and what each result was. (I am an engineer who has worked in AC and control systems). Then he found a circuit board that might be a problem and said this doesn't look good, but let's keep looking. In the end he found and removed a small bird well hidden if the fan housing. He put the fan back together, plugged in the circuit board and everything worked. He said he would call me in a couple of days and if that had permanently cured the problem he would send me a bill. The bill was quite reasonable.
Description of Work: Fixed intermittent failure of furnace to ignite.

 + -1 moreI used this company based on a friend's referral and glad I did. In fact, have referred several other friends who have been very pleased as well. Prompt, professional, friendly... a company you can trust to stand behind it's work. Prices in line with others. I had an older hvac unit they kept it going until I finally made the decision to replace the unit (the tax credit was a big help too); there was no pressure to purchase, only recommendations. The job was completed promptly, and they always stayed in contact to give updates once the unit was ordered. I will definitely use this company again and continue to refer others.
Description of Work: Initial calls for repair/maintenance. Ultimately purchased a new hvac unit in time to receive federal energy tax credit. Elite performed all work and helped me make a good decision about brand/size/type.

Description of Work: Elite is one of those rare finds when one is "shooting" in the dark for help with a problem needing a specialist. 18 years ago, when Chris (President and lead HVAC technician) started the Elite Heating and Cooling, my wife, then single, was one of his first regular customers. Since that time, Elite has grown, but still has the same personal touch and qualified technicians who provide great service. We usually take advantage of their Spring and Fall sales on HVAC tune-ups; and have been doing so for these past 18 years. For these routine inspections, one has to wait a week or two, but they will be there at the appointed time and place. This last year our HVAC system stopped operating. It had come to the end of its operational life. The compressor was 90 days out of warranty and stopped operating. Time for a new machine. The temperature was in the 90's but Elite helped us out and got us a very efficient, Best-Buy rated, new machine at a wonderful price. Within 28 hours of my call for assistance, they had the new system installed, operating, paperwork done, and removed the old system. Elite also provided all the certificates and letters neede for us to file for the 2010 Federal Income Tax energy saving deduction. The Company and its personnel were professional, friendly, understanding and efficient. I will continue using Elite as long as they are in business.
