It went pretty good, they were on time but no one at the office checked the finished product after installing and the progress of the work.

Worked with Jason and Bryan. Bryan showed up on time and was very professional and knowledgeable about what to do with my yards to make them look better. I live in a condo development and just could not keep up with it. They did an excellent job and now my yards are the envy of the neighborhood. I would definitely use them again. They are also replacing shutters on the front of my house in a week or so and I am positive that will look amazing. Thank you Archies Stone and Fireplace for the excellent service!!!

Everything went well from the sales person to the guys who performed the work. Everyone arrived on time and did what was promised. The salesman did a great job of evaluating the the house, and did not push me to do more than was needed. The two men who worked on the house seemed determined to do everything right. It was a hot, humid day, so I know it could not have been comfortable in my attic. They did great work, and.perfect cleanup when they were finished. I waited until TVA did their evaluation of the work performed to post my review. They passed with flying colors. I would highly recommend this company.

Met with & gave (non-) Provider a set of plans for new construction home for the pricing of insulation & fireplace install, after (2) follow up calls by me within a (3) week time frame was told working on pricing however after 30 days received no price and never heard back at all.

work is going on and the foreman he;s there in my daughters bedroom with the dresser door open running through the dresser door. My daughter later on is looking for some of her jewelry and it's gone, she cant find it anywhere.

The guy who came to our house did a fantastic job and their service price was reasonable. Their service was satisfactory. They came when they said they were going to come.

They came out right away and gave us the estimate. They had the best estimate. They were here right away after we made the appointment to get the work done. What stood out was the promptness of getting here and getting the work done. They didn't drag it out and the price was right too. The people were friendly, courteous, and seemed to know what they were doing.

Archie's Stone and Fireplace were friendly and professional. They were prompt and did what they said they would do.

It didn't go

We got the crazy idea to build a screened porch off of our dining room onto our elevated deck. 3/4 of the way through the project we decided a stacked stone woodburning fireplace would be really cool on the outside corner of the porch. John King of Farragut Sunrooms & More, who was building the porch, said "I've never put one in a porch like this before, I don't know if it can be done. Let me call my buddy Bob at Archie's Stone & Fireplace." We visited Archies and consulted Bob Schmid about the type of porch, the elevated deck, and our idea for a fireplace. He discussed with us the stone and fireplace options, but expressed concern about being able to build the fireplace on the style of porch we had. He too, had never built a fireplace on this type of porch. After consultation with the manufacturer of the porch, Bob, & John, it was decided a woodburning fireplace could not be installed. We were bummed, but John would not let it go. "Lets get everybody out here and check it out," John said. So Bob & Richard of Archie's came out and looked and measured and looked some more; then looked at each other, and said "heck yeah we can design and build this". Richard sketched out a diagram on the floor of the porch and he & Bob spent the better part of a morning discussing how they could design and build the firebox. We wanted a mantle for the fireplace as well but did not know exactly what we wanted. Bob said "I got a guy in Powell who cuts and cures all his own wood - I'll take care of it." And now we have a beautiful cherry mantle over the fireplace. We were very impressed with the quality and professionalism of Archie's Stone & Fireplace. Special mention goes to Christian from Archie's, who came out early on a cold Saturday morning and hand laid the stone fireplace - floor to ceiling stone -he had a real artistic eye for his work. The fireplace is beautiful, draws perfectly, and is exactly what we wanted. We commend Archie's for "thinking outside the box" and providing a unique solution for our crazy idea.

In 2009, the beginning of the process was a little shaky, the original estimate papers were lost & a new estimate had to be done, but I can understand that sometimes stuff happens. After the second estimate the materials for the job were in within 2 weeks & the job was scheduled. The gentlemen who did the work were professional, courteous, and they stayed until the job was done (8pm). We are very happy with the end product, our fireplace is beautiful now! We also purchased our gas logs & logs for my dads house from Archies and are not very impressed with the logs, they were pretty but my dad's had to be replaced under warranty and ours have cracked and broken (from the heat?), we won't be buying those logs again. Now we are preparing to do our main level fireplace and have left a message at Archie's to get an estimate scheduled! Will update later with those results! 9/27/12 The Update: The rep for Archies did not show up as scheduled to do the estimate, we have left two messages since then and have received no response. Now I am calling Mad Hatters & hoping for better results. Appears that if you want reliability, Archies is not the company to call.

Originally I had one of their reps come and give me an estimate to seal my chimney and install some gas logs. After the rep came out he said he would send someone out the following Monday to measure the chimney so they can give me an estimate on the sheet metal and labor. The following Monday, no one showed up. I waited later in the week to see if anyone would show up and no one did. Then I called and they said they could not find the paperwork. I went over to the office and they re-wrote the paperwork, but still was not given a price. After I spoke with the rep who came out for the estimate, he said to go to the showroom and pick out the set of logs I wanted. So I did, but again, they could not find my paperwork. So the rep in the office said he would let the other rep know (since he probably had my paperwork). So I waited again, and no calls. I went over to the office again. Once again, no paperwork. I told them this is my 3rd time having to come to the office and I just wanted to get it started. The rep said he would re-do the paperwork and have someone call that afternoon. No one called. Now, this place is located less than a mile from my house, but I hired another company 20 miles away who were completely professional, courteous, and prompt. I will not be using Archie's for anything. You lost a customer.

The crew that came went above and beyond what I expected. They were meticulous in getting the job done right, while keeping things clean in the process. They were very professional, went the extra mile for me, and I really appreciated it. I had the attic inspected after they left, and the inspector said it was one of the best jobs he'd seen. Thank you, Archie's!

I used this company in the past to put in a new fireplace and they did a great job. They also did the insulation over at Grace Baptist Church. They blew the insulation right into the walls on a smaller addition we had built onto the home. The room is nice and air tight now. I am sure we'll use them again. It was such a small job I don't know what I paid but the estimate was reasonable I remember.
