I have been in this house for 6 1/2 years and don't know of what repairs, if any, were made before I purchased it. However, due to improper construction techniques used when the house was built, the roof deteriorated over the years to a point where, during a major storm at the end of January, water leaked into the house through the chimney. I received several estimates and chose Vanderpool, not just for the price advantage, but for the common sense way that Brian Seal, the Operations Manager, explained what was damaged and how it would be repaired. Apparently, rain water had been leaking for some time because there was rotting in wood beneath the siding and shingles so the repairs needed were going to be extensive. The crew took two days to do the repairs,arriving early both days, cleaned up after themselves each day, and kept me informed of their progress whenever I had a question. Mark, the foreman, was easy to talk to and made me comfortable and confident I made the right choice. To date, there have been several days when it rained or snowed, and there is no sign of any leaking. I am confident that, when the time comes, I will call Vanderpool back to whatever construction or roofing work that I will need.

I initially called the company on January 16 about a leak that I noticed that day. I was told that a crew would come to check the roof the next day, and that I would be called before they came. It was snowing that afternoon, so I called to reschedule for Monday January 21. I sat at home all day waiting for a call that never came! The work was performed on January 28. I am please with the quality of the work and with the price that I paid. However...I do think that this company has a scheduling problem!

They did a nice job. They were very courteous and did the work in a timely manner. They left the area very clean after they finished the job.

They put us on top of their list, they arrived exactly when they told us , covered our shrubbery with plastic, they worked from 8:am until dusk, they were back the next morning and worked until the job was completed, blew out the flower beds, left our yard in pristine condition, Our roof is fabulous, Vanderpool Roofing was our third estimate and I found them on Angie's list, thank you so much.

The quality was good and I was very pleased with them.

Process went great. Brian came out and gave an estimate that was well in line with others I had. He stayed on the ground with me while has partner went on the roof to check it out. He answered all my questions and thoroughly explained the process. They scheduled the job for about a week out. Materials were delivered and they arrived on-time and completed the job in less than a day.

Called Vanderpool to get them to check out a suspected roof leak around a chimney. They called back promptly but it did take serveral calls to get them to come out. After being put off for about 2 weeks, they did come and check out my leak. They were on time and did a great job convincing me that it was not my roof but my chimney that was leaking. They guys who came were professional and very courteous. Even though I ended up not having a rook leak, I would call them back for work if needed. Charged me 60.00 for service call which was fair for the amount of work they did.

We are very happy with the new roof!!

THANK YOU... ANGIE'S LIST! i would have NEVER found VANDERPOOL ROOFING. The whole process was GREAT! I had emailed for an estimate and they were here the next morning. EVERYONE was great! They took a bad process and turned into a great experience.

I called this firm on a Friday afternoon. They promised to have someone out to do my estimate for a roof replacement the following Monday, and would leave the estimate in my mailbox. Monday it rained so I wasn't surprised when they didn't come out. I called them on Tuesday morning to discuss details of the estimate I wanted. I finally found their estimate in my mailbox 11 days after my initial call, on the day that I signed the contract for a different roofer.

It went as scheduled, and they were very professional.

I really like them. I thought they really did a good job. They were very professional. They came highly recommended. Their price was competitive. I am probably going to use them in the future.

Job went great. They had to wait a week longer to start due to the rain. As a result of the delay, they put a12 man crew on the job and finished in one day. I highly recommend.

It was paid by the association. They finished on time. The cleanup was great. The job was fantastic. It all came in at the price they quoted us. It was a good price for the association to go with them.

They did a very good and excellent job. The reason I chose them was because they are local, they are close by and they were also recommended by someone else.

We have decided we are going to go with someone else.even if they was to call now.We really wanted them to do it.they do good work from what i have seen.But they can even call you back and tell you anything.I quess they want to work when they want to.I would think a company this size would have somebody to do just the quotes.instead he must be on the roofs now.and due to the weather we have been having.i can.t they still don.t call or come by.its not like they dont have our num and address as many times we have called.

Hail storm damaged most homes in my neighborhood. Almost every house within sight has had a new roof. I noticed the crew that did a friends house was in and out in one day. Called and found out Vanderpool had done the work. So much work to do that local roofers were overwhelmed. Took a little while to get estimates. I got three. Vanderpool was competitive and promised me that they could do the roof in a day or two. Agreed to the contract and scheduled the work to be done the last week of September. They ended up coming a week early. Showed up with about 20 guys and went to work. Have a large roof (50 squares on 2 levels). The team worked from 8 am until dark. I kept an eye on them all during the process and was impressed with how efficiently they worked. Completed most of the roof the first day. Sent 1/2 of the crew back for the second day and completely finished the job and cleaned up very well. Only found a few scraps and nails that weren't obvious. After seeing another company putting a roof on near my home put shingles on over wood with no felt I was really glad I had used Vanderpool. 4 months later and after some heavy rain storms I have not found any problems.

VANDERPOOL ROOFING & CONSTRUCTION Vanderpool Roofing & Construction, had 3 people come out to do the estimate, (the other company had one). They thoroughly measured the whole roof (other company was reluctant to do it/ did guess work). Their quote was lower. I have a large house, and they told me they have a large crew and could get it done in 2 or 3 days. (other company has smaller crew, and would take a lot longer). The guy that gave me the estimate seemed very professional. They came out within a day or 2 from when I called them. I have 2 houses and they are doing it also.

They were pretty good. They were good to us. The price was reasonable.

They were pretty knowledgeable and timely. I didn't accept their quote. I found somebody else. They were pretty knowledgeable and helpful. They were pretty backed up because we have had a lot of severe weather around here and it's hard to get roofing contractors out right now. It took them about 2 or 3 weeks to get out here and give me an estimate. They were very friendly and they had a good reputation on Angie's List. That's why I subscribed to it so I could get some reputable roofers. The quote was approximately $6500.00 to $7000.00. I had them check a troubled spot on the roof where when we had some heavy snows, it would back up on the flashing and they seemed to know how to fix it which was very helpful. I had no problem with them whatsoever. They were a little slow getting out here but I can't hold that against them because of the situation. We have had some tornadoes come through here and had extensive hail damage on the roofs. I knew it would take a while to get them out here. I probably left about 15 messages for different contractors and after about 2 or 3 weeks only two responded and they were one of them. We haven't heard anything from any of the others. They didn't come right out, but I understand the circumstances.

The work went just fine. They came when they said they would and the work was up to snuff as far as I can tell. I have no complaints about the price.

Very professional; good quality work; hard-working crew. Additional materials were required, but they stuck to their original estimate (unusual in these times)! Job was completed within their projected time frame.
