Scenic City Plumbing

For a standard commode replacement for a cracked one I was charged 186.35 for parts and 198.00 for labor. I called and asked if these charges were standard, or if there was something extra I didn't know about. I was told their labor charge is 99.00 per hour and that I was charged appropriately. I said had I had any idea in advance that replacing one commode would cost almost 400.00 I would've never agreed to the job. The reply was, "Well, you should've asked."

Two guys came . . . one of them a journeyman / understudy. Both guys were very professional and the lead guy was very methodical in explaining to me what and why there were doing what they were doing. They went out of their way to clean up and disinfect after their job was done. I was so impressed that I called the office to let them know how well both of those guys represented their company.

They were prompt and professional and did an excellent job on short notice.

Great! A leak Detection Company from Knoxville, to whom I was first directed, came and said that the leak was too small for them, or anyone to locate. Scenic City came the next day, found the leak quickly and had it fixed in an hour.

Our plumber was David and he fixed only what was needed, made sure numerous times that it was completely fixed before he left. He recommended easy at home fixes for an issue that we had. He was here on time and super polite and respectful. Will call on this company again and again!

.It went fairly well. There was a disconnect between the estimator and installer had to come back, they were all cleaned up and was getting ready to leave and he found out that he didn't do everything the way he was supposed to, they go back in and fix it, they didn't have to come back to do it so that's the only reason for the B just bad communication I guess internally on their end.

Good job. The job was without incident.

They had to tear up the floor, because the could not get under the crawlspace. It was easy to call and schedule. The guy that came out was very nice. He came out right away, fixed the problem, and then left. This was my first time using this company.

The office, Shannon, was incredible and went far above my expectations tackling questions that were outside of the actual projects. The technicians were on time, professional looking and performed the work flawlessly. Cleanup was so good, you couldn't tell they had been there.

I had some water damage and wasn't sure of the source. I called Scenic City and they setup an appointment to come out fairly quickly. The first tech realized this was a tricky one and called the owner. The owner came out and gave me the options. He started his work found the issue, which wasn't plumbing related, He disconnected the dishwasher. It ended up being a few weeks to correct the core issue I wasn't charged until the dishwasher was reconnected. True professionals.

Had a positive experience with Scenic City plumbing. Called yesterday, and was given a 12-4 window for my appointment today; it was helpful that a representative from the company's main office called to let me know just before they were coming to make sure I was home. The two plumbers efficiently found the problem pipe and replaced it. They were courteous and professional. One informed me about a $20 off coupon available through Angie's List that I had not noticed. Will definitely use again!

This review is being entered on July 5, 2016. The repair we had performed was done on January 28, 2016, by Scenic City Plumbing. I point this out to indicate how pleased we are with their service. I intended to enter the review immediately but it soon became one of those "round-to-it" issues on my to-do list. I recently came across the receipt which reminded me about the review. We are so completely satisfied with the friendliness, timeliness, and professionalism, we wanted to be sure they got the recognition they deserve. The gas water heater for our home is in the basement. It had developed a very slow drip leak from the drain valve. The leak initially was small enough that we put a container to catch it and pour into the sink about once a week. It gradually increased over a couple of months. When we went down stairs on January 28, 2016, the leak had overflowed a larger container and created a large puddle/small pond on the floor. We called Scenic City Plumbing mid-morning. The person answering the call was gracious and through in identifying the problem. They had a service technician just completing a job in our general area. He was at our house in less than an hour. He reviewed the situation and gave us a couple of options. The water heater was about 15-20 years old - original with the house. Worst case would be to replace the device. However, the technician recommended draining the tank and attempting to replace the valve first. That is what we decided to have done. The technician, Bo, was very neat, clean and courteous. We had a good conversation while he worked. I joking asked if there was one rate if he did the work alone, another if I helped, and a third if we talked. We had a good laugh. After the tank had been pumped, he replaced the valve and refilled the tank. That was 6 months ago and we have not had any issues from it since. We highly recommend Scenic City Plumbing with zero reservations. The next time we have a plumbing problem, they will be the ones we contact for the repair.

Handle on kitchen faucet broke Sunday evening. Husband looked at it and said " not fixable". Went to Lowe's and bought a new one.. I called Scenic City Plumbing at 8:15 Monday morning. The very pleasant woman who answered and took my information said they could get someone out that same day and that they would call me before their arrival. She said it should be between 10 AM to noon. At about 9:30 she called to say someone should be at my house in 30-40 minutes. Greg from Scenic City arrived at 10:15. I had already cleared out things under sink and on counter. He went to work quickly, asked me which side I wanted the soap dispenser on ( I never use it, but that's another story) and had no problem switching the site from left of faucet to right of faucet.. He made sure the counter under where the old handle had been was cleaned before he installed the faucet and soap dispenser He finished at 11:15 AM, the bill was $123.75, but I had the $20 off coupon from Angie's List , so my cost was $103.75. He left me "tool" that was in new faucet package for removing the aerator and took away the old broken faucet and the box and wrappings from the new faucet (he asked me first if I wanted to keep the "installation sheet" from the package, which I did) All in all, an excellent job at a reasonable price. Will use again next time I need a plumber..

