Bill's Painting & Staining

This painter was chosen because of all of the extras that were included in the contract, like repairing small amounts of soffit and facia boards and fixing holes in siding from squirrels. In the contract, the total job duration was to be 3 weeks and it took 4 months to complete! In the contract there was a fee of 40% to be paid down before work was to be started and balance to be paid upon completion. Every day there was paint on the house I was harassed about giving him money early, after every time I gave him money early, he would disappear for weeks, one time it was a month with no work done, but there was always a thin excuse. His employees were constantly talking bad about the owner saying that he didn't have enough money to buy paint, and that he had money problems. His employees also kept trying to get me to give them a job so they could quit working for him, this was very annoying, they would come by at all times of the day and night asking for work. The job was never completely finished, I finally had to go buy paint and finish the detail work myself, he also promised to pressure wash my driveway where he dropped a 5 gallon bucket of paint in my driveway and never did so. A few days after everything was finally over I kept seeing one of his employees driving around and he was seen at my house by a friend, I called the owner and they denied it. A few weeks later my house was broken into and every tool in the house was stolen. I cannot point fingers without hard evidence, but it was an odd coincidence. Please do not call him.
