Floors were good, baseboards, walls and ceiling fans were dusty. Bathrooms were OK, but the bath tubs had a sticky substance on them which the builder said was from the stickers. The builder came out and removed it himself, along with the dust the cleaners neglected to clean. The actual cleaners occupied themselves by talking on the phone, cursing, talking about their boss and how she did nothing but sit in her chair even if it meant they work until 11 at night. They talked about other people within the company as well. They also talked about going to jail, being in jail, how their husbands were in jail, and how they couldn't wait to get off to get high. The builder is great, and I won't bad mouth them except to say they need another cleaning service, which they say they are looking for.

I just found this review today, 10/25/2017. I've done some research on this review. First, I work for [Member Information Removed] builder. I'm still working for [Member Information Removed] builder. My instructions come from them. If there is EVER something missed (which is rare) we always make it right. No "customer" from a new home gives me "instructions or tells my crew what to do". [Member Information Removed] name listed in this review is nowhere to be found in [Member Information Removed] owners that bought [Member Information Removed] houses we cleaned in that area. I went back through my records of [Member Information Removed] houses we done (which I was mostly there on all of them) and there was no [Member Name Removed] found. Payment was not $300. This person is obviously a fake review because there is no way a price would have been know to her. I also went back through my a/p and there was no "individual" I done a job for in JC during that time. My cleaners are thorough. They work hard for sure. There have been only a FEW occasions that we've worked late due to DEADLINES that HAD to be met. Everyone knows that hours may vary due to jobs scheduled. Most of my girls are single, they have no husbands. I do backgrounds so I know all that are on peoples records. I don't feel like a speeding ticket is grounds not to hire someone. And if there is anything on a record, I evaluate [Member Information Removed] person, [Member Information Removed] incident and decide from there. So for this person to be a customer of mine, [Member Information Removed] answer is NO. I have never cleaned for [Member Name Removed] She is not searchable in owners of properties in Washington County, nor is she on social media to be found. And to attack me in my business and to attack me personally, this is probably a former worker that got fired during that time. There was a couple other incidents like this after I terminated workers. [Member Information Removed] proper way to report any misconduct of workers would have been to call me, met with me and discussed this issue. Not to publically display crap like this trying to make an honest, hard-working local business in business for 12 years look bad to [Member Information Removed] public.

