They did a good job, scheduling to come out a few days after I called. They gave us two options for the chase, stainless or galvanized steel. After measuring the chimney top they had the cover made and installed it the following week. I would definitely hire them again.

The chimney chase fits well now, but my roofer, who examined and photographed the area and then mentioned Chimney Sweep West, found considerable shingle damage later, confirmed it for me with addition photos , then had to reroof about half of me roof.

Following the work, there was still some ongoing issues, It took several times to repair the work, and they continued to send the same man. However, they finally sent a new fellow and the work is just fine now.

They had to fill in a gap between the firebox and the bricks in the front, and about a month or so later it fell out. He charged me $650, and after a short time it started falling apart, so I took a picture and sent it to them and a few days later there was a check in the mail for $250 with no explanation. The work turned out very badly.

The services provided were top notch. Craftsmanship on the Tuck Pointing was perfect, clean and professional. Jordan's work was outstanding and I will definitely call this company again for any and all chimney needs in the future, including the installation of a new wood burning stove.

It went well. We had received an estimate to repair the fireplace from another company that was about 3 times this amount. Their approach was different and worked well. We had a couple of fires this year and it works great.

Excellent. Had a cancellation so they moved me up 3 days. Arrived on time. Took extra care not to dent gutters by placing ladder against them. analyzed problem, applied 1 1/2 tubes of caulk all around boards which jacket the chimney (cedar house) many of which have shrunk over 30 years. Even offered to blow leaves off the roof. I was surprised to be charged only the minimum service call fee $88. I anticipated paying more. The job took almost two hours. Two guys, both very professional.

The water leak was from a poor job in the installation of the chimney cap and they added new screws and caulking at no extra charge. Very professional, punctual and answered all my questions. I'd use them again.

I have used this company for sweeping my chimney twice before, most recently in 2009, and they did a great job. Cost was $150 then and they quoted me the same price for last Saturday. This time the technicians decided my roof was too steep and they refused. I can appreciate this however the office staff was not all interested in discussing a solution.

Against my better instincts I called them after the purchase to perform the above repairs. Three techs showed up on time and were very courteous (including the one mentioned above). Excluding the new Stainless Steel cap and its installation (its cost and installation were a reasonable value); the rest of the work and materials used were not a good value. The flashing was painted over with "FlashSeal", but without the use of the FlashSeal fabric; this is an elastomeric coating similar to RV camper roof repair sealer; however its 7 year warranty is no good without the use of its fabric (didn't know this till I Googled it on line). Its about $80.00 a gallon on line and they used about a quart and a half and charged well over $200 for this for this 45 minute service; leaving low spots that still trap water which will lead to more leaks in way less than 7 years. Re-cementing / repair of the fireplace firebox was no better; they didn't have enough refractory cement / mortar / crack-filler (a one pint container 1/2 full); they used all that, and left some cracks and a bunch of very loose original cement that I pulled loose with my fingers before they left. I pointed this out to the and they filled the cracks with fireproof ceramic based insulation; said that would be fine; although its my understanding that the refractory cement is supposed to go over the insulation. Forget about using them; hire someone else; for me I'll fix / re-fix everything myself, as all the materials they used are available on line to any purchaser, so that's the route I'll take.

I had to reschedule a couple times and then they came out when I was not home. The quotes seemed way expensive, but I was not sure how much something likes this costs, since I am a relatively new homeowner. I called another local company and they quoted me $700. I had them come out and do the job. So, it seems like CSW is really, really pricey. Get a second quote!

Two men showed up on time and got right to work. They were very friendly and nice. They were finished in about 20 minutes, so I wondered if they did a good thorough job. We've never had gutters cleaned before, so I don't know how long it should take. It just seemed too quick. However, I don't see anything left in the gutters and there haven't been any problems.

We hired them to put a cap on the chimney and clean it. It turned out the chimney was pretty clean and did not require sweeping. The service techs were very nice and seemed embarrassed to charge me a $120 "service fee". Now if this was the only service we had hired them for, I could understand a little better paying a nuisance fee like that, but this was the 2nd service we requested since we paid almost $200 for a stainless flue cap. I called the office to inquire if this were correct & they told me it was an "inspection charge". When I asked why it was an additional fee since they had to do this for the cap, it changed into a "mileage charge" since I live in Oak Ridge.

Scheduling was easy. It took two tries to get them out because of the weather on the day of the first appointment. When they came out, they checked the chimney and said it was fine and didn't need cleaning. They did make some recommendations about the capped gas line in the fireplace that I don't agree with, but I don't think they knew that the line was also shut off quite a ways from the fireplace. For the gutters, they are now clean and work like they are supposed to. There were a few handfuls of leaves on our deck, but otherwise I found no mess.

Company was scheduled for an after 5 appointment on a Friday then called right at 5 and canceled after we had arranged to leave work early to be at home for appointment. Rep said we could reschedule for following Monday but business office was already closed. By the time we got in touch with them on Monday, we had to reschedule for 2 weeks later. I was a bit leery by this time, but 2 weeks later, they showed up promptly, were very polite and clean, and were done in about 20 minutes. Also the quote that they had given us to do the work was spot-on, and they didn't try to push any services on us. They gave us a few tips and recommended replacing a part of the fireplace in the next few years.

They did a great job and while they were out they gave a free estimate on some chimney work we needed done as well.

Two young men came to the house and looked around to get an estimate for the cost of the work. They estimated $200 and said it would take them about an hour and a half. They used ladders to climb up on the roof and used an electric blower to blow out the leaves in the gutter. After they were finished, they then blew the debris off of my driveway and patio. They did forget to clean one section of my deck. Overall, it went very well. They stuck to the price and it took exactly the amount of time they said it was going to take.

Two very pleasant and personable young men showed up to do the job and they did wonderful, through work. They went around after they were finished to make sure no debris was left behind and cleaned up beautifully. I would recommend them.

We recently purchased a home with a wood burning fireplace and wanted it inspected to be sure it was safe before attempting a fire. Two guys came promptly at the appointment time and were very professional. They recommended a couple of things, giving me a brochure, and quotes for prices. They brought in their enormous vacuum and cleaned the chimney, leaving absolutely NO mess.
