Baker Concrete

They are prompt, courteous, and do good work. My sister has also used them and they are really good. I have used them twice now. So far the sidewalk and bricks are doing just fine. They were very responsive and even called if they were going to be late. The workers were all very friendly, polite, and nice.

Mr. Willie Baker did everything possible to make my experience with his company a cordial and professional experience. He made calls to me keeping me informed of the time he was leaving to do the job. His staff was professional at the same time, the workmanship was perfect. He even picture framed the concrete and he sealed it. I've already asked him for an estimate to pave my entire driveway and garage area.

The work went very well. A little delay balancing jobs, but much better than other contractors I've dealt with in the past. If I have another concrete job in the future, I will go to Baker Concrete first.

We previously used Baker Concrete to add a small section to our patio and were so pleased with the result that we chose them again when we decided to enlarge the patio and replace our driveway. We ended up off-schedule through no fault of Mr. Baker, but due to the fact that it began raining and rained for almost an entire week between the removal of the old asphalt driveway and pouring the new concrete Mr. Baker stayed in constant contact with us and completed the job as quickly as the weather allowed. They did a beautiful job on the driveway, including installing drainage in front of the garage doors, which will now keep our garage dry in heavy rain. The additional patio space is great and will give our granddaughter lots of new play space. The entire crew was very hard working and professional and made sure we would be happy with the work they had done. Several of our neighbors watched the process and were very impressed with the work that was done.

They made a phone call with an estimate and they were supposed to follow up a week later with some other business information before we made the final determination on getting the work done, but I have never heard anything back from them. Otherwise, they looked like they knew what they were doing and they used all the right terminology.

Mr Baker was great , came on time and finished nicely with smile, He did driveway extension, digging and concrete pouring, great work,very humble and timely service ,will use more if needed. very understanding , gave extra bargain and more service than originally asked for .

We had three brick columns that were leaning to the point that I was concerned that they were going to fall. I had several estimates to correct the problem but most of them were cost prohibitive. I called Willie and gave me a very good price. I let him do the work and I could not be more pleased. He and his crew were very professional and polite. Willie is a good Christian man that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Excellent! They communicated their schedule since it was highly dependent on having a couple of rain free days. They arrived on time, performed the work quickly, and finished as promised. They cut expansion grooves in the finished driveway. We couldn't be more pleased. I recommend them without reservation. Top notch!

Willie responded very quickly. Quoted an excellent price. Performed excellent service. Willie stood by his work and went above and beyond the call of duty without being asked. They excavated for the patio, hauled all the excess dirt away, came back the next day and poured the patio. On the 3rd day they removed all the forming and made sure everything was in top notch shape.

He was very quick in returning phone calls. He went out of his way to work with me on the price of the project. I will be using him again later this fall to install a patio. So thankful for Angie's List for helping me find this wonderful business man.

From the first visit for an estimate of several areas that I needed concrete work/repair, to the completion of the job that I chose to have done at this time, everything was done in a a very professional manner, and with clear explanations of what they were going to do. Willie built a concrete pad for my riding lawn mower behind my storage building, and also a smaller one to put my rain barrel on--he even added "extras" --a ramp to drive the tractor up onto the pad, and he built in some metal "hooks" so that I can chain and lock my mower. I would recommend Willie's work to anyone.

Mr. Baker was very easy to work with, returning our phone calls almost immediately and working with our schedule and needs to accomplish this job. He informed us of what each step of the work would entail and was very professional in all his dealings with us. We are very pleased with the work he did and feel that the cost was very reasonable for what he did. He was able to get the job done much sooner than we had expected and we are really looking forward to using the new, expanded space this spring and summer. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Willie returned calls quickly, and was very responsive as we worked out how to do the driveway, and as I asked for minor changes in forms and layout. While he was less concerned than I about cold-weather curing (my engineering background), his crew was diligent, and did a very nice job.

We can't say enough good about these people. They were prompt, EVERYDAY, and worked a full day. They worked hard & never left a mess - other than the patio chunks they removed on the first day to be hauled away the next day which was understandable. The reason we had the patio done was that it was cracked & sloped toward the house & water was coming in the basement. Willie & his crew were friendly & polite & explained everything that needed to be done to rectify our problem. Their price was very fair. Originally the patio was the only thing we had contracted them for but then when we decided we should go ahead & have the front walkway repaired as long as they were there with the cement truck & they happily accommodated us. We were very happy with the results of both jobs, our patio & walk look beautiful again. We've had bad experiences with other contractors we've hired for other jobs............mostly not returning our phone calls, not showing up on time, taking 2 hour lunches-sometimes not even coming back, and leaving a mess & tools scattered all over when they left for the day. Definitely NOT the case with these guys! They were here to work & get the job done, even coming back after dark because we also wanted a little patch done on another piece of the walkway. We appreciate their professionalism & would definittey hire them back for any other concrete work we need done.

