For the most part the house is well-made. I did have a problem with the paint that was used in the bathrooms. To cut costs and mask any imperfections, the builder used flat paint throughout the house. This became a problem after a few showers as a shadowy area appeared around the crown moulding. I finally concluded it was the steam dripping down onto the flat paint. | Because my house was still under warranty, I called the builder about this issue. The builder would not return my numerous calls. I finally talked to his wife and he called me shortly after. When I described the problem to him, he acted as if I did not know what I was talking about. I sent him pictures using my mobile phone and he still was not convinced. I finally convinced him to actually come to my house and look at the bathrooms in person. I think he thought he was going to "poo-poo" my complaints but did admit that the problem was flat paint in a wet area. I tried to get his company to repaint using more appropriate paint but he refused. He did agree to pay me for the paint and I had to hire someone to do it.
Description of Work: I purchased a new construction home from this company.

Be careful with this company. They told my mortgage company the job was done and had the money for the completed job on the way before the shingles were even delivered. Luckily my mortgage company was smart enough to send the check to me in my name. You have to watch every step to make sure they do it correct and if they don't, you have to contact them several times to get it resolved. The roofing job: They didn't replace the felt, as they agreed to. Said the original was in good enough shape. They didn't put starter shingles around the edge of the roof. said that was only to keep a straight edge and they could cut them straight without it. They left some loose plywood, which they had to come back later and remove roofing to repair. They put a ridge vent on without cutting the plywood to allow the vent to work. They came back out after I went into the attic and found this; to remove, cut, and put a new ridge vent into place. I also found that they didn't nail the flashing on the facia that had pulled away because of the wind, they had just pushed it back against the house. They bent the gutters while replacing the roof and had to replace them. With them having to return several times, this meant that I had to clean up after them several times, as I found debris around the yard including coils of nails.
Description of Work: This began as a roofing job to repair my roof, because of storm damage. It later turned into replacement of flooring in my house, because they flooded it by twisting off a water pipe in the wall and didn't tell anyone. The water damage: They twisted off my water line approximately a foot into the wall while trying to fill their water cooler and didn't tell anyone. By the time I went into the house that afternoon there was about 1 inch of water threw my house. My wife, myself, and a few of their people were there until 3am getting everything out, removing carpet, and sucking up the water. They got a plummer to repair the water pipe, had a flooring company put new flooring down, and repaired the hole in the wall from the pipe repair.
