+ -1 moreWhen I called for an estimate, the man with whom I spoke did not ask for much detail on what I needed to move. On my move date, 2 movers arrived with a truck that was too small to fit the contents on my house. They did not bring enough furniture pads. My household items were crammed into the truck. I don't have a piece of wood furniture that was not chipped or deeply scratched. It took them almost 12 hours. Leather furniture was torn; upholstered furniture got dirty. The movers were nice, but overwhelmed by the amount of items to move. I ended up having to pay several hundred dollars more because they went beyond the time that was quoted to me in the estimate and I had to borrow a truck from a family member to go back and move other items/boxes on my own, as it didn't all fit in the moving truck. Very disappointing. Have not recommended to anyone else.

+ -1 moreI cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about this company. The reservation agent was very helpful and professional on the phone. The fact that she forgot to include PACKING services on my reservation was VERY distressing to me, but Roger and the guys TOTALLY covered for her, by arranging the plan for the move around her oversight. It ended up being a non-issue. I was happily surprised that the company had availability on a Sat/Sun move with such short notice. Our move was a bit complex b/c it included packing and moving our belongings to 2 separate places (some to new house, some to storage.) The guys were extremely professional and experienced. Our belongings that they packed were perfect when we unpacked them. They had a fabulous work ethic, all 4 of them, without exception. The price was $139 per hour for 4 movers plus materials, which might seem a little high, but I got every penny from these men. They worked tirelessly. They were all very personable and quick to clarify if they had any questions about which location something went to. I just couldn't be happier. Moving is always a painful experience, but they made it as close to wonderful as moving EVER gets. The 4 guys we had were Roger, Keith, Bo, and Dan. I will let you know that they all smoke, but it never interfered with their work. They took only 2 smoking breaks each day, and they were SUPER fast, and they all smoked outside, so it really was a non-issue. At the end there wasn't even a single cigarette butt in sight, I kid you not. This is a class organization.
Description of Work: I reserved A M P M Movers on Wednesday, December 1st for a full pack and move (including materials) on Saturday and Sunday December 11th and 12th, with 4 guys. The company called me to confirm our start time on Friday, Dec.10th. The movers were about 15 mins late, but called me 30 mins prior to arrival to let me know that they were having some difficulties. Roger was the guy in charge of the movers for both days, and was an excellent communicator. We handled paperwork 1st thing quickly and smoothly. The reservation agent had not put on my reservation that we would need packing services, so the guys didn't have all the necessary supplies for Saturday (they had a few things they always carry for last minute packing requirements, but not the volume needed for a full pack and move), but Roger arranged our plans for the move so that we did all the packing on Sunday, and they brought plenty of packing materials with them the 2nd day, boxes/wrapping paper/and bubblewrap. The weather was hideous! Cold, windy, and sleeting. They were workaholics! They never stopped. They moved all our furniture Saturday, and packed and moved all our belongings Sunday. At our destination house they had to walk everything about a 100 feet from the truck to the door (there's no where closer to park a truck) IN THE SLEET and they NEVER complained, not once. They dismantled furniture and reassembled it where I asked. They were very cautious with our stuff, not one single item was damaged. They worked for 8 hours Saturday with a 1 hour break for lunch that they actually wanted to work through, but my husband wanted to take. And 9 hours on Sunday with a break for lunch, again because we wanted to take a break. We had to go to Lowe's on the 2nd day, and they beat us back to the house and worked flawlessly, unsupervised, while we were NOT there. At the end they asked repeatedly if there was anything else they could do to finish up for us.

+ -1 moreThe movers arrived exactly at 9 a.m. as arranged. The two young men came into our home, checked all the rooms to see what was needed and began working. They never took a break of any kind until the entire truck was loaded which took 3 1/2 hours. We had 3 bedrooms living room, dining room and 2 offices. They were just amazing. At 1:15 they arrived at our new home still eating the lunches they had picked up on the way. They proceeded to unload the truck and were done at 3:30. Everything was in the place that we indicated and unwrapped and all of the shrink wrap gathered and taken away. They beds were assembled and mattresses in place. My husband and I have moved at least 25 times (military) and this was the best we have ever seen. There was not a scratch on any furniture or a ding in any wall or door. We just can't say enough good things, expecially about Chris Tompson and Kieth Cole who were our movers. If you can ask for them you will get the best. Everything about the move was on time and professional
Description of Work: Picked up furniture only and moved it to the new house. All furniture was shrink wrapped and then covered with blankets and placed on the truck. Each item received the same careful handling. The care was unbelievable.

+ -1 moreThis was the second time that I've used them. They show up on time if not early, they took the best of care with all of my furniture, including a 100 year old china cabinet from my grandmother that is priceless to me! I highly recommend them
