Carr's Rug Cleaning

Looked new when they finished. Jay did a very professional job.

I saw the Carr van on the road, and took down the name. I checked them on Angie's list and decided to give them a try. My mother had recently passed away, and I have a number of hooked rugs that she made. My father had also done a rug or two and I don't think they had ever been cleaned. So, I took 4 of them to Carrs. They asked if I had watched their process on the website. I had. They assured me they would handle them carefully. They took all the measurements and gave me an estimate. I was also give the option of having a pad for each one. This is not the time to be stingy, so I bought those too. It took about 10 days before they called me that the rugs were ready, but when I picked them up, they were in beautiful condition! I am very happy with the result!

They were excellent. They got the spot guaranteed for staying up. The other one that I used, the spot was back again within two weeks and I was not happy. Their price was little high but they were the only one’s that worked for sustained period. I would use them in the future.

I recently purchased an antique sofa that was extremely dusty, dirty and smelly. I didn't hold out much hope that cleaning it would help the appearance all that much, but was looking forward to the deoderization process.Two days prior to their appointment I received a call from them to make sure that the appointment date and time was still convenient for me. I was highly impressed with this customer service. However, on the day of the appointment they were late. I didn't receive a call to notify me that anyone was running late so I called them to ascertain the problem. Though they apologized for not calling to let me know, I was a bit perturbed but got over it. About 30 minutes after the appointment time, he arrived. He was very apologetic, neat in appearance, wore a uniform with the logo and his name on it so I knew who he was. He explained the process that would be used and told me that due to the age of the sofa, he would need to do a colorfast test to ensure that it wasn't going to fade. He also gave me an approximation of how long the whole process would take. I was again impressed with the time he took to apprise me of exactly how everything would go. He did exactly what he said he would do and even cleaned the mahogany wood on the sofa. While the colors that had faded with age will never be bright like they were a century ago, the sofa looks absolutely beautiful! It is amazing how dirty it was and how clean and fresh it is now. With the exception of the punctuality mishap, I have nothing bad to say about this company or the professional I worked with. Upon completion of the whole process, he supplied me with a bottle of cleaner to use for spot cleaning, gave me estimates on other rugs I have in my home that need attention and was overall absolutely a pleasure to talk with. I will definitly use them again and have already begun referring them.

They did a really good job. I had them out last year and they got it clean. They came out again this year and got it cleaner than they did last year. Their prices are a little high but it's worth it.

On time arrival. Technician explained what he was going to do and then began is work.

The rug looks new now. They are very impressive. Very knowledgeable. They explain everything that is going on. They show you how everything gets done.

I like that they did a job and we are very happy with the results.

They are more expensive than other providers, but the service they offer is worth the extra amount. They cleaned them like they have never been cleaned before. They look like brand new rugs when they were finished.

They came and explained what they were going to do. They were here for about half of the day, he did a great job.

I contacted the company on Tuesday, October 18th, and spoke to the representative (Donna). She was very nice and informative about their services and we discussed what I wanted done. We ball parked the estimated amount of square footage to be cleaned and she gave me a figure of between four to five hundred. Which she is very good because when Jay got there on Thursday, October 27th and actually measured it out it was pretty much right on. We've had the carpet now for about 8 years and it has never been professionally cleaned. I have cleaned it with my home carpet cleaners but now that I've had this done it doesn't even come close! My appointment was down for Thursday between 1-2 pm. Jay arrived right at 1pm and came right in to do his measuring after I did a walk through with him and went over what I wanted done. So after we did that and he measured, he gave me the total which at first since I've never had this done was a little of a shock but then I thought about the saying "You get what you pay for", and trust me it was worth it! I watched him work and asked him to please make sure to clean it good since we have two dogs and there have been some accidents and his response was " I don't know any other way to clean it but the best". I was amazed at the difference watching him clean. It was like we had a two tone carpet. How embarrassing! He took his time and didn't get finished until 5:45pm. Even after that he was nice enough to measure and give us a quote for cleaning our tile. Jay was very nice, friendly, and very informative about the work. Great job!

The word "wonderful" just doesn't cover it. Randall was on time, professional, courteous, efficient, thorough, sweet, and knew exactly what he was doing. He took his time and I feel as though I have a brand-new house! The detergent he used even smells good! Randall even listened to my constant talking and questioning and was very patient with me. The carpet is drying quickly, which is great. Also, the lady who answers the phone at the company is extremely sweet and helpful. I have 11 cats, if you need to know how dirty the carpet was (it hasn't been cleaned in at least five years.) Also, I got a $40 discount because my sister referred me. She was referred by someone else after she complained about how many carpet- cleaning companies she had used and didn't like; she has now used Carr's for several years. My carpet is now bright and clean, and I feel blessed. I could go on and on, but I think you get it! I am VERY happy.

The estimate had been done over the telephone, and I felt was reasonable for the work to be done. The person who cleaned the sofa and carpet arrived promptly and went right to work. I had misgivings about the upholstery being cleaned as I have tried to have it done when living in VA, and I was not satisfied at all. The sofa looked almost as good as new. The carpets were beautiful when completed, even though they are old and need to be replaced. I was given thorough instructions on care for the next couple of days and was given a bottle of their cleaner for spot cleaning. Was 100% satisfied with the job done and recommended the company to a friend about two weeks ago. Will definitely use Carr's again.