They were very polite and courteous. The technician was a very hard worker and very clean. They did a great job and we appreciate it very much. We will be using them in future.

Scenic City was very professional, knowledgeable and timely. We were originally thinking of purchasing an on=demand tank-less water heater, but their representative recommended that we revert back to the conventional tank type gas fired water heater, due to cost and the additional installation requirements needed for our specific installation. They were accurate and honest in everything they said. The installation looks good and performs well. We would definitely use them again and recommend to others. They deserve the 329 reviews and "A" rating.

Bo was very professional, quickly and efficiently replaced the regulators. He suggested to let Scenic City know the brand of my aging water heater, just in case it goes out and they would know what parts to bring along to fix it. We also discussed possibilities of replacement of the water heater, tankless vs. tank, which was helpful.

I can see why Scenic City Plumbing is so highly rated. We chose this provider because of the ratings and they lived up to every expectation. We had a problem with our kitchen faucet that happened the evening before while washing dishes. Scenic City Plumbing came very promptly after we called them the next morning, diagnosed the problem, told us that the part might be covered by warranty and gave us that contact information, educated us on how to install the part when it comes should we wish to to so and if not, of course, they would be happy to do so. We were amazed and will definitely use them again.

Very professional service. Inspected the function of our septic which appeared to be working fine. Then he checked each of our four toilets and it was found that 3 were older models with various problems with internal workings. Recommended that we purchase new toilets. He provided us companies and brands that were better quality. I was impressed that although I gave him permission to use a camera ( an additional cost) in our drains to identify the problem, he didn't - because he didn't need it. That spoke of integrity. Randy Ewald was the plumber who helped us and he was professional and kind and thorough. I also appreciated the shoe coverings.

Joe and Pete knew where the leak was close to the house because it was marked. A bush was on top of the water line and it was necessary for them to pull it up. The told me that they may not be able to save it, but I have already planted it in a new location! They laid plastic and towels and dug about 2 feet down to the pipe joint. The digging was essentially a surgical strike. Just exactly right over the joint of the two pipes. They had carefully and neatly scraped the mulch aside, and made a very neat and tidy pile with the dirt they removed. They had all the pipe couplings in their struck and proceeded to reconnect the pipes. They used an adhesive to secure the fittings and waited 20 minutes for it to cure. They turned the water back on at the meter, and success!! They ran it a few minutes to make sure it was ok. Then they carefully filled the hold up with the dirt that was in that neat pile, and carefully raked the mulch back over the site. You would never know that they had dug a big hole! They even asked me where I wanted to move the bush they removed. Very nice gentleman. Judy and Jackie were also very helpful. Judy kept me abreast of the schedule and initially sent Shannon over to look over what the job required. He showed me how to shut off the water at the water meter with a water meter key. I immediately took his advice to buy my own which I did for only $8.00. I kept the water off and then turned it on myself when I needed to shower or do dishes. Shannon taught how important it would be to have a water meter key should I have any flooding, He imparted very valuable information. I will certainly be using Scenic City for all my plumbing needs. Very fair price and clean up was great!

Very satisfied. He was efficient, effective and courteous. Cleaned up all of what he brought in. I called in at 0800 that morning and he was at my door by 0915 and gone by 1115. I highly recommend this company and will use them again.

He came one day and did the assessment the next day he had a crew out here and did the work. He was a nice honest man who did a wonderful job.

Excellent, Bo and Travis were excellent. Bo is so knowledgeable and experienced, both are so polite and honest. Very concerned about my house and pets.Appreciate that Bo did not find anything wrong with our water heater at this time.Finding good ,honest ,skilled people to work with is invaluable.

Plumber was punctual, wore blue "booties" over shoes to prevent soiling floors/carpeting, communicated well, cleaned up afterwards and carried off all debris. I used the $20 coupon this company has on Angie's list, reducing job cost to $180. He was here 2 hours; cost seems in line with other plumbers used by friends, neighbors. Would recommend Scenic City Plumbing without reservation.

We found this provider via Angie's list. Being in the area less than 5 years we are still navigating through the major service providers. We were very pleased that the previous reviews and ratings were found to be accurate of this provider. Our Hot Water Tank/Heater started to leak the day before Christmas. Due to the holidays we turned off the system. We called first thing Monday morning and was treated very professionally and they worked us in for the same day service. We talked through the service, was very clear on the age of the current unit. They provided a verbal quote prior to our commitment for the work and they were upfront that the price may change if they find any unexpected items, which to us was fair and acceptable. They called prior to arrival, were very professional, and completed the work timely. The original quote price is ultimately what we paid as they did not find any unexpected items. We will definitely keep this providers information for future utilization.
