 + -1 moreGenerally the service was good. My only problem was the installation was several weeks after the promised date. Workmanship was near perfect and the price was reasonable.

 + -1 moreThe story is above. I definetly would not use this company again.
Description of Work: I received an estimate to remove part of our playground fence (I own a child care) and to install new fencing (making the playground larger) as well as to move a gate. The installers came without notice and were constantly smoking. I had to ask them not to smoke because this was a smoke free buisness. One man kept complaining about where he had to go next and how long a day he was going to have to work. They removed the fence but left the concrete behind. The put in the new fence but it was not level. They had hammered one of the post too far in the ground. When I asked them about it, they said it was because of the mulch we had on the ground. I ask then ask the head man and he said the same thing. I had requested that part of the fence be straighted. (part of the old fence) . I knew it would cost me extra because it was in my estimate. It was obvious he did not want to do it. The man also told me he could not put the fence where we were told it would go. So we lost several feet. The man in charge told me he had had this buisness for awhile. So, that makes me think that Ace Fencing contracted my job out to someone else. I called the man who gave me the estimate and asked him to come out and look at the fence. He said he would be out the next day but did not come or call. The following day he showed up (I was 15 mins away) and he would not wait. He spoke with one of the teachers and she said he really did not seem concerned about our concerns. No attempt has been made to come back or even call us about fixing the problems. Since then I have had someone else come out and fix the fence as well as remove the concrete.

 + -1 moreIt took me two phone calls to get a representitive to call me back (a total of 3 days after the initial call). The quote was free and reasonable. When I called back to get a different estimate he never returned my call, A call was returned to my father at 3:00 on a friday and the representitive told him he was done for the day & would follow up on Monday. It is just hard believe that in this economy that I could not get a simple quote within 5 business days. Needless to say I did not hire them for the job. I found an independent contractor that jumped on the opportunity to install a fence in my yard.

 + -1 moreThere was damage to our iron fence caused by an auto accident, as the installer of the fencing Ace was our natural choice to do the repair. We contracted to have the repair on 5/18/07. In the three months from contract to job completion, I contacted the company on several occasions. The majority of these times I did not receive a return call. When I did receive return calls I was told they did not know when the project would be completed. I requested to be told when the product arrived and when the workers would be on my property. I was not informed when the workers were on my property nor was I given the opportunity to approve the work done. I was not aware the work was done until the bill arrived on 7/19/07. I sent the company a letter of complaint because I was not satisfied with the work done. The company obviously received the letter because the problems in installation were fixed. However, no one from the company ever contacted me about my complaint.

 + -1 moreThe workers that Ace Fence Company sent to do our work were very experienced and knowledgeable. I did feel like that the price was a little bit higher than it should have been.
Description of Work: Ace Fence Company put in a 6 foot high wooden fence around our backyard totaling about 410 feet long. They also put in 3 regular gates and 1 driveway gate. It took 2 workers about a week and a half to do the job.

 + -1 moreA crew of workers from Ace Fence Company put up the fencing in two days. Our neighbors didn't participate in paying for it. It's stayed level and hasn't sunk into the ground at all. We're quite pleased with it.
Description of Work: Ace put up a wooden privacy fence around our back yard.
