These guys are as good as it gets. They removed a 85 foot walnut tree close to the house by topping it and removing all limbs before taking down the trunk safely. A smaller tree less than 10 feet from the home was also removed. Additionally, two dying and rotting locust trees were taken down. All was done safely, quickly and yard cleanup was complete and excellent. There were also 7 stumps ground out with all wood shavings swept up and removed. The three largest trees were all over 24 inches in diameter. At my request they ground up all the limbs and cut and stacked the trunks in firewood size lengths.

I got an estimate from them in the spring but was unable to schedule the job due to my own schedule. When I contacted them in the fall the price was still the same--no increase. There had been a big storm just prior to my contacting them in the fall so it took a few weeks to get on their schedule--but that was understandable. They showed up the morning they said they would and got all of the work done, including cleanup, in one day. My house is less than 20 feet from my neighbor and they removed the trees and cleaned up without damaging anything on their property or mine. They even moved an immobilized car that belonged to my neighbor and was in the way of their equipment--and then put it back in place before they left! They also had to take out a tree that was entangled in power lines coming to the house and they did that well. Finally, I wanted the trimming of the secondary trees done in such a way as to preserve a certain amount of shade and they worked with me to do it exactly the way I wanted it. I got three estimates for this job. Another one was very close to this estimate and there was one for $1000 more. When I called the insurance agency that handles their liability coverage the woman I talked to told me that she and all of her neighbors had used McMurray many times and had always been pleased. That sold me on them over the other bids. Great work!

They are always a bit late, but they do a good job. They clean up well. However, I have tried numerous times to get them to come back and do work and they do not respond. So, I will not call them again.

After coming to give an estimate early in the morning, the McMurrays returned in the late afternoon. They climbed and trimmed the standing part of the tree before cutting it down as well. Then they removed the fallen part of the tree and several damaged smaller trees as well. Everything was completed quickly and efficiently.

They were prompt, friendly, the estimate was right on, and they cleaned up really well.This is the second or third time we've used them, every time has been the same. I would use them again.

These are the hardest working men I have every encountered. They cut down very large pine trees, cut up the trees and removed all from our property. We appreciate very much how they took extra time and effort to protect the property as everything had to be transported over a neighbors property. I know it took much longer for them to complete the job, because they had to be so careful of our neighbors property. Everyone who worked on the job was super nice. The owner was very professional in every way. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work put in on this job. I will never use anyone else for any tree service job in the future.

Came, did the work, cleaned up. I was not there when they finished and would have had them cut the stumps in the ground cover closer to the ground instead of even with the top of the ground cover. I'm sure it would have damaged the ground cover so they made a reasonable judgement call.

We had two maple trees to be removed and wanted the stumps ground. One tree was approx. 25 feet tall and had been sheared by a windstorm previously. The other tree was taller, probably 40-50 feet tall and was sound. They climbed each tree, cut off all limbs, and then cut tree down in sections from the top to the ground. They then ground the stumps to below ground level. I got three estimates before starting the work, and their bid was the lowest bid. They were unable to come on the day that we agreed on due to rain on several days in-between the date of the estimate and the agreed date. We agreed on an alternate date, and they actually called a day early and wanted to come that morning, which was fine with us. They removed all debris and cleaned up the yard when they were finished. They also removed all the ground wood chips resulting from the stump grinding, which one of the other estimating companies refused to do. I would definitely use them again.
