I called Bailey's, told them where the leak in our range was (our propane company had identified this for us) and gave them the serial number for the range. The man on the phone said that he would order the part; I made an appointment for the repair person to come to the house. I stayed home from work, and no one showed up. I called Bailey's. No one answers their phone during the day; the message says to call between certain hours in the late afternoon (like 4-6 or something like that). I was unable to call during those hours, so I left a message. No response. I called again later, during those hours. The man had no record of my initial call or appointment. I make another appointment. (I would have given up at this point, but I couldn't find other area companies that provide warranty service for this range). The repair guy showed up as promised, was very nice and quite competent. He said that he had never received the first order to come to my house. On this visit, he just wrote down the serial number from the stove. Evidently, I had mistaken "a/" for "a1" or some little thing. But all they had to do was call me and tell me that the number I gave was wrong--they didn't need to waste my work hours sending someone just to look at the number! I waited to hear from them that the part came in. Finally, I called them and made an appointment--the part had been there for awhile and they were surprised I hadn't called sooner. Well, duh! If you have a part for a customer, don't you let them know it's there? I made the appointment, took another morning off work, and the same repair guy came back and installed the part. Everything has worked well since. These guys seem to know the job, but they desperately need a receptionist to answer phones and keep track of what's happening with repair orders. They simply do NO follow-up and you have to keep on their cases to get what you want done--that's made harder by the fact that they don't respond to phone messages and don't have anyone answering the phone.
