Worst ever service. Problems with install. Spent over 5 hours calling ADT - even office in Florida. All they offered was a 30 dollar credit. Glad contract is up. They never ever ever ever tested my system. Two times I set it off - I called them - they did not even know!

I have had the ADT alarm system in place for many years and the pulse system was installed a few years back. Recently we have been having error messages and have had to have repair personnel out to work on the system. We are under a service contract so it isn't costing us but each time someone comes and 'fixes' it the problem happens a few days later. Everyone is very courteous and when the system worked it was fine, but multiple service calls to fix an issue is a hassle, and each time they come now I see it more as an exercise in futility. Our plans are to move to another company soon. They did credit my bill after I requested it,but never offered a do have never been contacted by a more senior service person. I would expect both of this things after the recurrent problems. update: after writing this review I was contacted by ADT corporate office. A technician and supervisor made 2 more visits and worked hard to get the system repaired correctly.

The only system ADT offers now is wireless, however the transponders are not hidden anymore. If they had installed the system, all of my doors would have had noticeable equipment on them. I asked the ADT tech if he could put them on in a manner that was hidden (like when I was with Brinks), he said that he can only put in one system now, so no options. I decided to go with another vendor that had options which were a better fit for my house. The system I installed is like the system on my old house that Brinks installed, however wireless as well. When I called ADT to cancel and explained the new system would not meet my needs, they told me that is fine but I still had 8 months left on my contract. They went on to say that I must pay the 8 months outstanding and asked for my new address to send the bill. Making a long story short, I finally spoke with a "supervisor" and the best they were willing to give me was a 20% reduction. So, they don't care that their system could not meet my needs nor could they install the system I needed. The company I purchased the system from previously was purchased by ADT, which was not a good thing for us. I will never use them again, ever. The fact that I tried to use them but couldn't, they didn't care even after I had been with them for so many years. They are going to make me pay even when they are providing me no service. Buyer beware, they will make you pay regardless of your situation and the alarm system is not sophisticated, in my opinion. You may even be able to buy something comparable over the internet and use your wifi to monitor.

It has been a real headache - no one's fault - just the way it is. We are so scared the intruders will return when the system is down.

I started to use them because they came around in our neighborhood. I would not recommend them. The alarm unit was broken within 45 days, and they will not come and fix it. When they came out to set up the alarm, they told me that they would send my contract to me. They never sent the contract. When I started using them, I thought it was for only 30 days, however they told me I signed up for 36 months that I was not aware of. They will not release me from the contract, and they are making my pay anyway.

ADT Security Services Inc is good and reliable. They are stating to get expensive though, I tell you that.

My likes that they responded quickly to our alarm. They have good friendliness and professionalism. The price is competitive.

Did an online request for explanation and estimate of services. I liked what I heard so I scheduled a time for installation. The job planner was very easy to work with and we scheduloed a time that was convenient for me. On installation date, the service representative (Neal) called to tell me that he would be at my home in two hours. He called again in one hour and said he would be at my home in 30 minutes. He was there in 30 minutes, Did complete installation and everything went smoothly, he was very efficient. After installation the representative (Neal) went over how the system operates, then he went over and over it again until I was comfortable with everything. I am very pleased with ADT Security Services and I have recommended them to friends that have also hired them. Also,the price quoted is right-on, exactly as advertised - no hidden fees. Another Note: ADT Security Services is nation-wide but their home office is in Knoxville, TN.

The alarm system was fixed successfully and all my dealings with ADT over a period of several years have been handled in a professional way. I highly recommend this company.

