Joe and Century Pools were recommended by some friends. Jow and another man came out, looked at the pool, recommended a vinyl liner. They measured for the liner and had us pick the design we wanted. When the liner came in another man and a couple helpers arrived to fix places in the old concrete that needed to be patched and install the liner. The boss left and the 2 other young men did the work. Upon completion. I voiced my concerns over the sub-par installation. The beading at the top of the liner was already coming out. The boss came back along with Joe and fixed it. We then paid Joe the final payment of $3500.00. Joe was great, the liner we received was not the one we had picked, so Joe through in extras at no cost to make up for it. He gave us a copy of the final bill paid in full, along with all other paper work. I asked about sending in the warranty cards and he told me I did not need to as all I would need to do is call him at Century Pools. That was June 2006. We have really enjoyed the pool up till 2010 when the liner started pulling away from the wall at the shallow end. You could also move the floor of the liner with your feet and it was very wrinkled. We knew during the summer that we had a leak somewhere, as we were having to add water to the pool on a regular basis. We found the leak on the floor in one corner of the deep end. I tried to do an underwater patch on it. We had another company come out to give us a quote on repairing a hot tub we had bought and that was when we learned of Joe's passing. He even made the comment that and quot;joe would make this rightand quot; in regards to the leak in the pool and pulling of the liner. We closed the pool for the winter, and when we uncovered it to open this spring we found it relatively empty do to leak and a large rip in the liner at the corner of the deep end above the water line. When I called century to inquire about warranton liner and replacing it I spoke with Kim (joe's) daughter. I was questioned extensively as to what we did, like it was our fault. Several times I tried to explain all the processes we had done and that this was how we had seen it done by Joe and other man. I was then told that Joe did not have the best filing system and that it may take awhile to find our paperwork. I offered to fax her a copy of our bill but she declined, and continued to give me the run around. After becoming so frustrated with her I gave her my husbands phone number and asked her to call him back, as I was a teaching assistant and had a class at that time. She did call my husband, only to give him the same runaround. We have since tried to do repair work ourselves and have found that the concrete used to patch holes was not mixed with a bonding agent therefore had crumbled into chunks and brought down the padding on several of the walls. We now look at what was our pride and joy, as it sits empty. Unfortunately it is just myself and my husband. We are 50 and 60 and cannot put the liner back up by ourselves. We also cannot afford another $5500.00 to have it all redone again. It is truly sad that people no longer stand behind their word. Now when our son who is a marine comes home on leave we will be asking him to get some of his friends to try to help put the liner back up after we have patched the several holes we have now found and the big tear at the top. Maybe we can swim by the end of July? Update: After having several other companies come out to give us estimates, we have been told by several of them what a terrible job on the concrete patching, and we are looking at another $5000. + to have the work redone all over again. Unfortunately when we had it done the first time we had done a refinance on our home to have the money, we do not have that option now so our pool sits ugly and empty once again. I would never use this company again as they do not stand behind their work or warranties.
Description of Work: We had a 20x40 pool liner installed to an exisiting concrete pool. Joe the owner and another man came out measured for liner and looked at concrete that would need to be patched. The liner was ordered and when it came in work was started by the company or their sub-contractor, not sure. We also had to have new electric run to pool house so the job took approximately 2 weeks from start to finish.

They really did a nice job and I was very pleased with the final product. The quality of work was awesome and the workers were very friendly along the way. They tried their best to be neat and clean up after themselves as well as answer any questions that I had regarding the pool. I would definitely recommend this company.
Description of Work: We wanted to have a new pool built in the back yard so we had this company build us a 30 x 60 square foot in ground swimming pool.
