Ed is a great arborist! He taught me more about trees in a short time than an entire book or internet search! He helped my very large tree at an extremely reasonable price! He will be back later this year for a much needed teim. I will recommend him to everyone I know!

This company offers expert work at a reasonable price. They removed two large, old maples from my front yard. They were forced to work from a moderately busy road, but managed traffic handily while performing an excellent job. Their cleanup was fantastic leaving the area clear of all debris and residue. Highly recommend them!

We needed our large, beautiful oak tree pruned. First, to remove branches overhanging our roof, and second, to make sure the tree was healthy. Joseph Sheffey of Rowan Tree Care came to the house, made a thorough assessment of the tree, gave us some wonderful recommendations. The price he quoted was well in line with other tree companies, who had subsequently not shown up for the work as it was too hard for their level of expertise. I was contacted the day before they were available for work. Then the next day, the climber and support crew were here by 8am, went immediately to work, and completed the pruning and some of the clean up that day. The next day, they again showed up promptly and had the mess cleaned up by noon. They replaced all the deck furniture they had moved the day before and the place looked wonderful. The tree is amazing, looks great and healthy!

In November 2023 we hired Rowan Tree Care to remove 6 white pines. Two of the trees were extremely tall and leaning dangerously close to our detached garage and our home. Access through our neighbors yard was required to perform the job. Ed’s team was prompt and courteous, they arrived when they said they would and completed the work within the specified timeframe. We were pleased with the care they took on our property and also our neighbor’s. They were very safety conscious and knew what they were doing, this was important because they used a climber to tackle the worst trees that the bucket truck could not reach. We highly recommend Rowan Tree Care and will certainly use them again. They were reasonably priced, arrived on time, and got to us quickly since we were in a dangerous situation.

Wonderful experience from start to finish with Rowan Tree Care. Very willing to answer all the questions we had. They showed up on time for the consultation and also the tree removal. Job was completed when they said it would be and the job was completed to our satisfaction. Great team to work with.

I had stumps ground up. Rowan texted that Kevin was on his way and Kevin called, he was on time. He explained what he was going to do, gave me time to set up and performed the trunk grinding. He was kind, professional and knew how to perform the job.

Being a veteran myself, I try to find and utilize veteran owned businesses. So when the 13 Bradford Pear tress lining my driveway needed pruning and shaping, I found Rowan Tree Care online as a Vet owned business and gave them a call. Ed answered and took my information and scheduled an estimate for the next morning. Upon arriving, Ed was professional and friendly. He took time to listen to what i wanted done and then explained how his crew would perform the pruning, etc… After agreeing to the estimate, he then scheduled the service for the following week. His crew showed up at 9a.m. On Monday as stated and immediately got to work. Everything was competed to our agreement and our trees look great! Thanks Ed for a great job!

I had a couple of trees (20ft Bradford Pear and a 25ft Yellow Maple) located at the side of the house that needed to be removed. Derek from Rowan came and gave an estimate - a very fair price. Derek is very knowledgeable and professional about the tree business. The trees were not in an easily accessible place. The Maple tree was in the power, phone and cable lines. The Pear tree was away from the lines. The team was able to remove the Maple tree without calling BrightRidge to bring down the line. That was due to the knowledge, professionalism and expertise of the team. They took their time with patience and care to ensure the line were kept intact. They ground up the trees. After the removal, the team cleaned up the yard site of limbs and debris. They went well beyond what was required to ensure a great experience on getting these trees removed. They are very professional and friendly. I was able to meet Bo the owner and veteran. I HIGHLY recommend Rowan Tree Care. I know you can depend on Rowan Tree Care. I will use Rowan again in the Spring to trim 3 large trees.

I am another customer impressed by this safety-conscience, attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable crew. Fully insured and cost effective too. They went the ‘extra mile’ without prodding. We, and our trees, were well cared for. Toward the end of their first day on our job, Ed received an ‘emergency’ call . . . a limb was down and holiday activities were eminent. Ed came back with enough crew to handle the emergency and continue with our job. I saw the dump truck full of ‘emergency-limb”. Yes, I’d do it again and hereby recommend Rowan Tree Care to anyone looking for precision tree removal and/or care. Lynn D.

Very disappointed! Too much was trimmed off one tree and clean up was NOT as expected. Twice I asked the crew to finish cleaning up the area, still lots of debris left. And then as they were leaving they went off my driveway leaving ruts in the yard, broke a fence around my roses and drove over my daylilies! When I reported this to the owner he said he would come up with a plan to fix things- still waiting 2 weeks later. Will not response to my messages. Would not recommend!

Awesome. They were able to adapt to a change in my work schedule and still get the job done in half a day. They got the trees on the ground and I am doing the clean up. I dealt mainly with Joe but met Ed towards the end of the day. I would highly recommend letting them quote a job, you will not be disappointed. Thank you guys!!!!

These guys did an outstanding job. Trimmed, cut and cleaned up many trees. Very professional. Excellent price. Definitely recommend and will use them again soon.

The team from Rowan was prompt, professional, safe and they know how to handle this very difficult job. In addition, knowing that Rowan Tree Care carried Liability Insurance was reassuring and provided confidence in their ability to get the job done safely.

I spoke with Mr. Sheffy several days ago. He emailed an insurance certificate, and said his partner would contact me soon. Never heard from either. I understand they are busy, but it's only considerate and professional to let the potential customer know.

Ed was very responsive and had great communication. Phones calls and emails were always replied to. Ed and his team did a great job removing a tree in our front yard and their clean up was great. Not one leaf left behind.

Ed was very polite, respectful, as you'd expect from a young man with a long military background. Rowan Tree Service was also somewhat local to Wilkes-Barre. (I believe they are in Clarks Summit, PA.) The quoted price was accurate and reasonable, and he did his work promptly. Beyond removing elements of the tree that were both a fire hazard and a falling hazard, Ed's worked allowed the tree to remain an asset to my yard. This was important to my wife and I so we discussed options with Ed and he did a great job. Even my next door neighbor who closely borders my property actually complimented his work for that very reason. Clean-up was great and the whole process was affordable. I am new to Angie's list so I'm not sure how much more detail is expected in a review but I would highly recommend Rowan Tree Care to anyone looking for tree service in Northeast PA.
