The employees from BALLAU STEAMATIC arrived on Tuesday, collected their equipment and left. Our house was an absolute mess with the dust from under the carpet all over our kitchen, bedrooms, and closets containing our children's clothing. They did manage to send us our first bill over the weekend though. A call from my wife to BALLAU STEAMATIC as to when the work was going to completed resulted in a call from the project manager stating they were finished with the cleanup as the carpet was going to be replaced. My wife spoke with a Ms. Ballau and after explaining the terrible conditions our home was left in did manage to have someone return to do a quick cleanup. When the employees of BALLAU STEAMATIC left we were forced to sanitize our own floors, remove the under carpet debris from our bedding, clothes, and dishes. Our cleanup efforts did have to wait as the stressful exchanges with BALLAU STEAMATIC did put my pregnant wife into labor several weeks early so we came home to a mess.
Description of Work: Our house was flooded with water containing urine and fecal matter by a four year old in a heinous a potty training incident. BALLAU STEAMATIC was the contractor chosen by insurance to complete the work. Employees of BALLAU STEAMATIC came into our home on a Friday and placed fans and dehumidifiers under the carpet. There was also a small area of carpet and pad removed from the hall and a bedroom section. We were assured that they would return to disinfect the areas exposed to the contaminated water and cleanup the resulting mess as dust and every imaginable thing that was under our carpet was blown all over everything we own by high pressure fans. We had a dreadful time with BALLAU STEAMATIC and there was little effort to make our situation manageable. I was left with a four year old boy, a pregnant wife and a house with contaminated floors and debris all over everything and a house temperature in the 90's thanks to the equipment. Payment was made by homeowners insurance.

+ -1 moreBallau Steamatic did a really good job of cleaning our carpets. They got all of the stains out and everything. The man who came listened well and paid special attention to the areas on the carpets that I was worried about. The carpets also dried very quickly.
Description of Work: We had Ballau Steamatic clean the carpets in two rooms of our 2650 square foot home.

The guys did a real good job, but they were suppose to come back and put trim around the baseboard and buff the floor. I didn't really care that they didn't do that, because it was an unfinished basement, and I was getting ready to have it finished. There was no mold from the flooding and I was happy about that.
Description of Work: My dog chewed through the water supply line in my basement and it flooded, so the work crew came in and sucked up the water. They then used a dry vac to dry it up and brought in these big blowers. After they finished, they treated the basement for mold. The cost was twelve hundred dollars, but my homeowners insurance paid for it.

+ -1 moreWe got our moneys worth from Steamatic. They moved furniture in every room. They cleaned every inch of our carpet and replaced all the furniture on small blocks. They are a small local company who did good work for more than reasonable price.
Description of Work: They cleaned our entire four bedroom home which included a hallway, living room and stairs.

+ -1 moreBallou Steamatic did a great job on our carpets. They stains were removed and the carpets look new. I was very satisfied with the service. I have used their services many times and have always been pleased. I would highly recommend them to others.
