The work was done as promptly as the weather and the line locators for 811 would allow. The owner kept in constant communication with me and promptly answered by phone or text when I had a question. The workmen were experienced and professional. My drainage problem is solved, the yard is cleared and ready for me to landscape. I am very pleased with the result. VERY responsive. He came out the same day I called. They ran into rock and other problems but he kept us aware of the problems and associated costs. He also took out a few trees. Did great work in a timely fashion. He was very conscious of our time constraints.

This is the third time we have used Joshua (Country Boy) and each time he has been excellent well above what we expected. We had a lake lot that was very thick with underbrush. He cleared it with his bobcat and mulching machine. This is the second time he has used the machine on two different lots we have. Both times the end product was well above our expectations at a reasonable price.

The best concrete and excavating work we have ever had done. I was very pleased with the perfection and care of their work. I absolutely will call on them again. He actually worked us into his schedule two weeks earlier than planned.

We live in a very rural location which did pose a few logistical problems, he and his crew were able to pull it off a few weeks ahead of schedule and came in under budget, which always makes us happy. When we bought our house less than two years ago, the backyard sloped towards the house and made for an even more wet basement. So by putting in the patio that spanned the entire length of the back of the house and Josh excavating the backyard to the proper grade we are looking forward to a drier basement. His cement crew did an excellent job in making sure that the cement trucks came up with light loads so as not to break our asphalt driveway. Even though we are planning to cap the cement patio with pavers, we must say how beautiful it looks in the meanwhile until we get that part of the project done. While up at our farm, he hauled the fill dirt to other locations on our property to level out some areas that was not part of the original scope of work, but was very nice of him to do such a great job of it. We are looking forward to having Josh and his crew back for other projects here at our farm. We would gladly recommend him to any of our friends or others that are looking to have some excavation work done.

Josh has now completed a four job for us to our complete satisfaction. We no longer have any drainage problems. We continue to be impressed by Josh's work ethic, his flexibility, his professionalism and his honesty. This could not have been an easy project to deal with considering the rain and the surprise when we decided to interrupt mid way to put a pool in ground! Without missing a beat Josh stopped and then came and cleaned up after the pool company, regraded some areas etc. I always told Josh I knew the additional items and changes would cost more and he was always fair in his pricing. I feel like we got a good job and a good deal!

We called him to pave the section that was troublesome, expecting to spend a lot more than we would up spending. He asked some good questions about why and how we wanted the job done and he suggested a fix that was just as good and probably 1/3 the cost. He came on time and was very professional. He was accurate on his estimate and gave me a choice as to how much work he did balanced against our budget. The neighbor and I have asked him to prepare an estimate for a much larger job, hopefully to be done in the near future. He is very innovative and knows how to solve the problems that haunt a homeowner.

Joshua came out and reviewed the site and had recommendations for placement of the pad and explained how he would approach the project to deal with the slope. He gave an estimate which was very reasonable (actually a little lower than I had expected).Given the consistently positive reviews on Angie's list, we decided to hire him without requesting estimates from anyone else. The guys showed up when scheduled and were very courteous and professional. The leveling process resulted in a nice tiered look to the yard which will lend itself well to future landscaping. The concrete pad was completed to the specifications I needed and the backfill work did a good job of merging the concrete edge with the surrounding yard. It was very clear throughout the whole process that Joshua takes pride in his work and he wanted to make sure we were happy with the work performed. I would recommend his services to anyone.

The project went very well! Mr. Sneed came out and gave us a reasonable estimate for our driveway extension, which included digging out the area, pouring gravel, framing it, and pouring the concrete. We agreed on the dates and times he would be available to perform the work, subject to good weather. They were slightly delayed on the digging day, but it had no impact on our schedule. They came out and did what they said they would do. We had our driveway extension on the second day as promised. It looks great! We're happy with their work.

