It went very well , started almost to the day on contract, not there fault spent extra time prepping the marble to polish out many nicks that the marble received at another site. My master bath was finished after 7 months of hard work from many diff. companies. Then in cones the shower glass, 3 pieces, measurements working, in about 3 hours or less, i'll finally be in my new bath, then the 1st, piece of glass falls into my shower floor, piercing a hole into the marble shower floor.... smashing the threshold , glass making white holes all over the marble slabs on the walls, and the floors...this occured 11/23/2010, been searching for marble close to what i had picked out months, really hard to find. the glass company owner, came down and looked at the disaster, the very afternoon, reassured us that his ins. adjuster would be down in 2 days, he came they both stated that they would make it just a beautiful as before, it didn't matter what they had to do...sounds good ...well,I found marble, now the ins. adjuster has an attitude. got loud with me on the phone. I now have a terrible feeling this is not going to be good for us. we have sat here for 3 1/2 months, not being able to use the bath at all.Now what do we do??My marble man is great, he is going to come back tear out the damaged and replace it all with new, He is the only truly gifted one i will let touch it...

We visited the marbleworks in Vestal, and were given several pieces of scrap granite to keep so we could decide on a color for our vanity top in our guest bath. We returned and informed Bruce of our choice, and make plans to have someone come take the final measurements of the vanity area. The workman came to measure right on time and was pleasant and professional. It sometimes takes some time to get exactly what you want with this company because they generally use salvage granite, marble and other stone for countertops and get new inventory in sporadically. If you like a stone they already have on hand in the size you need, it can be faster. The price makes it worth the wait! When our granite was ready they brought it and installed it in the very tight space without gouging up the walls (which seemed impossible.) They drilled the hole for the sink exactly to the size our plumber needed, and they neatly caulked the edges of the granite with a color of caulk that blended nicely with the stone. We have a fantastic looking vanity top for less than a quarter of the cost we were quoted by other companies in town, and we're so pleased with it that we are having them find us a countertop for our master bath this year. We will probably have them do our kitchen countertops, too.
Description of Work: We paid $300 for measuring and installation of a 22-inch x 36-inch, 1.25-inch thick granite vanity countertop in "tropic brown" in our bathroom, including drilling the correct size hole in the center of it for a vessel sink.
