31-W INSULATION

This company has a policy that you must pay for their services at the time of the work. And for good reasons. They take the money and run. When they installed the gutters we were told that there was a one year warranty on the installation. In reality they don't warranty anything because you cannot get them to come back to fix anything. We have been calling them back each week. They appear to be doing this to all their clients. When they mess the gutters up and they don't drain correctly they just disappear and you can never get them to back up their work. Don't even waste your time or money with these people. They do not back up their work.

The guy came out, gave me an estimate, and seemed to know what he was doing. Two younger guys came out and replaced the gutters with new, larger ones. They were very nice and told me to call if I had any problems. Over several rains I noticed that the gutters were still holding excess water so I called and told them that the gutters still weren't draining in that area. They said they'd get back to me, but a few weeks went by and I never heard back. It's been a year now and I still haven't been able to get them to come out. I was going to have them put gutters on the front end of my home too and my neighbors even asked who'd done my gutters but now I won't use them again or recommend them because of their not getting back to me. I called at least 7 times, my son called them several times, and we've gotten no response at all. I think that's really bad business.

I was not given samples to chose color from. They chose so ordered the wrong color. So had to reorder. Workers did not show up for work or were sick, so could not do job. Job was repeatedly delayed. Apparently, the company places their larger clients jobs in front of individual home owners. Do not keep their word when they will take care of your job. Receptionist was consistently professional and nice on the phone.

Called and asked for estimate to insulate attic. Was told if he finished office work in time he would be out that afternoon, if not, the next morning. Didn't hear anything from him. He had all info, address, phone number, etc.

They were on time. They were very knowledgeable. They gave me enough recommendations. They weren't kind of pushy with their service.

We had a terrible ordeal with them. Nobody wants to use them for garage doors. They are mainly an insulation company, and they do garage doors on the side. They kept installing the same interior door that kept collapsing. I last asked them to refund our money. They were unwilling to give a refund, but they said they could replace our door again. Initially they weren?t going to replace the door. They said we only had a one-year warranty on our door. The door is operating fine now. I would not recommend anyone to do business with them.

I got quotes from several companies. Todd was in the middle of pricing. I did some research, and almost didn't use them because I couldn't find them on the Better Business Bureau online website. I asked him for a few references, but I don't think he understood. A friend told me they have been in business for a long time. I finally checked Angie's list and found 2 recent reports saying they were very good, and that Todd was very professional. I immediately called them up and they came out within a day or two. Todd had told me they do 5-6 places a day. There were 2 people, and the gal in charge was very professional. I would have preferred that they clean up better, though. There was some fiberglass on my garage floor when they left. I do have a concern, though. My spouse said that it looked like a blanket of snow over the attic. Really good coverage. We have recessed lighting, and 2 other companies told us that they had to be covered properly or they would get too hot under the insulation. I sent Todd an email and then phoned him. Todd said they do this a lot, and there's no problem. Hope it's ok. My realtor was looking for an insulation person to recommend, and I recommended 31W. I think they do this so much, they get better pricing for their insulation materials.

They arrived quickly, provided good products at a good price and finished quickly.

They aren't inexpensive but the quality of their products and work are very good. I wanted foam but it was too expensive, regular bat insulation must be carefully installed to get full value so BIB is a very good comprimise. In addition, you get R23 vs R19 for fiberglass or foam in a 5.5 inch wall. They still haven't blown the ceiling but I'm having them do an R50 after the sheetrock. They were a day or two late but the total job was done very quickly after they arrived. The bad weather contributed to their being late. Since weather is slowing everyone else down, being late was of little consequence. I highly recommend 31-W. Their bids also make more sense than other companies bids but all of these companies could be more specific in their bids.

The company blew insulation into the attic space of 19 apartment units. They did a good, neat job.
