Description of Work: Removed and disassembled wall on an existing deck, framed an "A-frame" porch. built walls, put in screens, put on siding on exterior and interior, installed door.

+ -1 moreI got 5 quotes for this job, and Alan Wooden was one of the most reasonable. I got references and checked them out and also looked at a house he framed, and he was very easy to work with. His written quote had a detailed description of each step. The crew always arrived at the same time each morning, and cleaned up completely every afternoon before leaving. If you look at the pictures, the porch is a massive, beautiful structure. When I had a question or a request for them, which I did almost every morning, they always were patient and respectful of my questions and comments. Our biggest concern was the installation of the cricket roof to make sure there were no roof leaks, and he accomplished that. He also gave us a 5 year guarantee on the workmanship. The roof and siding blend in perfectly with the rest of the house, which is 20 years old. He used good quality materials and did a good job with the details, which makes it look very nice.
Description of Work: Converted at deck to a screened-in porch. Demolished the existing half wall and trellis, ensured the foundation of the existing deck was secure. Installed framing for 16'x24' screened porch with about 20' cathedral ceiling. Installed matching roofing, overhangs, a new cricket roof, and paint. Built half wall using Hardee plank material, installed subfloor and carpet, disposed of all scrap, and rebuilt some existing benches on the edge of the open deck.
