RW Home Improvements served as a contractor for a local roofing materials company who contacted him and gave him my name and number to give me an estimate for installation of a metal roof on my house. The price was good and Ricky Whaley of RW Home Improvements was available to start very soon. He returned to my home while I was at work and proceeded with the job. He did not even wait for me to come home to view the work. When I got home, I was appalled at the mess he and his crew made of my roof. He patched a front portion of it without my permission. I was expecting full strips of metal from roof ridge to the edge of the overhang on the front porch. He installed short pieces across the full length of the house and then patched the overhang. I have yet to see another house or business with patched metal. He refused to correct the work at his own expense. He offered ridiculous options, for instance, he would redo the job on the front and reuse the metal that would be removed from the house and place it on the front side of my garage which does not even need a new roof. In the beginning it was the cosmetic look of the roof; however, it was soon discovered by other professionals that no under lay material was included, no furring strips installed and they did not remove two layers of shingles before installing the roof which I am told is pretty much standard practice. There are dents all over the roof. Short ends that don't reach the gutters and other pieces that are too long and cover the gutters. One corner is raised up where the screws did not even go into the roof, just barely into the shingles. The 40 year warranty does not exist because of the absence of the underlay material. I have a new estimate for the removal and re-installation of another roof. It will cost me more this time around to correct this ungodly mess on my roof. In the meantime I pray that the winter weather does not cause more damage before I can remedy this mess.

Not too well. I assumed that he had did a good job on the water on the roof. The peak of the roof is not attached down at the end. Not sure about the middle, but from the ground it appears that it is loose at the ends. The shingles underneath may have been attached and are doing the job. The drain leak that he fixed is in my wash room downstairs. He had to cut a 2ft hole in the ceiling in order to get to the PBC pipe, but he left the hole there. They did a good job on the pipe, but I got a 2ft hole in my ceiling. It's been about 2 months and have not heard anything. I have called numerous times, but still no response.
