HEB HEATING AND COOLING INC

I was very unhappy with them. The technician replaced a few "fried" parts on one of the a/c units. The second air conditioner required another compressor. He said he would order the parts, but after three weeks, I was still waiting for him to come back. In the meantime, I hired another company. They came out to look at the a/c units and found that the tech from HEB had done the work all wrong. They had to redo the work. They also ordered and received a compressor within three days. HEB charged me twice for coming out, even though they didn't finish the work. I am in a dispute with them now over the money they charged me. They were so dishonest and I was very unhappy with them.

When we initially had them we were very satisfied but I understand someone may have retired and the sons may have taken over. Recently we haven't been happy with them so when we replaced our heat pump this summer we went with someone else. When we were looking for quotes they didn't even return our calls. They are not as reliable as they used to be, they don't answer phone calls or see interested in doing work. Initially the price was very good, but that was 15 years ago. I wasn't satisfied with the last service call, he didn't seem to know what he was doing and said he would do things that he never did or followed up on.

They have tried to work out this problem that they don?t know about exactly. They will be coming out shortly and will start work on it again. I can?t complain about them. Although, I wish they get the problem straightened out. I think they are trying. I have not paid them yet. I haven?t got the bill yet. However, it has never been outrageous. They have been very fair in the past. In case they don?t fix the problem soon, I will call somebody else.

I was real impressed with them. This was his first visit. They were honest their expertise on the knowledge of propane gas furnaces really impressed me. The people that handled my heating and air conditioning needs came and said that the heat exchanger was cracked and needed to be replaced. He thought that probably the whole thing needed to be replaced. His boss came out and said the entire unit needed to be replaced. Then I got a second opinion and all this guy wanted to do was sell me a new unit. He didn t even look at the furnace to see how many btu s it was. The third guy that came wanted to grab everything in the house and said that it was all bad and dangerous. The fourth guy that came out, which is the company that I went with, said that it was just a simple adjustment on the damper. He went through the entire furnace and looked at the thermostat. He opened the damper more and the furnace is working beautifully.
