Eddie O'Shields Roofing

Eddie came highly recommended from my coworkers. They said he is very reasonably priced, does great work, and cleans up after himself. Unfortuntly, he was too backed up at the time to complete the work on my roofing project. He was very helpful and even tried to located us alternate roofers to complete our project. I would have certainly hired him should he have been available.

Our roof was damaged by hail during an April storm. After the insurance adjuster came, I called Eddie O'Shields for his estimate. He came to our home within two days of my call and gave me his estimate, which was slightly higher than what the insurance company would allow. He took it on himself to contact the insurance company, which told him they would cover the extra expense based on his recommendation. I know that all of the roofers in our area are extremely busy due to an unusually large number of people who have roof damage. Since we had no obvious leaking, I assured Eddie it would be fine if he first serviced those customers whose roofs were actually leaking. Eddie's crew came to our house on June 28. There were approximately six to eight men working on the roof for two and a half days. They removed all of the old shingles, and replaced any rotting wood underneath. They did an excellent job, and the roof looks wonderful. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves, as well. Eddie and his crew are a pleasure to deal with.

Eddie is a personal friend of my parents. He installed their roof, the roof on Dad's brother's house, the Church's roof, etc. He doesn't normally put up shutters but did that as a birthday present for my Dad. He charged nothing to inspect the roof to ensure the recent hail storm had did no damage. He is honest and trustworthy. We will use him again if the roof ever needs replacing or repair.

I found Mr O'Shields very professional. He was on the job site when the roof was installed. I had researched the type of materials I wanted to use. Before he did the job I asked him how he would do the job. He suggested I do it as I had planned with superior materials. I have recommended him to others.

Mr. O'Shields was recommended by a knowledgeable neighbor. Called him to look at my leaking chimney flashing. He found some hail damage on my old shngles and recommended I call my homeowners insurance. We did and they agreed to help replace the roof. (CHUBB Ins.) O'Shields presented a carefully written estimate and was very professional and courteous. No pressure to use his company if we did the work. Said,"If you choose us to do the roof, etc.......". Explained that his crew had been with him for 7 yrs. and were very hard-working. Helped us choose nice color for dimensional 30 yr. shingles. True to his word, he had the supplies delivered on a Tuesday, began the job on Wednesday a.m. and finished late Thursday afternoon. Put tarps out to catch the nails (and used a magnet to carefully try to locate nails that had flown off into grass). Had us move vehicles away from flying nails. The men were industrious and did a very nice job. Cleaned up beautifully. Took our old rusty antennae to the dump for us and all debris. Have found only one nail (in a flower pot!). Could not have asked for a more perfect job. Good boss and good crew. Not a sign of a leak around our old chimney during the recent heavy, blowing rains!
