Other than showing up a day early, they did a great job. Only found 2 nails after cleanup

They were good. They were prompt. Everything was good, there wasn't any problems with them at all. We didn't go with them because their pricing was a little high.

We tossed them quick !

We called for a quote and they came out the next day and gave us an estimate. We called them back two days later and asked them to come and do the gutter replacement for us. They returned our call the next day and asked if they could come the following morning to replace the gutters. Two men arrived at the time they had scheduled. They completed the job in about two hours, cleaned up the decks and yard where debris had fallen from the old guttering, and gave us the bill for the amount they had quoted. They were pleasant and friendly and we are very pleased with the appearance of the new gutters. They also said to watch for leaks at the corners and if we saw any leaking to call immediately and they would come and reseal if needed. This same company replaced our roof last year and we were very happy with that experience as well.

Called Whitaker Roofing and Home Repair on a Friday for an estimate on a new roof due to storm damage and was pleased that they made the appointment for the next day at 11 AM. I waited all day and they didn't show. I left voice mail to inquire about setting up another appointment, again with no response.

They were very good. They did a very good job.

Thankfully, they never followed through giving me an estimate on a simple roofing job (no high pitchs, just a rambler). I am SO glad I found someone else. I have shared my story with many around Erwin and Unicoi and have heard nightmares about Leaks, unfinished jobs, sloppy work, and UNPROFESSIONALISM. These guys give "country folk" a bad name. They are not honest, prices are too high, etc. The father who owned (still owns?) the company I hear was great! But his two sons... well... find someone else to do any roofing, guttering or remodeling you have in mind. Don't fall victim to these guys who do shoddy work at best.

I appreciated their responsiveness and willingness to make things right. However I think these people are in too much of a hurry and are not doing careful work. I would not say that I'm completely dissatisfied with the result, but I'm not completely satisfied either. I would have appreciated it if we had been told BEFORE we did it that putting new shingles over old was a bad idea. We were told afterward that it was bad and that the job couldn't be as good as if we had taken off the old shingles. The price difference was very little. If I had understood that I would be getting a sub-standard result I would not have agreed to it.

The new gutters have not been tested by a rain storm, therefore the quality and effectiveness is unknown. Price competitiveness is unknown since we did not shop this job. Given the high number of roofing replacements in this area, Whitaker responded in a timely manner. With reservations, we would use this contractor again.
