I was satisfied with my consultation/inspection of my old chimney. I did not purchase a wood stove or chimney liner this year, only because I just purchased this old cabin and I am still trying to decide whether I will be able to renovate it, or if it will need to be completely torn down and rebuilt. The store does push it's own brand of wood stove; however, from all the research I have done, it appears to be a quality line. Additionally, I contacted a friend after my inspection to go over the prices quoted by Dan's for the chimney liner and wood stove. I wanted another professional's opinion...my friend was the owner of a wood stove store for many years. This friend advised that prices quoted by Dan's for the liner, wood stove and labor were very reasonable, given the quality of products. Again, I did not actually have a wood stove installed - I only paid for an inspection. But, I was satisfied with my inspection and the products offered by the store. My plan is to use Dan's when I make the decision on where and when to have a wood stove installed.

Besides for a minor mix-up about the time that was originally agreed upon, the job went great. They immediately got on the roof to take pictures, using an iPad, of my chimney which we then discussed in the kitchen. They provided graphic descriptions of the work they recommended as well as prices. They worked quickly and were courteous. They had some additional suggestions after looking further at my chimney which I agreed to. They were very helpful.

Very well. Two gentleman who worked on it were very helpful and gave me a lot of free information on the good safe operation of my wood stove. Also they replaced a catalyst in the stove which was not planned for. I have used Dan's several times in the past to clean the chimney and was always well satisfied with their courtesy and results,

Hired them to clean 2 chimneys and cap. Turned out that chimneys were already capped. They were very punctual, courteous, clean, and honest. They did not have to reveal that the chimneys were already capped. Additionally, they reported on the condition of my flashing. I appreciate a service where I do not feel robbed.

Raccoons in my chimney prompted my need for a chimney cap. As soon as they were gone I called and Dan and his helper were out to my house the next morning. In 30 minutes time he inspected my chimney and installed a chimney cap. He also made recommendations as to some repairs that I should think about, but no pressure at all!!

Mr. Perry and his helper arrived right on time as scheduled and did an excellent job cleaning my chimney. They thoroughly cleaned up the area after the work was completed. They also installed a chimney cap. Mr. Perry was knowledgeable and honest. The cost of the work was very reasonable. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing chimney work.

The gentleman showed up early and completed the inspection prior to my arrival. I called and spoke with Dan as he explained to me the findings which was provided on the report. Dan was very professional and knowledgable. I really appreciate him taking to the time to come out and inspect the chimney.

Dan and his help were delayed at an earlier appt. They called over an hour in advance to indicate their delay and estimated arrival time. They were punctual to their new estimate. They were very clean. The cost included transportation time (about 45-minutes each way). We have not had any smoke odors since they cleaned the chimney and flue, even on very windy and rainy days. I highly recommend this company.

The service was prompt and professional. They had to rearrange my living room to do the work, but everything was returned to its place, and they also removed the old insert from the property. They communicated effectively about what I wanted done and finished when they said they would.

Once again, they were on time and performed the work as promised. If I have further need for work in this area, I would not hesitate to use this company.

Did the job, no problems, no mess.

He really did nothing. Looked up the chimney with a flashlight, opened and closed the flu, shp vacumed the mess that fell out from that and then ONLY becaouse i ASKED him to he went out and LOOKED at the chimney outside but he never wenton the roof or looked at the bricks pr checked the cap or put anything down or all the way up it....not really ssure what he did.....but he was a very nice man!

I found out that he is not a certified chimney sweeper. He cleaned my chimney and checked my wood stove. I used him because he had great reviews. Soon after This was done I had a fire in my new wood stove.

It was great. They’re very professional. The work turned out great. They were very informative.

It went great, work was fast, and the ordered parts were quickly ordered. I will use them next year for the yearly inspection.

Dan inspected the three chimneys and fireplaces in a home in Eidson, TN we are buying. He let us know their condition, what would be needed in order to bring them up to a usable state as well as giving us a complete written estimate for all needed repairs and installation of fireplace inserts by Pacific Energy. I'll also note that he found evidence of previous chimney fires (house was built in 1908!) as well as damage to the inside of the two primary chimneys in the dwelling. He was prompt for the appointment coming out on a Saturday, quick and thorough on the inspection and very timely on returning via "snail mail" the written inspection report and quote for repairs and equipment. Still shopping on the inserts but leaning heavily toward having Dan's do the work! (Pacific Energy is a very highly rated product!) He also provided contact info for other customers! His fee for the inspection was very reasonable, considering the distance out into the 'country' he had to travel to our farm. Would recommend him highly for at least the inspection/quotation processes! As mentioned, leaning toward Dan's for the work. We'll update this eval if we go with his company.

That service went well. He came out and did what he said he was going to do. The owner and his helper came out and took them about 3 hours. They let me know that I needed a chimney topper and that took about a month to receive.

purchased a special on Angie's list 9/11/13 $28 for Chimney Safety Inspection and Water Resistance Evaluation.... scheduled service in mid october - and told them we had a wood furnace that we wanted the chimney cleaned out as it hadnt been used in a few years... the gentleman came out to the house and saw that it was a wood burning furnace stove chimney we wanted cleaned out - took one look at it and said "I am not touching that" and left... That was it :(

Came immediately due to my tight, schedule. Fixed serious heat leak.

Dan's Chimney Service responded promptly, arrived on time, worked quietly and professionally. Some suggestions were made for things that might need attention in the future. The work was done without fanfare. The price reasonable for the area ($25 for inspection, $90 for cleaning). We had purchased the $25 special value certificate for the inspection. I would certainly recommend Dan's Chimney without reservation.

They came out late September early October and the service turned out very well. They're very thorough, positive, timely and everything you would hope for a service. I would recommend them highly.

Dan is professional, courteous, and punctual. He provided details of what he would be doing, what needed to be done, and the costs. He honored the coupon from Angie's List. He never pushed his products or services, but offered what he could do in the future if we decided to add new equipment. I would certainly use his services again, and recommend him to others.
