The “crane crew” was fabulous very knowledgeable and respectful on what they were doing did not waste any time got right to work had the job done in no time. The only difference on my property from when they got here and when they left was the tree was gone couldn’t tell they were even here, Great job! Removed a 50’ oak and trimmed 4 additional trees!

Dishonest job scope based on lies from onsite sales estimator. Attempted to take advantage of a housebound disabled client to almost double the price after the contract was signed. Damaged property and did not finish the job, leaving large pieces of debris, of 1-200lbs in size, that was contracted to have been hauled away. Denied responsibility for damage, but photographic proof showed otherwise. They agreed to repair damage but offered no timetable. Over three months later, they showed up with no prior contact and effected repairs while I was not home and then demanded immediate payment via telephone. Since it took them over three months to actually finish the job and I had assumed it had been abandoned months prior, I asked for an extended period of time to pay and was threatened with legal action. Dishonest, abusive, and unreliable: avoid.

I was initially impressed with the company and how they appeared to have it all together. However, this opinion quickly changed. I believe it all stems from the fact that they are in the business of underbidding the job and bullying their customers. I am still not sure if this is intentional or not. Nonetheless, they missed the mark as to how long it would take to complete the job even though we discussed the job at length and questioned the fact more than once that the job could be COMPLETED in the TIME and for the MONEY they were including in the estimate. They were very sure of themselves and assured us it could be, so we agreed to proceed with the job. Unfortunately, they were wrong. Throughout our experience we were faced with problems, empty promises, unprofessionalism, and at times outright abusive behavior by both the Salesperson (Jimmy) and the Owner (Chad). The company made it very clear throughout our experience that they were not in business to honor their commitment to their customers or honor their word. Ultimately, we made the decision to pay them for the work that had been completed and for them not to complete any additional work just so we could be done with them. Happy to say within no time, we entered into an agreement with another company to have the remainder of the work completed and like it should have gone from the beginning – we had the job done by a professional company who brought a happy ending to a terrible beginning.

They gave me a date and provided the service as promised. Was very impressive to watch. I couldn't be more pleased. The cleanup was great, couldn't tell they had been there. I have already recommended them to several people.

We received estimates from 3 different tree service companies. East TN Tree Service gave us the best price and we felt very comfortable with how they explained their process of taking down trees. We had a small issue with scheduling - they got behind when some storms came through our area - but worked with us to our satisfaction. They did a great job. I would hire again and recommend East TN Tree Service.
