MAIDS EXTRAORDINAIRE

I have an interesting situation. If you've noticed my account, I have two different locations; there's another location that I listed, it's where my father lives, which is over in the middle Tennessee area. The hardest part is convincing him to let me get him services that he needs, like cleaning services and so forth. I use Maids Extraordinaire and I've been very happy with them. We use them every two weeks. They would be an A in every category. They're punctual and trustworthy and they do very good work. They have two people and they spend four hours.

The gentleman who came out to give us the quote was professional, however we were extremely disappointed with the service of the 2 cleaners who came out. In additional to being 30 min later than the projected time with no phone call to let us know, they proceeded to sit out in their car smoking for another 15 min. My husband saw them pull up on our camera system and was waiting on them to go to work. When they came in they saw the check was written for exactly the amount that was quoted (this was our first time using a cleaning service and we didn't know about the expectation to tip) and immediately told him to make sure to leave a good tip each time and we would be "taken care of". Jokingly one of them said if we didn't tip they would go through our stuff. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and let them clean that day and they were in and out in 1.5 hours - we have a 2500 square foot house. We came home and could tell none of the bathrooms had been cleaning, the kitchen counter still had food spots on it. The only thing we could tell they did was vaccuum the carpet because of the marks. I called the company the next day and cancelled the services and let the secretary know what happened. She said she would inform the bosses and let them deal with the cleaners. I honestly expected after that bad of service that one of the owners would call and personally apologize and offer to do it again for free, but I haven't received a call since. I would never recommend this company.

The cleaning service was adequate, no problems there. Accidents do happen, and a figurine was broken. The maid was insured, and she immediately filled out the insurance paper work. The office on the other hand was pretty non responsive. I have no idea how long it will take to replace the item (only a month old, as part of a fairly expensive redecorating project). Jennifer, the owner, is "taking care of it", and has not responded to my request to speak with her about the replacement.

Used for the last 10 years with deteriorating quality. The convenience has been the primary driving factor as my schedule doesn't always allow me to be here. Experienced a recent incident with missing items during the day of a cleaning which resulted in a police report taken. One former employee recently arrested for theft over $1000 and identified in the newspaper as an employee of a local cleaning service. The theft was from a client home. The news item did not indicate for which service the woman was currently working, but the ME business owner confirmed that this woman had worked for them for a period in the past. Started out well, the price was competitive, and it hasn't moved much; however, it does not make up for the quality issues and the recent situation where I've had items go missing that resulted in a $220 out of pocket loss for me.

Two people came and brought their own supplies unless you requested a specific brand. Once they finished the work, they have you walk through the home to ensure the work is satisfactory. They were great and I had no problems with the service.

Stayed with them for about 6 months, service keep deterioriating.

I had a bottle of Angel perfume which cost almost a hundred dollars. I know it was there that morning that they came. I worked at that time. I had let them in and gone to work. the next morning the perfume was gone. no one else had been in my home. I live by myself. No one else had access to my condo. I also noticed that they had not cleaned my place very well at all. When I had come in that evening. I called the manage that they hadn't cleaned my place that evening That was before I even noticed that the perfume was gone. I told him that all they had done was cleaned the inside of the toilet. She sent three different people to clean it. They were complaining that the other two people had done absolutely nothing. While they were here I told the manager what the others had said. The morning called and told the manager about the missing perfume. She said she would question the two girls that had cleaned it and get back with me. She told me that both of them denied taking the perfume. One of them had cleaned my place for a couple of years and the other didn't wear perfume. I asked if I could be reimbursed. I asked for my $90 back. She said not unless I had it recorded. I would not recommend using them to anyone.

They did very good work. They were hard workers and the finished work was spectacular. They did the job very fast and they are very trustworthy. I would highly recommend them.

It was a really bad experience! They cleaned the oven, even though they were told not to do so. They used a chemical cleaner, which ruined the self-cleaning finish on the oven. They broke the Moen kitchen faucet hose, and I had to purchase a new one. My cleaning person, for the same place, charges me only $50! The old owner never had cleaning people, and didn't know the cost. They took advantage of her, and charged her $185. Although this happened several years ago, neither the old owner or myself would ever want to use Maids Extraordinare! We have told people about our experience.
