Buyer Beware! Joe Callahan of Reliable Paving Services was contracted to pave our driveway from 09/19 - 09/21/2018. The gravel driveway of some years had been previously graded to allow water to drain properly into two installed drains. In the process of Joe placing a base aggregate down prior to the asphalt installation, his crew over compacted an area that resulted in a low area as pointed out to him by his crew chief. Joe indicated the asphalt would correct. After the asphalt was placed and compacted, concerns were raised again about the potential for poor drainage from this area. Joe asked me to wait for the first rain to decide. No water test was performed by Joe. He promised repeatedly that he would return within the week if needed. His crew also installed the curbing in a crooked fashion and he also proposed to return within the week to correct regardless of the drainage issue. The first rain revealed a drainage issue with significant water pooling which a water test I performed confirmed. Daily phone calls and texts over the next month and repeatedly since then has not resulted in him returning to correct these two issues. Not reliable!