I just love the available for customers to make comments on businesses when the entire story is not told and they leave a feedback FOUR (4) months after a cleaning. The customer contacted me and wanted a price quote on a move in cleaning on "short notice". She lived out of town and could not meet me. Informed that she was having new carpet installed and that she wanted the home deep cleaned before they moved in..She told me she would go to bi-weekly after the initial cleaning. She found me online and I explained my process and gave an "estimated starting price" of $350 (this was a phone estimate with not seeing the home at all and based on 3,000 sq foot) with the explanation that my cleaning hourly rate would be the final price depending on the level of cleaning we would have to do and the size of the home. The customer said, "well, with the carpet being new, it should be a very easy cleaning" I agreed with her, and said it depends on the condition of rest of the house, kitchen, baths, baseboards, trims, those take a lot of time in larger homes. The hourly cleaning rate takes into consideration the actual time cleaned because every house is different in the cleaning levels, "normal, heavy, extreme". Upon arrival on the scheduled time, her husband was home. Very nice man. The home was larger than first explained. This was a 3 level home. I just now tried to pull up the sq footage online and it will not let me view the site info. Approximately 3,000 foot on the upstairs level, 3,000 on the main and 800 to 1,000 on the basement level with a huge bathroom. So I walked all over the home. Carpet was installed, had a lot of those fibers on the carpet, so this means vacuuming 2 to 3 times to get all the fibers up. Bathrooms tubs/showers were really dirty. The home on the upper level had a huge bonus room, 3 baths, 3 bedrooms, main level had office, formal living, formal dining, den, huge kitchen, utility, downstairs huge open workout space and big bath. I think this was all of the rooms. This home did not have "average" room size. Huge footprint of the house. We did not have to windows, because they were going to replace all of those. I then went back to the husband and explained that his wife had told me the home was 3,000 and that the home was much larger than that and the price would definitely be higher than the $350 I quoted, That it would take all day to get the job done based on these factors. I said probably double that based upon the final total of cleaning hours and he said that was fine to go ahead and start.. We went right to work. We began at 8:30 a.m. and finished at 7:00 p.m. to finish = 20 total hours. We had a 30 minute lunch and did not stop. I took 2 girls on this job. The girls were detailed and efficient. Cleaning baseboards, doors, door trims, window trims, baths, inside and outside of bathroom vanity drawers and doors, cleaning inside and out of built in furniture in master bedroom, light fixtures, inside and out of about 60 kitchen cabinets and bar area, The house was cleaned excellent. Husband paid, said everything looked great and that his wife would get with me when she moved in that next week and get on the regular schedule. NOW, no word from the wife, she is in the medical profession. I called her mid morning the week after to see if she wanted to set up the regular cleaning. She answered (very rude I might add and I knew in my heart that THIS was definitely the wrong time to be talking to her), I told her my name and that I would only take a minute of her time. Asked if she wanted to get the regular cleaning scheduled. She first told me to hold on a minute, laid the phone down and gave a poor girl an a@@ chewing right about scheduling over the phone where I could hear. Very unprofessional and rude. So she then picked up the phone, said "Who are you again?", I repeated. And asked when she had time to call me back to set up the regular cleaning with the quote form I had left with her husband. She ended the call with this. "You were too high on the deep cleaning, I've made other arrangements for cleaning, AND HUNG UP THE DADBURNED PHONE. Rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. My mouth was literally wide open and my husband came into the room and asked me what was wrong. I said, I honestly do not know. I called to get a customer on the regular scheduled and she just gave me a huge attitude, raised her voice at me and slammed down the phone. I was in shock on how a lady professional would have the attitude and belittle, yelling, etc. at people who make less money than she. How sad. We worked extremely hard on this home. And my overall time was extremely reasonable. I actually reduced my total cleaning hourly rate so that I would be on the mark of what I told the husband it would cost. I at least kept my word on what the overall cost to charge them. My actual cost would have been $900. THANKS ANGIES LIST FOR AT LEAST ALLOWING BUSINESSES TO POST RESPONSES. IVE NOTICED IN THIS BUSINESS, CUSTOMERS WANT TO MAKE "LOWER JOBS LIKE CLEANING, ETC" LOOK AWFUL AND POST EXTREME SITUATIONS TO HURT THEIR BUSINESS. We work EXTREMELY hard. I've even asked a ton of my current customers to post reviews, but if they are not a paid member, their feedback is not shown on my info.

Description of Work: The provider met with me at my convience to look at the job. She indicated her ladies preferred to use specific produces. I bought the products on the list. A cleaning date was set. A contract was signed. I have not herd from nor seen anyone from this company.

If you take pride in preserving the condition of your home, DON?T use this company!! I made the mistake of switching to Skelton Cleaning Service in Sept ?13 in order to save a few bucks versus my previous provider, but it ended up costing more and I deeply regret making a change. In only 4 visits to my home, I ended up with broken or damaged items. Examples: - A very nice, tall vase with professional floral arrangement was broken on the 1st visit. Their crew knocked it over when moving it. The vase must be replaced, but I haven?t found another one like it. - On the 2nd visit, the crew didn?t bring their cleaning supplies. - Prior to the 3rd visit, they wanted to postpone because someone was sick, but due to a packed cleaning schedule, we ended having to postpone for an entire month. - There are numerous scratches on newly painted walls in my dining room, living room and bathrooms that are very substantial and obvious. They must be repainted. These defects are due to rough/careless handling of adjacent furniture and/or letting their equipment or supplies bang into the walls. My home was recently renovated and all walls were freshly painted. It should come as no surprise that customers expect cleaning persons to avoid carelessly adding marks and scratches to pristine walls. - They use a WET mop on hardwood floors rather than a damp one? Nor do they dry the floors when finished. The hardwoods remain wet far too long afterward?. Anyone who knows anything about hardwood floors will advise not to use a wet mop since water seeps into the joints/margins and will eventually warp the wood. I observed one of their crew quickly ringing out her mop once with one hand before putting it on the floor. The mop was dripping wet. My guess is they don?t have hardwood floors of their own and/or their cleaning process that?s driven by speed/efficiency is going a step too far. - Seeing a cleaning person use their bare hand with no gloves to ring out a filthy mop creates a different concern that those germs are spread elsewhere in the home onto anything that?s touched. - The need to run a cleaning operation with efficiency is understandable, but not at the expense of damaging a client?s home or possessions. After a few visits, I am extremely dissatisfied with Skelton's Cleaning Service and have cancelled.

