I called Vanderpool and talked to the Secretary about getting a leak repaired on my roof. She advised me they were pretty covered up, but would see if they could send someone out on Saturday. I gave them my cell number as I was going to be away from home for a while, but would come directly home if called. He called around 8.30 AM on Saturday and said he was in Kingsport... I told him I was heading home as we speak..... I met him there and he looked at the leaks another roofer could not fix right after he installed a new roof.. He measured and got on the roof and pryed under a dormer where the worst leak was.... He then went up and patched the leaks and left it very neat, and you could not tell he patched anything, except the area of flashing around my chimney where the previous roofer did a crap job of flashing it..... Now, I don't know if it is fixed as of yet, but will finish the review when it rains hard enough for the leaking to occur....

I was extremely pleased with the overall job. They came when they said they would come. They had a crew of about 8 people who worked two long days (12-14 hours) and then three people came back on the third day to finish the job. Our roof is a 12x12 pitch, which is not easy to work on. After the first day, light snow was forecast for the second day. They made sure that all roof openings and exposed areas were covered. So they could not work on that day. They came back the next day (second work day). There were a couple of sections remaining to be done the end of the second day. Even though no precipitation was forecast, they installed a tarp over those sections to be sure there was no damage. They cleaned up the yard each evening, so there was no mess when they were not here. I had one particularly tricky area that needed new flashing. The foreman worked with me to fix it like I wanted. I would definitely recommend them. Workers were very polite and eager to please. They answered my questions as I watched the installation. We have had a couple of heavy rains since they finished and we have had no problems.

They get ACES review from me! Tom (from Vanderpool) came out yesterday to fix a leak that was coming through to the ceiling in my sunroom. He found and photographed the problem and sent a quote the same day, for my home owners association. VERY happy with the quote, I asked to schedule the repair. He was out the next day and fixed the problem. The problem was a broken section of plywood, which he saved for me to show to the HOA.

Excellent work crews. They did both houses the same day. Sent out two complete crews arrived at 8 a.m. and finished both houses by 6 and 7 p.m. that evening. Repaired damaged wood, installed quality new shingles, installed new ridge vent on one residence and did an excellent clean up before leaving. The workers were very responsive to any questions I had and the folks at Vanderpool fulfilled their contract and more. Their office secretary was extremely helpful setting up the initial visit for an estimate and following through on the contract and billing. I am very happy with the results and highly recommend this firm. Their price was a little higher than others quoted but I could tell from day one, these folks knew what the job was all about. Glad a chose them.

We got several estimates for getting a new roof installed on our house and Vanderpool Roofing provided not only the lowest price but also offered the nearest time frame for installation. Vanderpool provided several shingle options to choose from and then gave us addresses of houses in the area that had used the various shingle colors we had narrowed it down to so that we could see what they looked like when installed. When we finally decided on a color, I called Vanderpool to let them know and by the end of the week, a crew was at our house removing the old roof and installing the new one. The entire roof was replaced in just two days and the crew was large and very professional - at one point, a window screen was damaged by debris and they removed the screen, took it back to the shop, repaired it and reinstalled it at no cost. Vanderpool did not require any sort of down payment before work began and when we received the bill, it was for exactly the amount we had been quoted in the estimate.

Went well. On time and completed work as described in bid.

On time, finished main house in one day and came back the next to complete the car port. Professional crew that came to work.

The service was completed in one day. They were on time and made sure to clean up when the job was finished. I would highly recommend them.

The company was punctual and informative, starting with the original estimate through completion of the entire project. My roof is steep (12/12 pitch) and my house is on a hillside, so it was also very important to me that the crew use all the appropriate safety gear. I also have a lot of landscaping around the house and they took great care to avoid damaging any of it. I'm completely satisfied with the project and highly recommend Vanderpool Roofing and Construction.

Andrea at the office was extremely informative, honest and helpful. She had someone drop off a sample shingle book very quickly and offered to find me addresses of homes that had the colors I chose. The employees came and tarped my roof immediately and when another storm hit that evening, they came back the next day and added more tarp as required. When the roofers were scheduled to work on my roof there was a one day window before storms were supposed to start again. They showed up at 8 am and worked until 8p to finish the job. They had twice the number of people working so that they could finish it in one day. I was actually out of state at a funeral when they were scheduled. They kept me informed throughout the day. When I returned I found my roof completely finished, my gutters nailed back to my house, and my yard completely free of any debris. My next door neighbor called to let me know how good it looked. She even hired them to fix a minor repair on her own roof.

They were wonderful. Due to some poor work that was done on my roof years ago, I had a very bad leak that rotted out of the big areas and has collapsed into my kitchen. It was a big mess. They fixed it. They were polite, nice and funny. They cleaned everything up. I couldn't be happier. I would give them a double "A." I certainly would use them in the future.

The company was Very friendly and professional. They even went out of there way to help me by taking pictures upon request of all the damage that was found. Their work went above and beyond and included in the service they painted all the exposing pipe and metal sheathing to match the roof. The crew was very prompt and extremely friendly. They were also very clean with the work and ensured that everything was picked up as they went along. The manners of each worker were impeccable. I have gotten many compliments from my neighbors and several have already contacted the office about estimates for their homes. I would highly recommend this company to everyone and anyone. The old saying goes you get what you pay for, and I am confident that I got well more than I paid for. I am a very satisfied happy customer.

We called Vanderpool regarding a leaky roof. They promptly provided service within 48 hours of our call and apologized for not coming sooner. They were very professional, quickly identified the problem and fixed it within 40 minutes. We have a very steep roofline but it was no problem for Vanderpool. We received the bill in 4 days by mail and felt the price to be very reasonable. We highly recommend this company.