The entire experience has been a fiasco since the beginning, June 18th, 2010. The contract was signed on a Friday evening, after the main office had closed. When I signed it, the salesman told me that he would mail me a copy, as he needed a work order number, and couldn't get it until Monday morning when the office opened. They installed the alarm the following Thursday, (one day after I could cancel the contract, which I still didn't have.) The tech explained the system to me briefly, set the alarm pass-code, handed me the manual, and left. Within a month, the battery on one of the door sensors went bad. They charged me $30 for the battery, and$75 to come out and install it. When I complained, I was told that sometimes they get old batteries in a batch. In August, I received an automated phone call telling me that my alarm was not working. I called the office and was told there was a break in a line, and that it would cost me $75 for them to come and fix it. I explained to them, as I had the salesman, that I am on a fixed income, and I can't do this monthly. It was their wire that broke, please come make it right? "No." I had 2 months of being charged for monitoring without a working alarm. When I called again in September, after another automated call, they told me that apparently the phone company had broken it, and needed to fix it. So I called the phone company, and they came and fixed it. The alarm then worked for approximately 2 weeks, when the battery in the same sensor went bad, and the sensor would not stay on the door. Upon my call, I was again told $75 service call, and the cost of the batter. I told them never mind, I wanted to cancel the service. I was then told I had signed a one year contract and that I'd have to pay 75% of the remaining contract in a lump sum to be able to cancel. I still had not received a copy of the contract and told them so. They told me that they would mail one to me promptly. In November, I called again, to ask for a copy of my contract. I was told that one would be mailed that day. I have called them monthly since, to tell them that I want that contract, and that I'm very unhappy with the handling of this situation. I'm always told, "It's in the mail. Sorry we can't help you more." I called in June, 2011, at the end of my year of paying for an alarm system that didn't work. I was then told that it was a 36 month contract, and that I would have to pay 75% to cancel. 13 months after the initial installation, I have paid 13 payments of nearly $41 for approximately 2 months service. They still will not send me a copy of the contract, the still will not fix the problem, and have ignored my complaints.

I find this is the trend today. Better service for new customers. the old loyal customers get nothing.

The system is still not yet working and they are trying to sell me a new system but I am still in negotiations about how to go about getting the system up and running again. The guy that came out was very good but he didn't know that ADT changed the rules on him.

We had the system for several years now and thankfully we haven't had any real emergencies. During a false alarm, they notified the proper authorities quickly and they reacted to everything as if our lives depended on it. It was very comforting.

When I first began to use their system, I had numerous problems and they didn t respond to the alarms going off in my home. It was due to their poor wiring skills that made us have the false alarms. They got most of the kinks worked out, however we still are having some minor problems with them.

We have been using ADT to monitor our home alarm for almost six years and they have never done anything to make us want to change companies. Their service is very good and we have never had a false alarm.

ADT does a really good job of monitoring our home alarm system. We have used them for five years and have never had a false alarm. We thankfully, have never had a break-ins either. The service is very reasonable and provides great peace of mind to me and my family.

They were wonderful and they came when they were scheduled to. They hooked everything up really quick and efficient. They also explained to us how to use it properly. We hit it off good because he even stayed longer and talked to my husband.

We feel very safe, especially since they are linked to all of our local emergency departments to make sure that they get really fast response times. We are really happy using ADT to monitor our home alarm system. We have also never had any false alarms.

I had hired ADT Security Systems to install a twenty four hour a day monitored home security system in my home with two window alarm detectors and an inside and an outside motion detector. They had many different home security system packages available, and the sales associate that came to our home was very thorough when he went over them with us, and he helped us pick the right one for our needs. The service contracts with them are usually a two year agreement. The prices were pretty competitive, and we decided on a full two year agreement. The guy who did the installation of the system had no trouble at all hooking it up, and he made sure we new how to properly work the system before he left. ADT has been pretty good to us, however we recently changed because we found a company offering lower rates.

ADT has been monitoring our alarm system for the past two years. They actually did the initial installation of our system when we first started using them. We haven't had any false alarms, but we do a check-up regularly every month to make sure it's working properly.

They manage to keep my family and I safe at little to no money. They are very reliable and trustworthy and will answer any of your questions or come fix things as soon as they can. I am overall happy with the company, they really do great work. I am always pleased with this company.

We really can't say anything bad about their services because we have never even needed their services. We have never even had a false alarm. We really do feel secure with using them.

We've used ADT for the last fifteen years and are quite pleased with them. We actually had a break in and the alarm went off instantly. However, there was a time lag before the police came out. ADT does a good job.
