Complete Appliance Repair

The temperature in the refrigerator was 62 degrees, way above the safe range, although the top freezer was working fine. The appliance is over 15 years old, perhaps pushing 20 years. I feared it would have to be replaced. I found Complete Appliance Service in Angie's List, and called the day after the problem appeared. Barry showed up just a few hours after the call. He quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the defrost thermostat. The cost was $173 and I was thrilled to pay it, rather than having to replace my aging refrigerator! Barry was very professional and knowledgeable. He was in and out in just 1 hour. I would definitely call on him again for any future appliance repairs.

He looked at my washer and pulled out the motor. He told me to fix my 5 yr old washer would be $350. He was honest with me and we decided it was time to just buy a new one. Very much appreciate him.

Barry called to let me know exactly what time he would be here, he was on time and he fixed the problem within 15 minutes. Would definitely use him again and recommend him to friends.

First time I've had a repairman give me an exact time and was actually there! I had a noise in my washer and my dryer was smelling hot. He took them both apart and found no problem, except age, on my washer and explained that the smell was probably just a piece of lint going through the element. He checked the dryer several times for problems and everything was fine. Most places would charge for looking at both but he only charged one service call! Very honest and did a great job!

We had a leak in our ice maker. He repaired it and did a great job.

We called him late on Thursday afternoon and he came the next morning. He quickly diagnosed the problem (bad compressor) and advised that we would be better off to get a new one than have him repair it.

I didn't go. I called for help and he didn't really seem interested. Said he would be available next week. Not helpful when it's Wednesday and your washer isn't working. Glad he's doing well enough to be uninterested in new business.

The service is good. Barry is honest and we have never had any issues on his recommendations. I would say that Barry is very knowledgable on various appliances and his repairs have never failed.

Our washer was not spinning so he came and found a broken part, and replaced it. A few days later it quit spinning again. He came out, re-assessed it, and determined we had several parts that were failing or near failing (including leaking oil). So, he concluded repairs would be very costly and recommended we simply get a new washer, as ours was pretty old . He refunded the cost of the initial service and therefore got nothing for his time, which I believe is unfortunate but we were strapped for cash at the time and his help was very useful. We would use him again as we appreciated his honesty and his assistance.

. First, the repair person showed up on time. He was courteous, confident and was eager to begin. I showed him the problem with the refrigerator. He examined the gasket, the door alignment and said that the door showed signs of damage. We bought the refrigerator new and did not know of any damage to the refrigerator. He adjusted the door which stopped the sweating. Next we examined the washing machine. He knew exactly what to do. He removed the front door waterproof gasket, then the door latch. He then called the appliance repair parts store and said that he would be back with the parts. In less than an hour he was back with the right parts; installed them and then tested the machine. 'With all work done, he handed me a bill which showed the parts cost and his labor. The bill was $275 which was very reasonable considering the parts were $140+ so the bill was very reasonable. Barry has repaired our aging refrigerator twice in the past few months (two different problems). He was punctual, courteous, and efficient. Reasonably priced as well.

He has been very honest and gave me some good advice. Scheduling an appointment is very easy since he makes his own schedule.

They did excellent service for me, they did a very good service, he was very helpful in identifying difficulties in appliance. He's not interested in selling of your appliances, his business is fixing your appliances. I believe he is reasonably priced, he only charged me for the parts and labor for repair. He's very meticulous, he's a competent service man, immediately responded the next day.

Over the next couple hours my fridge FINALLY starting cooling, so I texted Barry and asked him to call me before he set out for my house. Again, he responded immediately, gave me some valuable advice about monitoring my refrigerator and let me know about his availability the next day in case I ended up needing him to come out. The situation with my fridge has righted itself for the time being, but based on my positive experience in communicating with Barry yesterday, I will definitely call him back the next time I need work on any of my appliances.

Barry diagnosed the problem with my broken dryer over the phone and told me exactly how much it would be - it was the best price I found. He fit me into his schedule the next day, even though I called late. He called me when he was on his way, was in and out in less than 30 minutes, and did a terrific job replacing the belt in my dryer. Barry was professional, courteous, and affordable. I will be using him again.
