J C Moss Electric

Moss sent out a technician to provide an estimate on April 26, and I contacted the company on May 1 to approve the job. There was no answer all the following week after several phone and email messages. I finally mad contact at the end of the week and a service call was scheduled for today, May 11 for 10-12 am. No one showed up, and no one answered the telephone until 1:30 pm. After some delay, I was told that "the electrician" was busy the rest of the day and would try to come out tomorrow. After 10 days' delay, I consider Moss a very unreliable business operation.

I called them several times over a three period to get them to come out and give me an estimate on some electrical work that I needed. They took my name and number, and each time and they they stated they would have someone call me to set up a time to give me an estimate. This went on, as I said, for about three weeks. I would call them and they would tell me that they would call me back and set up a time for the estimate. Did they ever call me back? No! The last time I called them them was on the morning of 8/14/13. The individual stated that he had given my information to his estimator, and that he would contact me and come out that afternoon to give me an estimate. Did his estimator call me? No! Did he come out that afternoon to give me an estimate? No! Have I heard from them since? No! Obviously they do not need the work!

He came out in just a few hours on an Sunday emergency call, and even gave me a discount; but the reason I rated the overall experience "C" and everything else "A" was because he was supposed to come the following week to replace some outlets, but never came and never called. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and chalking it up to an oversight. I would use him again because of the good service I did receive.

Called JC Moss on a Sunday and described problem and what work need to be completed. We asked if it would be possible to have someone come out on Thursday. The person on the phone gave us an approximate quote and said someone would call on Monday to schedule a date. We never received a phone call. Early Wednesday morning I called JC Moss again and explained the service needed and requested service for the next day (Thursday). I was told someone would be there at 8AM on Thursday. (In all fairness I said we work from home and would be available all day.) However, we were not told any different as to when we could expect someone to arrive. Thursday morning no one showed up at 8AM. We received a call about 11AM saying they were on their way and an approximate ETA. The electricians took their time and looked things over carefully. They explained things as they were working. The work was less than an hour and when completed they asked if we needed any additional work completed. We didn’t have anything else and we felt the cost was reasonable.

Prompt, pleasant, professional, and effective. They even helped with a few extra questions, etc.

The project went very well and any challenge to completion of the work was handled very efficiently. I could not be more pleased with their work, attitude and professionalism. I would definitely hire again for any electrical need/repair that I have in the future.

They were very helpful and completed the job pretty quick. However they did not come back out and put a cover on an outside outlet. I had them give me an estimate for putting in an outlet for a hot tub and it took forever to hear back from them. They were super friendly but just did not have good follow through.

All work was performed in a timely manner. Some cabinetry needed to be moved to install the outlets and the cleanup was thorough.

I looked at several electric companies on Angie's List to complete a project at a rental property I own. I just needed three outlets installed at this property. One of the companies I called was J C Moss Electric. The reviews were good and they had a coupon. I called and talked with someone about my project and was told that Mr. Moss would call me back about coming out to give an estimate. The next day I got a call from the company but after only 3 rings I lost the call before I could answer. I don't know if it was my phone or theirs, but I quickly returned the call and told the man who anwered who I was and that I had just missed the call. He said he would get Mr. Moss. After about a minute or more, he said Mr. Moss would have to call me back. That's the last I heard from them. After not hearing from them for a few days, I got another company to do the work. I don't know why they didn't call me back. Maybe they have plenty of business and don't need the work. But I won't be calling them back for anything. When you treat people like this, it leaves a bad taste in their mouth that is hard to forget.

The person who came out spent a lot of time figuring out where the outside plugs came from and he actually had to come back a second time. He did repair it and he offered me alternative on how to get them working to make sure I was happy with it. He also had to put an outlet in the kitchen. I thought the charge was more than reasonable considering the length of time he spent. He got it fixed and I have had no difficulty. I am happy with them. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if needed.

Called them on Tuesday, they came Wednesday morning. Very kind. Very good at their skill.

Delay beginning work due to Generac shipment delay-not Moss Electric's fault. Work took 3 days and included pad preparation and installation, generator installation(natural gas powered) and installation of a transfer switch including moving the existing electrical panel. Crew was professional. Initial problem with generator was due to a bad choke assembly which was replaced promptly under warranty.

They were professional. They gave us an estimate. They did the work when they said they were going to do. It was very good.

He was fine and did the work as he stated. Everything turned out fine. I had another company out and they couldn't figure it out. This guy was ready to come out, figure out what the problem was and fix it. He knew his stuff. His responsiveness was great.

The work went slow, but it was not their fault. A gas company delayed everything. I would use this company again in the future.

Prompt, professional service. A broken electrical fixture on the outside of the house had caused a short. With my help, they located the short and fixed the problems.

I felt like JC Moss Electric was a little bit high on price. The staff was very pleasant to work with. They came out within a couple of days on short notice. The job was also done when they said they would.
