Champion Windows and Home Exteriors of Knoxville

Like I said, they did not make their appointment and did not call. I sat at home waiting for them. No Show, No Call. They sent me a form letter stating that they are the only ones that fix their product, so I needed to call and make an appointment so that they could check my roof damage. I called again and left a message. No one called me back. I called again and left a message and no one called me back. I have called a roofing company to take a look at it now, because Champion does not care enough to keep appointments or return phone calls. I can also say that in the past I have asked them for siding and window estimates and they are very, very pushy and very, very high in their prices. I do not think that their materials are worth the price that they quote.

They are excellent. They are a little more expensive than others, but their quality is great because they custom-make the windows to fit the openings. Their service people put on booties when they are inside. They get in and out very quickly. Their work is guaranteed, and I am very pleased with them. I have signed contracts with them to replace all of the siding, front door and fascia. I am having them do stone work in the front of the house; basically, I am redoing everything that the storm damaged. In about seven to nine weeks, they will have the entire outside of the house done. They are a quality company. I know in advance that I am going to pay a little more for their quality products. I pay more to get more. For example, their siding is insulated; normal siding that I can get from many companies is not insulated. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

The windows came in earlier than we expected so we had them installed early. Even though we had to wait for the door because of the pet door, they did not charge us until everything was installed. The work was quickly and professionally done. The pet door has two flaps since the door glass has two panes. We had used Champion 14 years ago for the front windows and those windows are still in great shape. We could have done this cheaper but we believe in the company and their products. Plus they are part of the TVA Energy Right program so we will be getting $650 back.

They are excellent. In 2005, they added a sunroom onto the house I was living in, and in 2008, they put in new windows in the house that I am currently residing in. I have used them a lot and have had no problems with them at all. I would recommend them to others. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Very smoothly. They were very neat. They were prompt and worked quickly but not sloppily. They had us check and approve periodically through the projects. They cleaned up after themselves.

the sales agent was Prompt and very courteous..did all the measurements and presented the estimate witch we thought was very high compared to other estimates we got for the same size room addition. we thanked him for his time and we decided to look elsewhere for our sunroom add on.

I have used Champion Windows Siding & Patio Room to installs windows in every house that I have been in. They were expensive but, I have had the guarantee of dealing with the same sales person for many years now. The quality was good. They gave warranty for their work. I never had any problems and I did not have to call them back. The products were great.

I obtained quotes from multiple window firms. Champion was the most high pressure and pricing was significantly higher for similar quality. My conclusion was that they rely on their high marketing costs and somewhat pushy sales tactics to run their business. Quality seemed fine, but without actually having them install, hard to tell. I doubt I will ever go to them again for a quote. Just did not feel comfortable with their approach.

There was an independent contractor who installed the windows. The salesman part was good and professional, but the other part was not. They were not neat, clean and professional. They had to come back and do repairs because they killed my bushes and broke a couple of window sills. They didn?t tell me and I had to handle it on my own. I would tell others not to use them. The installation what they were supposed to do was not what I was told and they have never been back to fix it. So the windows seemed fine, but the workmanship of the installation was very poor. I am not very satisfied and would not recommend them. I wouldn?t use them again.

The product seemed to be very good and I was very pleased with it, but they used independent contractors which we didn?t count on. We were told that it would take about a week and it took over a month for them to do it because the contractors used to come for few hours and leave each day. Once I complained, they used to show the next day for a couple of hours and they used to disappear again. So I wrote and asked them to give my money back. They then sent another crew out here and finished the job. I would tell others not to use them.

We spent about $15,000. The windows are very, very nice; outstanding. However, we have had to replace the siding because they did such a poor job on it. They used a sub contractor to put in the siding and they were terrible. Their responsiveness to the siding issue was poor. I will use this company in the future for windows but not for siding.

We loved the siding and the way the installation of the siding was handled. We also loved the windows. The salesman sold us a door when we first signed the agreement that did not exist. We had a real, real, real difficult time to get them to bring us out the right door. We wound up with a better and more expensive door and they ate it so to speak because we had it on paper in black and white. Everything else other than that was fine and it looks good. The door was the last thing and we had a real hard time with that. It probably took 8 weeks to get it. The door they originally sent could be unlocked from the outside and the installer and my wife noticed it when it was put in. You could lock yourself in but you couldn?t lock anybody out. The installer told us to hold on to our paperwork and finally the general manager came out and said he would take care of it. It was lack of coordination about the door. They did a good job on everything and we like it but the last part was a real hassle. Their price was not the most expensive or the cheapest but we felt that we were going to get good quality for the money. The door we ended up with was probably twice as expensive as the door we had initially ordered.

