Cook's Pest Control Inc

Cooks doesn't do traditional treatment inside the home, they spray the outside of the house and shop. They believe treating the outside keeps things from getting into the home. A little back history of why we had them come.... Last Summer we had a family member give us some things from their home after his wife passed away. We didn't intend to keep the things, but didn't want to refuse them and seem rude. We stuck the items in our garage that is attached to the house. The items were removed two days later after we noticed they were full of roaches. Two weeks later we noticed that they had worked into the kitchen that is right inside the garage. We quickly started treating at home ourselves with no luck. We called Cooks to come in after a month of no luck an seeing a 3-4 roaches a week. Cooks came in and for this particular situation the house was treated one all over the house and the rest of the focus was done on the kitchen only where they had come in from the garage. After a few months of treatment they were gone 100%. This was excellent service! After this issue we stopped staying on top of them to come since we weren't seeing anything and had no reason to stress they come. It quickly turned into them coming whenever they could fit us in and never on a set day. Sometimes they would miss the month completely and would come into the next month and charge for the previous month and 2-3 weeks later come back again and charge us for another full month. I became very frustrated with this as we are paying for a full month and should receive that service. I quickly called them and they credited our account after telling us that we can call them when they don't arrive. The problem I have is that I don't have time nor should I have to call them to make sure they do their job that we are paying them to do. Each time I ended the call feeling like they thought I was trying to get one over on them and that wasn't my intention at all. I feel strongly that we should receive what we are paying for. After complaining about them not coming each month they started billing us for service and not leaving a ticket on the door. They say 1. They always call before doing the service 2. They leave a ticket on the door. Neither of those things happened on the days they said they came and billed us, but left no ticket. I find this extremely annoying! If you are going to bill me leave me a ticket showing me that you came like you say you do. I don't mind if they came and left a ticket, but its way to easy for them to fill out a ticket and say they came when they didn't. If they are already at my house it should take 5 more seconds to leave the ticket on the door. I have had to go through this with them 3-4 times now. My contract is up this month with Cooks and I will NOT be using them anymore. I shouldn't have to stay on top of them and I shouldn't have to stress that a ticket be left to prove they were there! I don't think this is asking much at all since it is what they do on a daily basis for their job. I woudn't recommend them to anyone. UPDATE: One week after they said they came I was explaining to my husband what they said and he informed me that they couldn't have come because the back yard gate was locked and that's how he knows they come because its left open from the inside. There is no way they couldn't have left that gate with the latch locked like it was. They couldn't get it, but couldn't put the lock back from the outside. I took pictures of this to prove it. I also walked around the house and found 6 spider webs with 6 live spiders in them. Two of which were huge and couldn't be missed. There is no way they could miss them. Still waiting for a call back from them and a manager.

We are pleased with them. They are respectful of our home and our pets.