Showed up promptly as promised. Rain forecast for the day was 60%, but they indicated they thought they could get it done. They started immediately, very efficient and proficient at their tasks. Shingles were delivered the day of the removal and re-roofing. They finished the job the same evening and cleaned up the debris to a tee. The office staff was very helpful in getting us examples of their work and colors to examine. This company is extremely helpful in providing information to make the decision easy, and efficient in their execution. I got three bids, all from reputable companies on AL, and this bid was price attractive, but more importantly, they fulfilled my expectations. The reviews from AL were proven to be accurate.

I thought the whole package (customer service, craftsmanship) was outstanding.

This was a great experience from the time we placed the call asking for an estimate until the job was completed. Brian had come out to do our estimate and had the patience of a saint answering my questions as my husband was not available to be there at the time. He explained everything thoroughly regarding the work that would be done and then recommended what he thought would be the best color shingle to match our brick...I immediately didn't think so and questioned another color in his sample book...he again said he thought the other color would match better...but he didn't push...instead he suggested I stop by their office because they have a bigger outside display of the shingles and thought that might help. I met Andrea that day...she works in the office and immediately came out to see if she could help me and then she sent me home with large samples of the two colors in question...not only that, but she also called me and gave me some addresses of other roofs that Vanderpool had done in those two different colors so that we could drive by those houses to decide. It was immediately clear to me that the color choice Brian had suggested was the right one after all. After making the color choice, Andrea put us on the schedule and we were called the following week to see if we were ready for that new roof. Everything went just like Andrea said it would...the crew arrived early and my husband and I greeted them and they wasted no time in getting to work. The crew was not only professional, but seemed to work together very well. They were careful with shrubs or anything close to the house. I had to leave for most of the day and when I returned they were in the process of cleaning up and took great care in doing so. Let me tell you, driving up the street and seeing that new roof was wonderful! It looked great! I spoke with them again before they left and told them how good it looked and how much we appreciated them. I'd like to thank Brian and the crew once again for making what I was dreading turn out to be a good experience...they are all A-1 employees in our book. Thank you, Andrea, for all of your help with doing everything you did to make sure we were comfortable with our shingle and color choice before scheduling us...it was very much appreciated. I also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Vanderpool...such a nice man and after speaking with him for just a few minutes my intuition told me we chose the right company for our new roof! .

After a disastrous so called "repair" done by Tri-State Roofing, my chimney leak had gotten much worse. When it rained, water was actually pouring in after their so called "repair". I called Vanderpool Construction and Roofing. Audrea, on the phone, was very pleasant and professional as she made the appointment. A gentleman came the next day and climbed up on my roof to examine it. He called before he arrived driving a Vanderpool auto. He gave me an estimate and said they may discover more underlying problems when they actually got in to the work. The next day I made an appointment for the repair work to be done after I got estimates from other roofers and decided Vanderpool was my choice. The 2 roofers Tom and Gary were very nice and professional. They were punctual, introduced themselves, and went right to work. They worked approx. 3-4 hours and explained exactly what they did. They even took pictures per my request of the disaster Tri-State had done. When they were through and handed me the bill it was the same as the estimate. They explained that they could not do the spray with water sealer because of the approaching rain that was coming up and would be back to finish. They even cleaned up garbage that Tri-State Roofing had left behind. After the rain I noticed a very small leak. The next day they returned and completed the job. They told me not to hesitate to call if any problems. There has been no further leaking, their work was excellent, and I am very please with the job they did.

Called when I noticed a wet area on the ceiling of an upstairs room. They were able to come out immediately and locate the leak, which was along the ridge vent of my roof, and repair it temporarily until a new roof could be installed.

We called Vanderpool roofing over the weekend when we realized we had a leak around the vent pipe on our roof. I left them a message asking them to call me Monday so we could get details on when they could get to the repair and how much it would be. I was very happy and surprised when they called me very promptly Monday morning at 8:03am. Within 3 minutes we had the repair scheduled and she provided an estimate of what a typical repair of this nature would cost. The gentlemen showed up Tuesday during the day to repair the leak. My wife was home at the time but she didn't have to speak with the gentlemen. He promptly went to work and had the leak addressed within 20 minutes. The following two nights we had hard rains and we haven't noted any additional leaks. The bill for the service arrived within two days. I called the company back and paid the bill over the phone. The office manager read the repairmen's notes to me on what was found and how the repair went. All in all, this was a wonderful experience. I was very happy with the promptness and professionalism. We'll definitely use Vanderpool again in the future.

I called around to several places and no one was able to give me the prompt emergency service I needed to fix a leaking roof. I call Vanderpool and explained the situation. I was told they could fix the leak in the next day or two. They called me back a little later to let me know they could fit it in that day. They worked their schedule to fit with mine.

I called Vanderpool the morning of April 23, 2013 for a quote to replace a roof. The lady on the phone was extremely professional and friendly. I gave the address of the home with permission to measure and calculate costs. Amazingly, the quote was performed that morning and emailed to me that afternoon. The information was listed in detail. The quote was easy to understand. Their price was where it needed to be. (My current roofing company contacted me the same afternoon about the job and learned of the misunderstanding, which is the ONLY reason Vanderpool did not do the work.) I would call upon Vanderpool again.

It went very well. The work began after I went to work and finished shortly after my return. I spoke to several workers who were proud to point out small details I probably would not have noticed, and they were all very polite.

Vanderpool Roofing and Construction did an excellent job. The clean-up was excellent. It was just amazing.
