Description of Work: Cleans the house (floors, furniture, kitchen, bathrooms, etc) on a bi-weekly basis for the last year. Jeanne has been great to work with and flexible with her schedule if something comes up. She is always thorough in her cleaning and good with detail work as well.

Would highly recommend her to provide property management services. Again, professional and you can trust her with your home!
Description of Work: Jeanne not only provided us with an excellent housecleaning service but we also used her as a property manager and would highly recommend her in that position as well. She was asked to check on our home weekly; make sure trash was out weekly and mail in. She also answered alarm calls and met with workmen. I would highly recommend her as a property manager for those that travel frequently or leave their home for an extended period of time. Trustworthy and professional.

Jeanne has been cleaning my home for over a year. She is expensive but worth every dollar! I have never had my house this clean. She is a person to be trusted and goes over and above. She is excellent at what she does and very personable as well. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend her!

Jean used her own equipment and supplies. Whatever she was using, you didn't get that "Fresh Clean" smell when she was done. She worked fast but could only do half the house in 1 visit, due to her "thorough" cleaning. The rate of $120 I thought was extremely high since she demands that she be paid under the table so she doesn't have to pay taxes on any of her income. We used her for a short time as she was reliable but we then found someone else. Now the house smells fresh after each cleaning, not overbearing chemical smells, but a fresh clean scent.
Description of Work: Provided full house cleaning, half a house per visit once a week, for 4 hours per visit - cost of $120 - approx. 1600 SF

I have learned through the years that some people are very happy with my honesty, thoroughness and dependability and are ok with my hourly pay average. And that some people are not. I respect my people's privacy, but when I get a negative review, I will clarify a few personal details in my defense. I pay taxes on my earned income quarterly. Why member thinks I don't is questionable, because I remember a check not having a signature on it and having to wait to be paid again a week later. I get paid by check with all my jobs, by the way. I use bleach and vinegar as a rule which a lot of people like. Member never mentioned they were unhappy with no "fresh clean" scent. Members house was under renovation construction for the months I was with them, with plastic up in doorways to separate living area. Every single time I had construction debris of a film of white powder dust on every inch of every ledge, floors, etc. that I had to clean over and over again which is why I would do separate areas on different weeks. I always did bath, kitchen, office/living area. Since it's been over a year and a half ago, I'm not positive, but I only remember skipping master bdrm/sunroom a couple of times when detailing large office/living area. I do remember them cancelling and rescheduling so much to the point it was a mutual parting of the ways at the end of the job..

I AM SINGLE HOME OWNER WITH NO PETS AND NO CHILDREN AND HAVE SIMPLE NEEDS FOR 3500 SQ. FEET 4 YEAR OLD HOME. I AM A MATURE PROFESSIONAL WOMAN AND HANDLE THINGS ACCORDINGLY. SHE WAS EXTREMELY PRICEY AND ( I BELIEVE, BECAUSE OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD I LIVE IN, SHE DECIDED TO PRICE ACCORDINGLY) SHE WOULD NOT CLEAN UNLESS I HAD A THOROUGH CLEANING FIRST AT AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE AND THEN THE BI-WEEKLY WAS EXTREMELY PRICEY ALSO. AGAIN, THIS IS A NEW HOME WITH ONLY ME AND HOME HAS BEEN CLEANED REGULARY UNTIL JUST RECENTLY WHEN MY CLEANING LADY HAD TO MOVE OUT OF THE AREA. TO JUSTIFY HER DEMAND SHE TOLD ME HOW UNCLEAN MY HOME WAS IN A VERY RUDE MANNER. IN ALL MY 30+ YEARS OF HAVING HOUSEHOLD HELP I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERD THIS SORT OF SITUATION. I HIRED ONE OF YOUR OTHER LISTINGS AND THEY HAD EVERYTHING IN SHAPE IN 4HRS. AND WILL BE CLEANING ON A REGULAR BASIS.

