They came out surveyed the job and measured the chimney top for the replacement cap. After the new cap was fabricated, they made an appointment for installation. The new stainless steel cap fit very well. The only downside to this job was the trucking company lost the cap for a few days after it had been fabricated. They did call and tell me what had happened.

techs were supposed to bring bricks for repair but were not told before arriving. Techs said they didn't have proper tools with them for brick repair. promised to return on Sunday to complete, waited all day, called tech, was promised a callback but did not get one. Called office, very disorganized and no one at office seemed to know what they were doing or what their techs did at site. Was told a new cap would be ordered by the tech, office had no record of such. refused refund for work not completed and did not try to resolve. Was told by office, three times someone would call me back, but no one ever, ever called. I always had to call them but they didn't seem to ever have any answeres, only empty promises that were never followed up on.

Very well. The insert is direct vented, no air into the house from outside, no inside air to the outside, only heat into the room when it's on. Very nice. Jim and his son Jacob installed a Travis Industries fireplace insert with and quot;Greensmart.and quot; It basiclly functions like a furnace maintaining the temprature you set, or you can set it manualy and have it on. Has an accent light that is dimable and two adjustable flames, one you can turn off. Adjustable blower too. They arrived around 1045 and were done around 4. I enjoyed talking with them as they worked, they were very curtious, professional and concerned with providing us with a top notch product installed to our satisfaction, which they did. They took care to not make a mess of the house nor tear up anything. They made sure it was done right. You will get to meet the rest of the family when you go to the showroom in Jackson TN. This family treats you like they want your business and appreciate it. It's nice supporting a family business. They delivered the product for the price they quoted and on time. A+

In general, the job I contracted for (clean the chimney and fireplace) was done. Screens were also placed on the chimney cap. The technicians told me that they sprayed something in the chimney and in the fireplace to reduce odor. The soot and smoke odor was still pretty evident after they left. Also, this is the second time I have had these people to come to my house and the second time I did not receive the follow up as promised. The first time they told me they would come back to remove the insert, but I never heard from them. This past time, they told me they would get back with me with an estimate to replace the chimney cap. I still have not heard back. So I guess my criticism is that they don't follow up.

A crew came out and measured my chimney for a cap, and gave me a quote on site. The part was not in stock, but was on order. About two weeks later, I got a call that a crew (a different one from before) was available to come install my chimney cap. They got it unpackaged and climbed up on the roof only to find that the chimney cap that had been ordered was too wide for my chimney. They apologized and remeasured. I came home today (three days later) and was surprised to find an invoice on my door and a cap on my chimney. They must have paid for expedited shipping on the new cap, but the invoice was for the price they had originally quoted me. I did think it was a little odd that they didn't call to say they were going to install it today, but I appreciate that they went the extra mile to quickly correct their error. The chimney cap looks nice.

The appt. was changed (with 24 hrs. notice) and that was fine. The service guys were late--very--due to circumstances beyond their control. I couldn't get in touch with them directly and that was frustrating, but the office continued to pick up and relay messages and updates. I'm not in the house yet--no phone and I guess they didn't have my cell. At one point I became aware that even my cell was not available in the remote, wooded location. I later learned that they had been leaving messages on my current home phone. Once at the location, however, they were apologetic, friendly and professional. They were very knowledgeable and helpful with my many questions as a first time owner of this type of fireplace. They also advised me about proper operation and maintenance. Not a speck of dust, dirt or ash was left. I could not have been more pleased. They were so nice that I hesitated to mark them down on punctuality, but they were very late. I would definitely have them come out again and will always recommend them to friends.

We contacted woodheat Specialist for chimney inspection and cleaning. The dryer vent service was mentioned and I agreed to consider this service based on price quote from technician. I was pleasantly surprised with the quote and agreed to have them clean the dryer vent. Both jobs were performed very professionally and expediently. I will use these guys again for routine maintenance going forward.

I called them on Monday morning and told them that I had just bought a house and I was not too sure that the previous owners' had actually cleaned the vents. I had also attempted to do it myself but the tool actually broke off in the dryer vent. They were quite professional and nice to me and scheduled me for the next day. They even gave me a 45 minute heads up so that I could meet them at my home. They sent over two guys who were nice and quiet. They asked me what exactly I needed them to do and then they got off to work. About 2 hours or so later, not only had they cleaned the pipe to pristine quality, they also had retrieved the broken tool I had used! They cleaned up great after themselves, provided me a receipt of their work done, and were on their way. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs their dryer vent cleaned. While the tools they sell on the informercials and in the big box stores LOOK like they will work, it is evident after a professional's TWO hours spent on the problem that it was a smart move calling in they Chimney Doctors.
