At 4 in the afternoon, my elderly mother had water leaking from the back of her refrigerator due to the hose coming disconnected from the ice maker- which hadn't worked in years. By the time I arrived at her house and assessed the situation and realized I couldn't fix it, I tried calling my usual plumber but he had a prior commitment. The pots were filling up pretty fast, so I tried a well known plumber who advertised 24 hour emergency service ( and I also knew from past experience were not the cheapest around) but, alas, they had no one who could come before lunch the next day. I didn't have computer access to check Angie's list so I started going through the yellow pages without much luck until I tried Franklin Plumbing. The lady that answered was friendly and said they would come by soon since they were finishing up a job nearby. In 20 minutes they arrived and quickly stopped the leak by shutting off the water (I hadn't been able to find the shut off valve since it appeared to go under the house) and removing the ice maker connector. Although they didn't have 'spiffy' uniforms or laminated badges, they took care of my emergency when others couldn't help.
