Description of Work: Jason and the crew are great! Easily scheduled expert service. Worked on a short timeline (I often contacted them just a day or two before I needed the lawn cut), and were always happy to come out and mow. Plus, Jason is a funny guy which just made me like the service more. Don't hesitate to use A Cut Above!

Description of Work: Took four phone calls to get Jason to the house for an estimate on leaf and small branch cleanup. That should have been a red flag. | |Work was done while we were away and looked good when we returned. The problems began when we received an invoice for more than was quoted. A quote from my email to A Cut Above, "Despite our better judgment, we will pay you the invoiced amount of $150.00, which is $24 or approximately 19% more than the high end of your estimate less the appropriate senior discount. That's $140 less $14 (10%) = $126. $126 plus 19% ($24) = $149.94. Per your request on the invoice, we most definitely will leave feedback on Angie's list. And about any additional work for us....based on your reply and your lack of business acumen..forget about it!" | |His reply was basically a bribe not to put out a bad Angie's list review, " I have a money back guarantee and rather than have a bad review over a misunderstanding, let's just call it even and not worry about it." What business wants to lose $150 instead of $24? | |On a subsequent phone call Jason was told that we did not wish to speak with him again, but he kept calling and calling and calling. He then texted, "In almost 20 years in the business, I don't believe I have ever had a customer hang up on me and you have done it four times. " We had told him we didn't wish to speak to him, apparently it never occurred to him that he was harassing us. | |A following message from him was "Mrs. Stephens, I received notification that you had submitted payment via PayPal and that if I don't claim it by 6/28 it will be deposited back into your account. I meant what I said. I am not taking payment on this job so it will go back into your account on the 28th." | |Bottom line, caveat emptor.....and get the quote and discount offered in writing. | | |

Description of Work: He removed large tree limbs that were extended over the top of our home in Sevierville,Tn. He also trimmed back other trees in the yard and cut up all the wood,stacked it and cleaned up all the mess. I would recommend his workmanship to anyone. Everything was handled in a very professional manner. We will be sure to use him in the future!
