+ 4 moreHe didn't even start the project for 6 months, though the contract stated he would begin within 30 days. I couldn't fire him at that time because of my weird bank financing. When he finally did start, work was slow and unpredictable, with such memorable events as tearing off the entire roof just before a rainstorm. Six months later, with the project less that a third done, he submitted a bill that the bank's inspectors rejected. Instead of working with them to determine what additional information they wanted, he filed a lien on the house and sued me for nonpayment, beginning 4+ years of protracted convoluted legal arguments during which he claimed everything from that I had taken the money from the bank and refused to pay him, to that I had "verbally authorized" him to charge four times the amount of the contract. Five years later the house still isn't finished, and despite a judge throwing out his lien, he still refuses to remove it.
Description of Work: Ken Bronson was supposed to completely renovate my house, including structural work, exterior repairs, all systems, drywall, new kitchen, etc. All he accomplished in a year's time was some siding repair, framing the back and front porches, re-roofing, and some work within the crawlspace before he walked off the job.
