I know this review is a long time away from the work , but I can not stress the importance to you of staying far, far away from these people. He turns his teen age kids loose to do the job - and then thinks of THOUSANDS of dollars in upcharges. BTW - the deck he built for us is FALLING DOWN -not even safe for our dog!!! stay away from this crook -

This provider all but ruined my home. Had I not had everything he did redone, it would have ruined my home. I had to hire a lawyer to get my money back and get everything that he did, redone. To see this company with a B rating and nominated for a POH award also makes me wary of Angie's list. I put Jack and his whole family up at my cabin and fed them three meals a day for a week, only to have them put on a roof that leaked, and ruin my house and deck with pressure washing. If anyone has had a good experience with him, they probably just haven't figured out what he did to them yet. This was not just bad workmanship...this was a con job. I proved this by tracing back where he bought his materials and also by sending a sample of the metal he bought to the company from where the metal was supposed to be ordered. He did not purchase the materials that I had selected. Instead he went to a cheap metal place on Rutledge Pike and purchased the cheapest sheets of metal possible. I was able to prove this by going to the place that he bought the metal and asking for records from Jack Clark that showed he purchased the metal there. The metal he bought was less than 1/3 of the cost of the metal I ordered. It was then thrown on my roof in a haphazard way that had one end of the house with a huge overhang and the other end with nothing and it was crooked to boot. He only put a few screws in the metal, it was not the grade of metal that I had chosen to order, nothing was what it was suppose to be. I have video and testimony from 3 other roofing experts in preparation of a legal battle that could basically not find one thing done correctly. His son pressure washed my house and deck to splinters in places. I had to put a solid stain on the cabin just for it to be presentable again, due to the uneven mess from the pressure washing. The concrete poured for the well house was so uneven that it had to be completely redone by the next contractor. I had hired Jack to roof another house. Even though it had not leaked, after seeing the mess he made of my cabin and after recuperating the majority of the money that I paid Jack, I had that roof redone as well. I would like to think that Jack has mended his ways and become a respectable business man, and if he has that is great, but it is hard to believe after the horror that he and Sheila put me through that anything has changed. Buyer be warned and beware.
Description of Work: What the provider attempted to do was replace my roof, pressure wash and seal my decks, pressure wash my house and build a well house.

Went very well. His crew were prompt and worked quickly. They cleaned up all of their materials and were very professional. PLEASE see above for update to this review!!
Description of Work: Mr. Clark did an extensive repair job on my deck, removing rotted boards and replacing those, adding additional railing spacers to keep my cat in, and reinforcing the structure of the deck. Earlier his crew replaced my gutter screens which were installed improperly by a previous contractor. Mr. Clark is busy but i hope to schedule him again for closet installation and to get a bid on a bathroom and kitchen remodel. Would highly recommend him. UPDATE to this review: I am revising my rating and updating this review as I have new information on the work that was performed in May of 2013. The deck looked good when finished but within a very short time, the boards began to split and warp, much sooner than I expected. I was having someone pressure wash and seal the deck and they brought me a sticker from the underside of the deck wood which clearly indicated that INTERIOR grade wood was used. My expectation and verbal agreement was for pressure treated exterior grade wood to be used. I am now facing having to completely redo the deck after only one year which is unacceptable. I am considering legal action.

I don't have time for great detail - but the finished price was $10,000 more than the estimate - AND the deck they built (part of the job) is literally falling off my house - DO NOT use them -

They are very trustworthy. I don’t hesitate to leave them in my house working. I never give that a second thought. They are very reliable and they do very good work. Their friendly and very honest with what they do. If they can’t do it they will tell you. They will give you an estimate of days to complete projects and their projects don’t drag on.
Description of Work: They put in our wood floors. They have also put in cabinets, replaced baseboards, and a lot of remodeling type work. They even repaired a wood ceiling in our living room.

Jack, Sheila, and their crew showed up when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves, and let us know how things were going as the project went along. On the first day, they called us down to the basement to show us the live 220v lines which a previous owner had simply shoved back into the junction box without capping off. Glad we didn't discover that when there were 2" of water in the basement. Then corrected things that had been done subpar previously, and did so without increasing the price significantly.
Description of Work: After our basement flooded and we had to pull out the carpet, paneling, etc, we needed someone to put the basement back together. Clark's did that for us and made the space more functional and usable than it was prior. They removed the remaining paneling and drop ceiliing, and dry-walled both. They built in a closet for more storage and added lighting.