We found Josh to be skilled, dependable and very agreeable. When we first met to discuss the project, he listened to our concerns and suggested various options for resolving them. Once we decided to hire him, he returned to go over the details before scheduling and returned again the day before work began. He called to confirm dates and times or if he would be late or needed to change plans. He consulted us as questions came up during the work, which was done carefully and to our specifications, and included some added touches. They spent a good amount of time putting the yard back in order. Recent heavy rains confirmed that the drainage system he returned to install is working well. We would definitely work with Josh again and have already recommended him to others. Our new driveway and sidewalk look great and will add to the value of the house.

Josh gave us a reasonable estimate for excavating the driveway. He did an excellent job and moved the dirt to the lower part of the yard, as agreed upon. However, he went above and beyond the contracted work scope, which was greatly appreciated. The work was completed very quickly. I would highly recommend him.

This is the first time I've used Angie's List. I looked for someone who would put in a new concrete driveway. Mr. Sneed had all "A's" and I liked what everyone had to say about their experience with him. I called and left a message and he called me right back. He came out to my house and was able to give me an estimate at that time. My husband and I decided after we met with him that we didn't need to talk to anyone else or get any other estimates. We felt comfortable with the price. Mr. Sneed did what he said he would do and when he said he would do it. He called and kept me imformed and up to date on the progress. My husband and I are very please with the driveway, and we are very happy with the service. I would recommend Mr. Sneed to anyone.

The job took about a week. It progressed as he detailed it and I was pleased with the results.

Country Boy Excavating aka Josh Sneed has proven to be a excellent choice for some extensive work at our home. We scheduled him for a much larger job than has been completed at this time. In the midst of the work we decided to add a swimming pool. Josh has been infinitely patient while we wavered as to what we should do. He had given invaluable advise when asked and made suggestions to help us decide what to do. Country Boy came to work when he said he would and did what he said he would do. So far he has removed the stumps, regraded the front yard and side yard. He was half done in the back yard when we stopped to wait for the pool company. He has brought in his concrete man for estimates and measurements. Josh will return to finish our work when the pool is in. Country Boy Josh Sneed has been so helpful. He has been very patient as we changed our mind more than once. Nothing has been too much trouble. Going the extra mile is just part of his character. He is a real professional toward his customer. He is doing an excellent job and I would recommend him to anyone.

Joshua came out the week before in the rain and walked the property to give us an estimate. He showed up with the right equipment to get the job done in a short amount of time. He charged us what he said he would and we paid him after the work was complete.

great experience. The owner came to us and had cost cutting ideas to help us out. The gentleman that did the work was very thorough. He worked until the was no more light then returned the next day early to finish up. Didn/t have to clean up after him.

The representative was very quick to come out and give an estimate. I was able to have to work scheduled shortly after I decided to have the work done. They came out and performed the work.

It went extremely well and Joshua texted me pictures along the way as proof that the work was being performed per specifications in the contract.

The work took two days, as predicted in their estimate. I was impressed with the deliberate, careful way in which the work was performed; this was not a job in which speed was required and working too fast could have resulted in sloppy work or errors. Instead, they discussed the project with me until they understood it thoroughly, took their time to think things through, and worked at a steady pace. Leon, who was in charge, installed the pipe with the printed labelling facing toward the wall rather than outward, because it looks better; I took that as a mark of how conscientious he is in his work. The work was done on schedule and for the estimated cost-no shedule or cost overruns. The new plumbing has been in place for over two weeks with no leaks or problems. It should be noted that I volunteered to do some hand digging outside, in order to expose the buried pipe and connection to the septic tank. I then reburied the pipe when the work was completed (and after I'd had a chance to make sure the connection was not leaking). Had they done this work it would have added to the cost and time. But it was part of the agreement we had and I did not mind doing that part in order to save myself some expense.

We used country boy excavators to level a place for our playset in the backyard. They came when they said they would (well, the first time it stopped raining after they said they would come). They worked with us to "do the right thing", which we all agreed was different from what we first asked them to do. The area they carved out was indeed very level (I later put in boards that I had to put a level on) and turned out to be just the right thing.
