A-1 Good Ol Boys Tree Service

The owner is a slick dude. While he did remove our trees and started grinding the roots, he didn?t finish the job, according to our agreement. He agreed to a day and a half, with the first day to remove the trees with initial grinding and then he would come back to finish the root grinding. After the first day, there was a significant amount of wood chips and sawdust left, as well as more roots under the pile. Initially, we couldn't tell how many roots were still there due to the large mound of wood chips and sawdust. He said he needed payment at time of service but promised to return for the remaining grinding the next morning. A month shy of a year later and he still hasn't fulfilled his agreement, even after numerous assurances. All kinds of excuses including blaming neighbors for not letting him on their property the day the crew took down the tree. We finally got him to agree to remove a small holly in lieu of grinding the roots and we would get someone else to grind the roots. That way he only had to drive up our driveway and would have no one else to blame. We have given him more than enough chances and have informed him of our intentions to post our experience on Angie's List. Don't fall for his fast talk and talk about taking his crew to church.

In the contract they are supposed to pick up all of the limbs and clean up the area, including the stumps. I would not really hire them anymore. I saw them working with a friend of mine and I asked them when they would come out and clean my garden where my stumps were. They said they would be there at 5 that day and they never came. I called them and they said they would come again and they never did.

We came to know about them through word of mouth. They did a good job. We are pleased with them.