It was a while ago so i don't have or recall all the details. I did not select this company because they were very expensive compared to the provider I did use (Window World) and I couldn't see the difference in quality to justify the additional cost.

I provided the company with exact measurements, mainly for estimate only. I did expect that they would send out a person to measure the windows. They guy quickly measured the window openings. when they took out the first window, it did not fit properly. My windows closed deeper into the opening because it is a brick home and they didn't measure the openings properly. Instead of leaving me for 3 more weeks for the right sized windows to arrive, I was assured that they could make them fit and they did and they look good. I was given a $1000.00 off the cost from the price of $8400.00

I went into the showroom, spoke with Tom Farmer who is the head of the office. He was very informative and no high pressure sales. Cost was a little on the high side but the windows have been great and overall a good experience

Everything has turned out well. They are courteous, do a good job, and clean up well. I do not have any complaints.

They talked really fast. The windows were installed, the two guys didn't even say goodbye. The third gentleman came back to collect the balance of $4,000, and I gave him a certified check. I realized I gave him the wrong copy of the certified check, thank god. They left caulk guns, tarps around, pieces of wood, metal, mortar, busted stone where they busted a basement window, etc. They didn't use the tarp up front to collect debris. I found many nails and screws by 2 windows, one upstairs, one downstairs. We looked at the kitchen window, it was uneven. We went to the dining room, he showed me how to open it. We looked in the living room and I pointed out a window that was pointing upward. I stepped outside to look at the trim, and it was wood/metal, not as I was supposed to have. They didn't clean up their mess. I had big chunks of sheet rock laying around. I called and complained, a gentleman came out to fill in some holes. Upstairs my wood trim is and damaged. Now, the window seals are scratched and leak. The windows are popping, cracking, warped, and seals are loosening. They stated a lifetime warranty, and that they would not warp, crack, and seals wouldn't loosen. Some windows can barely be opened or closed now. Even on the back of the house I didn't have trim, didn't expect it, but they put the wrong trim up there too. The windows were supposed to be lowE argon, and I don't believe they are. I came in one day with flys and spiders that had come through the windows. I never had this problem with my windows in the past. I want my money back to have proper windows installed and get everything back in order that they tore up.

We are very pleased with our windows. The men who came out were great, however I wish they had put my blinds back up for me, they didn't. We had a few problems but so far each have been resolved nicely. We got four bids before choosing Champion. They were the most reasonable, and gave us more options than any other company we interviewed with.

Impressive showroom. Salesman seemed to know his stuff, but was somewhat off putting. Found company with better price and warranty for similar quality windows.

They have been very nice to me. They also supply me with a window cleaner free of charge every month.

The problems did not begin, until after the person made their measurements, and gave us the price for the job. The company advertises "No payments, no interest for 12 months". There are no stipulations on this offer, except a good credit rating. The salesperson then told us that we could not take advantage of this offer, because he had given us such a good price, that we would have to pay an additional 7% to do so. I then asked about the advertised special of "Visit Our Showroom and save an Additional 5%". There are no stipulations or disclaimers on this offer in the ad either, but our sale person told us that it only applied to a special "Open House" they ran, and we could not get that either. Odd, as the same thing ran in the next ad, after my quote. Guess they have alot of "Open House Events" just none that apply to their ad offering. No reply to my email on 04/06. Form letter and no address to any questions after second email on 04/17. Not the way to do business!

This company took so long to get the job done, and they didn't even have the right materials. Finally, they got the materials and put the siding on. They did okay with their work, but they should really get organized on being done in a timely manner.

I was satisfied with the work they did but I was perturbed in the inaccuracy between the first set of windows and the second set of windows by the salesman. I felt there were extra charges that were unnecessary. The windows are a delightful and I enjoy them.

They really did a great job with the installation process and even hung my blinds back up when they were done. They did do some occasional moving of my things in which they didn't have to do but they were polite about doing it just the same. There were only two guys that did all the work and it all looked good when they were done. They did a nice job of cleaning up after themselves as well.

They came out after we requested them too and they measured the windows for us. They came back a few hours later to begin their work. They were very polite and also dedicated to my windows. They worked so hard and they barely talked. My windows work and look awesome.
