We have had Comfort Tech to replace both of our AC units three years apart. We were considering some upgrades and David was very helpful in discussing options and answering questions. We were well pleased with the work he did in our home and called him back to replace the second one three years later.

Our >15 y.o. HVAC had finally kicked the bucket. Comfort Tech is the company that our home warranty company recommended. David got in touch with us immediately, and was at our house for an assessment the next day. Our unit was so old that he couldn't read the model number for parts etc.. He took care of calling the warranty company and figuring out what we needed. It only took a week for everything to come in and for David to have it installed. We were very impressed with his work ethic and his efficiency, especially considering it was the beginning of summer and he was overloaded with other calls. My only complaint would be that David often seemed harried and maybe a little unprofessional ( the first time we met him he was on the phone with another client while in my home), but overall I would definitely use Comfort Tech again.

My 12-year-old HVAC unit died last May so I contacted several HVAC companies to bid on a new unit. Out of four companies contacted, one never showed (the technician said he could not find my house …. strange in this day and age with cell phones and Google maps. One did not meet me at the scheduled time but did come after I had left for the day … then he spent 4 days playing phone tag and begrudgingly gave me a bid over the phone . Two companies actually showed up when they promised and provided written bids.
Comfort Tech was one of the two who did show up when promised. At the time, I researched them there were no bad write-ups in the Knoxville BBB but there was no reference for Comfort Tech on Angie’s List. Comfort Tech was on a list of certified energy specialists provided by LCUB, which they say is not an endorsement of any of their listed companies. I chose Comfort Tech for two reasons: they were good for their word about meeting my schedule and they beat the other company in price.
My old unit died within a few days after the devastating hailstorms and tornadoes that swept through east Tennessee and it was hard to locate anybody in the construction trade on short notice due to all the emergency work I was renovating the house at the time and not living in it. Comfort Tech is a small family owned business (the McCurry family) and I knew they were scrambling to try meet new contracts and help those who were adversely affected by storm damage. We worked out an arrangement that they would do the job as they could squeeze time in and in all it was 4 weeks to final inspection …. so I cannot really say if they would work in a timely fashion under normal circumstances.
The Comfort Tech crew was skillful, cleaned up after their job, did not do any damage to my house or yard, and delivered what they promised at a reasonable price. I would recommend them to anyone. I especially liked that when I called them, I could either leave a voice mail on the boss’s phone or would get the boss. With the other companies, they used a call center to relay messages (I never got the reps on the phone) and it was very irritating to play phone tag. With Comfort Tech you do not have to work through reps and middle men. They do what they say they will do when they say they will do it… something very rare today.