Mr. Baker is prompt and professional; his work is high quality and we still have people stop and ask us who did the driveway work. Other workers we have had from time to time have commented 'whoever did that driveway really knew what they were doing.' We have also made referrals to him. He was prompt for the estimate appointment and personally inspected the crumbling driveway and measured it carefully. He arrived promptly for the bid proposal appointment, and on the scheduled start date and each day of the work. He gave us a great price and included leveling the adjoining sidewalk and area adjoining the driveway. Clean up throughout the job was great. When we were concerned about a rough spot that developed after the job was dry, he came right out and smoothed it over. He is great to work with and very respectful and friendly. His crew as well. The scoring lines he cut-in to provide for shifting has meant that the driveway still looks just as good over a year later as it did when first poured. Highly recommend! There were no problems. Each step of the operation was professionally and efficiently completed. Two additional men were brought in to do the pouring and finish work. We are totally pleased with the results. Our driveway was made wider to accommodate both our cars. And a slab was poured in the back yard adjacent to steps coming down from the back deck. The cost was in line with the original estimate,

Mr. Baker came out and quoted the job within a day of my initial call, and then he was able to get the work done within a couple of days after we decided to use his company. He accepted a coupon we found on Angie's list. It wasn't a big job but he was very reasonable, quick and did exactly what we asked for. Would definitely recommend and use him again.

We had them build an 18.5 x 12 patio to replace our old deck. The deck was about 5 feet high, so they built the patio with a storage area underneath it. The outside walls were bricked to match the larger patio they built for us last year. They built steps down to the existing patio and tied all of the work together. The previous patio had dropped on the corner it allowed rain to pool. We had agreed he would repair one section of the patio when they replaced the deck. When Willie Baker noticed that the large patio also had dropped on one corner, he proposed reinforcing and then re-pouring the entire 32 x 20 and 11 x 12 patio areas. The entire patio is uniform and drains properly. We are very satisfied with Baker Concrete's professionalism and work ethic. They are proactive, responsive, and work until the job is finished. I would highly recommend them.

The men jackhammered the 6-inch-thick 5' x 10' slab of concrete little-by-little, cutting the rebar as they went, and hauled off the chunks of concrete. Because the diving board stand was filled with concrete, the process took a little longer than expected and after working about six hours the first day, they had to come back for about two more hours the next day to finish. They used a cut-off saw to remove the diving board stand a little below ground level as I asked. I have already called Baker Concrete back to bid on another small cement pouring job that I need done.

We had them put in new sidewalks in the front of our house and a new patio in the back. They first came out and looked over the job and came back with a quote within a few days. They had to remove the existing concrete pavers and stones and all landscape timbers. They had to widen the walks, dig out all the dirt and level everything. This was in incredible amount of work and they basically had everything laid out in one day. We had them make a few minor changes the next day and they were very happy to do it. They poured the sidewalks and patio the next day and cleaned up the entire area. They even hauled all the pavers and stones to the back of our house where we want to use them for another purpose. I wasn?t at home when the work was done, but my husband said that the entire team was very professional throughout the entire process. We are extremely pleased with everything and we can?t wait until we are able to use the walks and the patio. I would highly recommend using Baker concrete and we will use them in the future if we ever need more concrete work done. Thanks again for a great job! Called Mr. Baker and he came out same day to give estimate. Came back a few days later to do the work. Were done in short time, Excellent work and matches the existing concrete perfectly.I'm sure this was just a small job to Mr. Baker but he and his crew did the work like it was a huge important job.

Willie responded promptly when I left a message on his phone inquiring about his services. He then came to my house within a couple of days and provided an estimate for the job. When I decided to use his company to do the work, he indicated that he could begin the job within a week from that time. He arrived as scheduled and completed the job within two working days. Willie and his assistants seemed knowledgeable and worked efficiently. During the process, I requested a small additon to the project and Willie accommodated my request for a very reasonable addition to the cost of the overall project. In addition to their professionalism, they were always very courteous and willing to answer any questions from me or my wife. Since we were unable to access the front entrances to our house during the project, they assisted my wife in carrying groceries from the street to our back door. We appreciated their attention to numerous small details.