We prepared as instructed (we removed chairs, end tables, book case from living room and night stands, dresser, chest of drawers from bedroom). He worked around a sofa and love seat (living room) and the bed (bed room) Carr's will remove furniture, but at an added charge. A single technician arrived to do the work. He showed up on time, was polite and courteous, and worked diligently to complete the job. The carpet was damp but not overly wet at the end of the job. As it dried, we noted a few spots that were not as clean as the surrounding areas - we called and tech returned on the next business day to re-clean the areas. The spots were successfully cleaned (with no additional charge). Overall, we're very pleased with the results.

I booked this the week I was planning on having some associates over for a meeting. The dispatcher was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Based on my limited competence with math, we guessed at the square footage for the estimate. The technician was right on time, exceedingly friendly, and fast. As a bonus, the actual cost was around $100 less than the estimate, so I threw in another room (the living room). Additionally, he was able to get every stain out and the carpet now looks like new. Overall, an excellent experience.

I called literally the day before I wanted serivce and Marsha made it happen! I initially booked just our downstairs (two carpeted rooms- rest are hardwood and tile) with the option to add additional rooms. Randall arrived exactly when scheduled and could not have been more polite and professional. I was instantly at ease and he thoroughly and completely explained the measuring, estimate, etc. He used guards around the woodwork, pads and dropcloths to protect our home, and was very careful with our property. He even moved items that I said "you can just clean around that". I ended up having him clean the entire house- 6 rooms of carpet, a hallway and a staircase. I also added in a loveseat which came out beautifully. I felt bad giving even one "B" but felt people need to know this is not a cut rate operation ...you get what you pay for. The entire job was several hundred dollars, but I felt it was totally worth what we paid. I had 3 coupons and Randall calculated which would be the very best deal. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend Carr's and encourage others to experience their wonderful serivce. Mycarpets have never looked better!

Was called and reminded of my appointment much lide a doctor. Arrived on time and took two hours to complete job. Smaller furniture was moved and had option of paying additional to have all furniture moved. Scotchgard applied where directed. Upholstry cleaning was offered but declined. Would not hesitate to use Carrs in the future.

Everything was great. From the phone call to the payment. They even called to be sure I was pleased.

Overall, my experience with them was very good. They were very professional, prompt and thorough. They explained what they were doing, and their followup was good. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

From start to finish very professional. I was provided with a quote and other information over the phone and was given a new customer discount. The technician was punctual, very professional and courteous. He was very careful to protect my wood floors, baseboards, etc. during the cleaning process. The cleaning job was first class. Very thorough. I will use this company again and will recommend them to my family and friends.

On time, courteous staff. Unfortunately, they were unable to get the grout cleaners they had to work as expected, and they suggested there might be some sort of sealer on the tile that their cleaners couldn't penetrate. Mr. Carr sent a follow up e-mail and offered to try a different technique, and to give us a credit for our prior expense. We haven't done so yet, but anticipate that we will, and greatly appreciate his pro-active approach. They have handled this very well and we do not hestitate to give them a good recommendation despite the fact that things haven't gone as well for us yet as we hoped.

I found Carr's on Angie's List. They made me unhappy. Everything took longer than they said it was going to. I told them I was trying to schedule it so I would get clean carpets back before we moved. They delivered the carpet the day after I told them we were moving. Luckily we had changed the date. I got my carpet back and it was not square because they had brushed through it. The interaction I had getting it set up was fine and they seemed to understand my schedule. I was told they would have no problems getting it back to me, including a forgiveness of 3 days, and they still got it back late. They were friendly enough but they did not deliver like they said they would. And on top of that they charged me full price. I would tell others that if you hire them make sure you are not in a hurry. I was and I did not end up having the time to get my rug finished properly.

We had 3 bedroom carpets cleaned in a house we were selling. The technician was prompt, friendly and professional. He checked each room for problem areas and measured square footage. He told me how much it would be and made sure that it was alright for him to proceed. His quote was higher than the one given to me over the phone. That was my fault as I told the staff member a lower square footage measurement during my call. He proceeded with the cleaning, which he said would take about an hour. He placed guards around doorways, put walk-off mats on the floor and used shoe covers on his feet. He steam cleaned the carpets and used a rake on them afterward. He did a wonderful job. The carpets looked great. There were only a couple of spots he wasn't able to completely remove, and he told me he might have problems with them beforehand. He left me with a bottle of spot cleaner, instructions on how to use it, and some shoe covers in case we had to go into the bedrooms before they were fully dry. I used a coupon I found on their website for $40 off for first time customers. They might not be the cheapest, but they did a great job. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for carpet cleaning services.

The work was done professionally and courteously...beginning with the call to the office, the estimate and the work....VERY PLEASED!

It was a great expeerience. The two techncians were punctual, explained in great detail what was going to occur, and walked with us thru the house to inspect for special stains before they started. At the end, the explained fully what we were to do with the carpets drying time, and explained the 6 month stain guarantee. We have always felt rushed by other cleaners once they were done, but not with Carrs. After we read the Angie's list reviews, we decided to use Carrs but just for sanity checked with one other carpet cleaner for a price comparison. It seems that Carrs is on the high end, but I will go straight to Carrs next time for sure.
