Cantrell Fence and Deck

Had a fence installed in fall of 2020. Overall the fence looked amazing the installers did an amazing job. However, in the fall of 2021 had some boards begin to separate. Tried for several months to get ahold of them to come and fix it. Finally got ahold of Zollie the owner in spring of 2022. First told me several times he'd come out and mark the damged boards and never did. After months again of waiting, he finally came out on July 14, 2022. Marked and said they'd be here in 2 to 3 weeks to replace and of course no show. Tried again with no luck. Got ahold of Zollie again around December of 2022 and of course false promises. He finally sent me a message on February 23, 2023 said they'd be out the follow week or week of March 7, 2023 and again another no show (screenshot show). He claims the work was said to be done by a former employee again is false. On April 22 got ahold of Zollie once more, he again stated he'd get back with me on Monday April 24. Yet to hear a thing. Called every day since with no answer nor call back response.

No bashing just some background and a timeline. Called Cantrell for an estimate to replace some privacy fence. Zollie came out and gave some background on his company, insurance, bonding, ect, and gave me an estimate. One week later I called and asked to be put on the schedule. I was scheduled about 6 weeks out on a Monday. Monday gets here and I get a call from Zollie telling me they got behind the prior week and wouldn't be out that day but would know more that evening. I guess they didn't know this on Friday or the weekend and waited until I was sitting there waiting for them to show up? Didn't hear from them again until Friday when Zollie texted to let me know they would be out that afternoon. No one showed up. The next day I get a text from Zollie saying he was out running around and wanted to know if he could stop by for payment. I asked "for what". I never got a reply. The next time that I get contacted by Zollie is on Monday when he texted me to say they would be out that morning. Again no show.

Great! Work was done as discussed, sooner than originally estimated, at a fair price.

I’ve been put off going into 3 weeks. I was given excuse one after another for not starting this project. The last straw was the owner Zollie Cantrell called to say they would be out within the hour. 3 hours went by and a no show. Nor did I get any phone call to give reason they didn’t show. I would not recommend this company to no one. The owner has bad company practices. They never had any intention of doing this project. You will be sorry if you go with this company.