Response to customers' review. A couple of the statements were correct; however, most is incorrect or unproven. I WILL explain in detail. Upon meeting with the potential customer, quote was given, details on how I operate my cleaning business were explained. It is customary for the cleaning supplies to be provided by me upon the first initial cleaning, after that first cleaning the customer provides the supplies so that if they like per say Lysol products better than PineSol products they chose. The customer did not agree with the price I quoted, so he said he would NOT use my company unless we provided the supplies. He said that he only wanted to spend a certain amount on his cleaning and he would spend no more. So I agree to supply the cleaning supplies. I was with my crew for 3 of the 4 times so this is my personal witness to what went on in the 3 cleanings I was present on. The customer stayed in his office upstairs while my crew cleaned and never really came out. The customers home was moderately clean with no visual signs of damages to any walls, etc. The crew I had cleaning the home was fully trained in my cleaning procedures and carried out their job duties as described to the customer. On each visit, I go through the house observing the cleaners, areas of the home, etc. I never saw any damage to any furniture, walls, or any other personal item of the customer. First Visit - It is correct, that on the first visit, one of my cleaners upon mopping the foyer out, knocked over a "normal" looking vase of no significant value, was average looking like a plain square vase. Average looking artificial flowers were in it with clear marble looking rocks. It was top heavy and fell over spilling the rocks out. I immediately went outside to tell the customer (he was walking his dog that morning) and explained what happened. I apologized and said I will replace your vase if you let me know where you purchased it. The customer was not upset, said not to worry about it and that is all I heard about that until the last cleaning was to take place. He cancelled the last cleaning and I will comment on that below. Second visit - I was also with the crew. No problems. Cleaning went well. Customer in his office again, came out to give me his check. Third visit - it is admitted that we did not take cleaning supplies - because I forgot to put them in the cleaning van. Simply, because I do not provide supplies after the first visit. That was not done on purpose, I simply forgot that morning. I did not go with the crew this cleaning. Fourth visit - I was present again with the cleaning crew. Cleaning went well, customer in office again, came out to pay. Then upon the next monthly cleaning was coming up, I receive NOT a telephone call but a long text message on my phone saying how disappointed he was with the cleaning and he was upset because the girls damaged his furniture and walls. Brought up about me never replacing the vase. Sent me pictures on my phone of the alleged damages. I responded to the message (as best I remember saying something like this). I have never seen any damage to your home, nor would the girls hit stuff against the walls or furniture to damage anything. I offered to replace the vase and you said not to worry. I asked you specifically to give me a receipt or replace it and I would reimburse you for the vase. If I had damage as he "said" he did on the walls and furniture, I would have asked the owner of the business to come out and look at the area. Not send text and pictures. No phone call was made, only texts. He said he was cancelling service and I apologized for his "dissatisfaction". He sent me a receipt in the mail over a month from that communication for a vase. I mailed him a check and that was the end of the business. Accidents very rarely happen, it they do, I always make it right with the customers. But I will guarantee you that my cleaning crew will not come in and destroy your home. They are very respectable girls, pay attention to detail and do an awesome job. I have a full schedule and people waiting to get on my schedule, when openings come available. I have always prided myself as a very respectable person, business owner, etc. I will not take second best from cleaning work, etc. I cannot imagine a person trying to degrade a honest, tax paying business, with sentences looking like we are the worst people in the world cleaning houses. Yes, we work hard, really hard, cleaning dirt, soap scum, toilet messes, and some bad stuff to make a living. We are highly respected in our area. And a response to ringing out a mop without gloves????? Excuse this comment, that is why you hired us to clean your home, because you didn't want to . My crew cleaning her home while I was present with them. I do not understand the comment "did not take feedback". The customer operated a cleaning business in NY prior. Moved to this area and "never liked anyone she hired to clean her home". We seemed to have a lot of detail cleaning habits alike. After a couple of times, my crew went to clean on their own. The girls complained that the customer followed them around the whole house, pointing fingers like....don't forget to clean that, re-do this, etc. Very intimidating to the crew. The girls refused to go back to clean the house, so yes I did cancel this service based on the information that was giving to me at the time.

