Advanced Heat, A/C, & Plumbing

Purchased a deal, scheduled the first time and the service provider cancelled because of weather condition which was 30 minutes before the appointment which I lost a day of work. They only have an early appointment after a month, and the apt today was between 8-10 and the tech called me at 9-15 and told me that he was 20 to 30 minutes away. I decided to cancel because I can't take off anymore time from work

The work went quickly. He was very efficient and personable. I will definitely use them again.

The service rep. was very good and professional. The issues I had were unlike other Angie's list services I have bought the company did not contact me I had to reach out to them. I had scheduled an early service call and had written on my calendar. 30 minutes after I had them scheduled for and no show I called and was told they had me for an afternoon service call. I had to reschedule my work plans for that day.

Did a good job. The system was old and had to be replaced. We were not suprised.

They came out before the heating season. October. One person came and worked about forty-five minutes. They inspected the whole furnace and got it ready for winter. They lit the gas.

Only negative is they gave me an hour time frame as to when they would be there and said they would call 20 minutes prior to arrival. Would've preferred an 8am appt. where they show up at 8am.

Job performance was great. There were some minor difficulties during installation, but tech stayed with until all issues resolved. Manufacturing error. Not the technicians fault. Good install.

They are not professional with their schedule. They booked me for the morning, I got the morning off to attend them and suddenly they move to afternoon without advising the customer on that. The result is, expect to stay the whole day seating at your house and waiting for them because they don't care about you.

Although I wish they had called me first, once we made contact, they made an appointment, showed up, did the work and left the bathroom spotless. I would definitely recommend this company.

He came on time and did a good job.

Technician was helpful with answering questions. Services completed in timely fashion. Arrived near the later end of the quoted time frame.

I found them on Angie’s list. We pay for a year. We buy the service many months for a year so it did not cost us anything on that visit. They do the job they say they are going to do. They are on time and professional. I would use them again.

No review - I'm only posting to stop AL from harassing me about providing a review. I did not contact this vendor and no work was done.

A work order was placed with them 7/5 to check and advise needed repairs and it took 5 days to get someone to the house to look at it. After examination, the problem was diagnosed as a broken tube that more or less separated the hot water from the cold. Of course, the part had to be gotten and the service guy had to come back to fix the problem. We were told he would do his best to be back the following day by 11:00 to finish. When 11:00 passed the next day, I called and found out that the job had been pushed out to the following week because they were just too busy. I raised enough fuss that they got there the next day and replaced the part but it didn't fix the problem. I issued a recall on the workorder and when they sent the next technician out he said the bottom element was out on the heater and that his recommendation would be to replace the heater. They had to call the home warranty company but we would be contacted in 24-48 hours. That was Wednesday, 7/20. we never heard from anyone and on Monday, 7/25, the water heater went completely out. They are not scheduling to put the new heater in until Tuesday, 8/2. I have talked to Sierra, Stephanie, and Michael there and they are useless. No one there will call you back. I was even told by Stephanie that the home warranty company I was using had them covered up and that maybe I should find someone else to do my work. I am told I need to be "reasonable" because my water heater has to be purchased before it can be installed but it isn't special and they sell water heaters all over Knoxville so what is the hold-up? This company may do good heating and air work but I don't know that they should be soliciting plumbing work.

They did a great job. They were on time, informative, respectful, honest, and fixed the fuse. They didn't try to up sell me.

This is one the worst experience I have ever had with a service based company. It took four days for the technician to make his initial visit. Once it was determined what the problem was, I contacted Ferguson who had the part in stock but Advanced was not willing to get to purchase the part from them. It is now Monday, July 11 and after calling Advanced myself I just found out they won't be back to complete the service until Thursday, July 14. Their excuse is that the part was not ordered until today because they were too busy on Friday to place the order. Again, I reminded them that Ferguson has the part in stock right now but they will not budge. I asked for an explanation and was told, "my husband had already been given an explanation." When I demanded to hear for myself why there was such a delay and the part was not ordered last week, the office manager Stephanie told me that I could come do their job for them. If Advanced Heating & Air doesn't have adequate staff to handle such simple tasks as ordering parts or enough service techs to fill each request in a timely manner, they should not be accepting new service calls from the home warranty company. At the very least, they should have the professionalism and courtesy to be polite and apologetic to their customers for not being able to manage properly. It is entirely unacceptable that eleven days is considered a standard of service to repair an AC unit in the middle of summer for a home with four children living in it.