The quote had nothing to do with the neighborhood, it was totally to do with the extreme amount of cleaning needed to make the home immaculate (which is how I clean). 1st bid date was Oct 18-My Friday lady switched days last minute, so I asked [member name removed] if I could postpone until 23rd so I didn't have to drive 50 miles round trip for just a bid, and she said she had no problem with that. Our original agreement for first visit on the 28th, was to detail the kitchen. Upon closer inspection, I felt my time slot would only allow cleaning of the microwave, interior frig, and stovetop; I felt she would not be happy with that, and I left the job and called her to reschedule. Detailed cleaning takes a lot of time, and I hit every inch of everything, as ALL of my other A rated reviews state. I also am a professional woman with my own business to run. I told her I have been doing this for many years and know what works for me, which in her case would be for myself and my crew to come in, detail whole home(Approximately 30-35 hours total for $1300.00) and then I could maintain 2x monthly. I apologized for reschedule mix up, and told her in an email that I know I get top dollar for my services (posted in email below). Some clients are not ok with that, or it's not in their budget, which I understand. If that sounds arrogant, that is her opinion. Sent email Oct 28th to Angie's List member: First, I apologize for thinking I could reschedule without checking your schedule 1st, as I said, I thought you work full time and it would not be an issue. Second, I do know that I get top dollar for my cleaning services, and sometimes it does not work out with new clients. I have been doing this for many years, and my normal way of starting someone new is to give them quote to detail whole house with or without crew and then bi-weekly amount to maintain. I also know that you said your medical expenses are a priority for you, which I totally understand. My people every other Thurs afternoon, that are moving out of state, is the slot I was going to give you. They actually gave my name to the new owners, and they now want me to take over for them so that opening is not available as I am going to stick w/ my existing house, just new people! You said today on phone for me to come this next Monday but I only have every other Monday afternoon open, and I truly need to keep at least one afternoon open, for any personal appointments I need to make. At this time, I will not be able to help you with routine cleaning, but if you want us to do detailed cleaning, please call and we’ll go from there. It would have to be on a weekend day, 4 women the full day, approx 32 hours total for a cost of $1300. I supply all equipment, cleaning supplies, it would include up and downstairs: dust, vacuum, mop, baths, kitchen, blinds, ceiling fans, edges, ledges, faces of cabinets, etc. No interior windows or interior cabinets included. Jeanne and her crew arrived on time, early in the morning, and spent several hours with us. She did as described above. To engage her, I first left a message on her phone -- she was out of town but called me the day she returned, came to visit and give an estimate within two days, and did the work within a week of the first call. Totally professional and reliable.
Description of Work: Jeanne and her great crew cleaned the new house we bought, top to bottom. She did all of the woodwork, cleaned between screens and window glass, did the interior of windows, cleaned the inside of every cabinet and storage area in the place, even got into all of the cracks around the two stoves. Unbelievable job. Pricey but definitely worth it. Made it comfortable and reassuring to move our things into the house, knowing that everything was spotless.

They arrived on time and worked quickly, taking only a 15 minute lunch break. They worked from about 9 to 3 and did a thorough job on the house, paying attention to detailed such as the tops of fans and dusting the chair rail. We had them do one cleaning to get our house spotless before listing it for sale and they definitely did the job.
Description of Work: Jeanne and another worker performed interior cleaning of our entire house, which is 4 bedrooms and 1800 square feet.

Jeanie is very professional. Her team did a fantastic job on our house. We bought a house and closed fast and we needed it cleaned thoroughly for move in. Jeanine accepted the job after visiting the house and giving us a price when we moved in, the place really felt clean and as if we were the first ones to live there. This is a 30 year old house that has had renters in it and it is beauliful. I think the price she charged was high but I just knew she would do a great job...and she did. I would recommend Jeanie if you really want a thorough cleaning.

I had friends who recommended this service, but I put off calling for months. When I finally did, I was thrilled. I had hired companies in the past who had questionable employees. With Hartzell's I can leave my house key and feel 100% assured everything will be great when I return. During the first weeks, I asked for detailed cleaning, because my house really needed some work. Later, we've switched to every other week for a general cleaning. The business owner is an intelligent lady who can help you think through your needs--and work in a flexible manner to provide special cleaning, monthly cleaning, twice-monthly cleaning or whatever you need.