cOverall I was very pleased with their work and all of the above was accomplished within 1 hr. and 10minutes! I on Elaine's schedule biweekly for now and look forward to them coming in like Busy Bees and do what usedto take me a full day to accomplish, when I was younger. I am in my 70's now so it takes me much longer thanthat because I cannot accomplish ALL of the things that they did in just one day!
Description of Work: I had had some medical issue for approximately 4wks. and was unable to do my routine housework. My husband has a badback condition so he was limited in what he could do so for those 4 wks. about all that was being done was fixing our food,with his help getting laundry done and trying to keep things picked up. I was hesitate to even entertain the idea of having a cleaning service because I felt so embarrassed. Elaine and her four girls arrived about 1:45; they were scheduled for 1p.m. but when she saw that the team was a little behindschedule, she called me to tell me that, which I appreciated. I understand problems can occur but a phonecall explaining thedelay makes all the difference. They came in carrying all of their tools, spead out and went immediately to work after a shortgreeting from our Shih Tzu! Each girl knew what she was expected to do and did it effiently. My kitchen cabinets, bathroomcabinets and all wooden furniture was wiped down with Murphy's Oil. My counter tops, backsplash and all kitchen applianceswere wiped down/cleaned. Bathroom fixtures were cleaned, as well as all mirrors. Kitchen floor and bathroom floors werewere swept, then moped. I have wood, tile and carpet floors. Each was gone over by vacuuming or mopping as required,even down to the marble foyer as they exited the front door.

My friend from work said she was using this service and were doing a good job. I called Elaine's business number several times and never heard from her. Then my friend told me she will only respond to text messages. Though I thought this was pretty unusual, but I texted Elaine and she responded. She gave me an estimate and was very pleasant at our first meeting. The first time the crew came to clean they were late...hours and hours late. They were scheduled for approximately 1 pm and arrived after 5 to clean the house. Elaine Skelton called and told me they would be running late and apologized. By the time they got there, I was home from work and had to pick up my son at day care. Even though the crew was rushing to finish, Elaine just sat in my living room and chatted instead of actively cleaning herself. The crew did a really great job that day. The second time, they arrived after 5 as well. Elaine said it was because one of the workers was sick. I again had to fix dinner and take care of an infant while the crew was trying to clean. The third time, when they arrived after 5 AGAIN, I tried to contact Elaine to get switched to morning cleanings. They obviously are overbooked. After several days she still had not returned the phone call. I texted her. She didn't respond. Finally, the two weeks had passed and I sent her a text telling her not to come back until she calls me. At that point she called and we changed to mornings. After that I didn't have problems for quite a while. The crew was getting the house cleaned while I was at work. Then, one week, the work just completely fell off. There were dust bunnies, dusty tables, whole rooms that weren't being cleaned. I left Elaine texts and emails telling her about the problems (including photos). I left a note with the check three sessions in a row. The problems were never addressed or acknowledged by Elaine. My friend who referred Skelton's had the same problems and fired her for the same reasons. My husband and I decided to give her one more shot. This time, I left a note asking for the cleaning crew to skip the guest bedroom. I stayed in there and worked on my laptop and never notified them of my presence. The crew came in and rushed out in 42 minutes flat. They didn't vacuum any of the area rugs upstairs, there was dust, dust bunnies, dirty dishes and unmopped floors. They didn't clean the mudroom at all. I sent her a text msg and asked her to return the key. She said she would the next day. The next day came and went...and she didn't return it. In searching for her address, I found lots of the same complaints online. I called, emailed, and text messaged. She did not respond. Only after I called the sherriff's department did she call me back and return the key.
Description of Work: We hired Skelton's Cleaning Service to clean our house on a bi-weekly basis. We were told four workers would arrive at approximately 1 pm and would clean until the job was completed. They said they would be finished before I came home from work so as not to bother us This was to include blinds, baseboards and all rooms of the house, excluding the basement.

Most of this information is incorrect. Our business hours are 8 am to 5 pm. I do not respond to text messages with brand new customers, I do business the old fashion way, by phone and in person meetings. I never give estimates over the phone, I see the property in person. We do not work after 5 pm. Sometimes we do run behind because of traffic, etc. With the rest of this, I am not even going to respond, that is the most ridiculous responses ever. But I WILL say this, I literally laughed out loud at the comment "that I just sat there and chatted". That is what I do....get to know the customer. I worked the first 4 years every day, every house to build my company. I am the owner and manager and I do go with my teams quite often to check on things. And about the key. I had to get up at 4 am and take my mother to the hospital on emergency status, I did not remember to take the key the day promised. I remember the next day and contacted her explaining the situation and told her I would bring it the next day. I was not worrying about anything buy my sick mother at that time, not a key. I am quite disappointed at how people seem to "make up things" just to make a company sound horrible. I am very honest, hard-working and so are my girls. We take pride in every house we do.
