My search for a home stager started with the professional organizations, and I settled on Home By Home Staging because of their website. Beautifully done, very informative, and lots of before and after information. I emailed Gwen, the owner and stager, and she returned my email within one business day. Our initial consultation was set up very quickly, she was prompt, professional, and full of wonderful ideas. Her report was well organized, very detailed, and thorough. The full day staging I had to reschedule 2 different times due to unexpected conflicts on MY end. Gwen was very understanding and flexible. She agreed to break the staging up into 2 sessions on different days to accomodate my schedule, and was prompt and very well prepared both days. Gwen also did some shopping for me, and that saved me a lot of time because she knew exactly what she was looking for, and found items for me lots easier than I would have. She kept detailed records and provided me with receipts for her purchases. Two days later I received a photo disc in the mail with beautiful, professional shots of my newly redecorated home, for us to use in our real estate listing. These were included in the staging fee. Gwen is a rare find. A wonderful mixture of creativity and practicality, at a very good price. We haven't listed our home yet, but I know any potential buyer will look at my home differently because Gwen has left us with something beautiful and inviting. I had set aside the money for the full home staging, but if I didn't have it, the initial consultation alone is an UNBELIEVABLE bargain. It was $150, and her recommendations and report were so detailed, I could have pulled a lot of it off on my own. The hands on staging was really letting a professional execute her design, and it has been totally worth it. I cannot stress enough how important it is to get professional advice on what buyers are looking for. UPDATE: Our home sold after only 11 weeks on the market. Every agent that showed our home remarked how beautiful it was and how much every potential buyer liked it. It's a nice house, but Gwen made this happen for us. I am so grateful and pleased with my experience with her.
