It is really complicated to buy a mattress when you have health problems related to sleeping. I needed a mattress that would be soft enough for arthritis pain and did not emit chemicals that are found in some foam mattresses. Nick Taylor at the Bed Store on Kingston Pike spent a long time explaining about the component of mattresses and showed me several mattresses that would be suitable for my health problems. Once I had chosen a mattress, I decided to buy an adjustable frame, which is good for people like me who have breathing problems and varicose veins. He had someone place the mattress I chose on the right adjustable frame so I could feel how they worked together. When the mattress was delivered to my home, the movers adjusted the legs of the bed to make it the right height. The result--great night of sleeping without pain in the morning and no breathing problems. I highly recommend Nick Taylor and the Bed Store if you want a great mattress.

Recently we spent over $5500.00 to purchase a mattress, adjustable frame, latex toppers, and other options at The Bed Store on Kingston Pike, near West Town Mall. I was being assisted by a nice young lady, but overhearing the conversation, Nick, the store manager, quickly came over, interrupted, and assumed control insisting he was better qualified to give me the assistance and advise I needed. Nick added his store was in the midst of a sale, which was to end in a couple of days and he hoped I would be able to take advantage of it... While trying out different topper options for the mattress being considered I told Nick I was going to have a two inch piece of pure latex left over from our discarded mattress. This could be used as toppers with the new mattress, but I would need topper covers to protect them. Nick said he would provide the two new topper covers at no charge, with the purchase of the mattress, if purchased before the sale ended. I needed to bring my wife back for her approval. I had to leave. So for added reassurance, Nick told me he had researched the internet and all of the local competition to assure me the prices he was quoting were the abo\solute lowest available and if I would leave a $100.00 deposit towards my purchase, I would receive the sale pricing when I returned. I declined, but told Nick, I liked the products and would return within time to qualify for the sale prices. A few days later I returned with my wife for her approval. We decided to make an additional purchase of the three inch latex toppers ($796.00 plus tax) assuring us of maximum possible comfort with our purchase. I asked Nick if he would still provide the other set of two inch topper covers at no charge as previously promised. Nick made a phone call for permission, then agreed. A little more than a week later they called for delivery of our mattress. Everything was fine except the additional set of topper covers was missing....... I called Nick to inquire and he told me they were on order, he would call when the come in. I sensed something wasn't quite right with this, but went along, figuring I would have these items in a couple of days. After all, I'm dealing with the "Best Mattress Store in East Tennessee" operating several locations, surely there could not be any problem in acquiring such a basic item as topper covers.. Well, another week went by and I called Nick again to see where the topper covers are. They had to be special ordered, he said, They have been shipped and I will call you Thursday with a status report or sooner, if they arrive. Well, Thursday came and went, it is now well past three weeks since our purchase. No phone calls and no topper covers. I've been lied to and duped!! Why? Guess this is their way of "Tucking Me In". Nick also requested I post a testimonial on their website. The bitterness of deceit and poor service will linger long after the sweetness of low price has been forgotten. There are better retailers, to place your confidence in and spend your money with, this one is not worth the hassle!
