+ 0 moreQuality door installed but workers left before testing the door lock, which did not work. Worker Tim's voice mail was full so could not reach him. Bill Wilson responded promptly and fixed the lock. Tim and assistant left much dirt and grit on floor which had to be removed on hands & knees. Will rethink having them replace a second door.

Description of Work: Original installation was done in November 2018, the window above the sink was hung crooked, VERY noticeable. I’m an amateur at DIY home improvements, but this was embarrassingly terrible work. The owner, Steve, came himself to inspect his foreman, Tony’s handy work and was also embarrassed for the shotty job. He arranged for Tony to come back and re-hang the window, and it was hung a bit more straight, but still not level. On top of the crooked window, the caulking around the window was AWFUL! Thick, smeared on our wood molding, and bumpy! We contacted Steve again, and Tony was sent out AGAIN, to try and clean up the caulking, and admittedly couldn’t do it. Tony said they’d have to order a new frame and re-hang the window. After multiple emails, and phone call attempts, we have officially been dodged by Steve, and at this time we requested a simple refund for that window only. What a nightmare. I inspected all the other windows and half of them were hung crooked as well, especially the garage windows. Please save yourself the headache, spend a little more for a better job and a more caring company. How do I add photos!

Description of Work: We had all the windows replaced in a house with the initial installation scheduled for the second week of December 2015. The installation actually occurred on December 23rd and one window had been ordered with the wrong glass. It took until February 12th to get the correct replacement window installed. They are TERRIBLE are answering phone calls, impossible to get them to call you back and eventually only corresponded via email. Windows are really nice but I won't use them again due to horrible customer service.

+ -1 moreSteve (owner) was punctual and professional. Explained the estimate and described the process clearly. All of Steve's time estimates were right on target. Price was in line with others. Added benefit for a very affordable fee, all existing blinds can be removed and reinstalled by the installer. This was a huge help Ray (installer) and his partner Bill were on time and very courteous. They came prepared and went above and beyond to ensure a clean install. A few screens were damaged. I didn't notice but Ray pointed it out to me and made sure I checked all windows for any more issues. I never thought new windows could be so enjoyable. Don't hesitate to go with The Window Guyz if you are shopping around for replacement windows.

Description of Work: Replaced a window over entry way. Manufacturer sent a replacement window that had an inset bar that was slightly askew and I was offered a discount or they would reorder a new one. I opted for a 2nd order, knowing there would be addl. delay but when the new window arrived everything went smoothly. I really appreciated their professionalism and timeliness with the whole process. They kept me apprised throughout. Excellent!

+ -1 moreVery responsive. Took care to explain the products and process. Let us know they could probably do the entire job (about 15 windows) in a day, but cautioned it might take another half day. They were able to complete everything in a day. Took care of cleaning up everything. The new windows insulating properties came in very handy with the very cold weather that we've been having! Would definitely recommend them.

+ -1 moreSteve, the owner, is not a "hard sell" guy. He was very pleasant and answered all questions promptly. His installer, Ray, is very attentive to detail both inside and outside...being very careful to protect furnishings and carpeting/flooring inside and shrubbery outside. The price was very good for an excellent product (I had 5 estimates and his was the most reasonable). I am extremely happy with the product.

+ -1 moreWe were satisified with the work The Window Guyz did in installing our new windows. However, after about 2 1/2 years, one of the locks on our window broke, We can no longer open the window more than a couple of inches. I first notified The Window Guyz of this issue in the fall of 2012, and followed up every couple of months. Every time we spoke to the owner we heard, "No problem, we have the part and it will take 5 minutes to fix it. We'll give you a call on Monday to find a time to come by." Then we would never hear from them. This even included a day where I stayed home from work to meet them. They never showed up, and when I called the company, I was told, "My guy was supposed to stop by there. Let me call him and then give you a call right back." That was the last time I ever heard from The Window Guyz.

+ -1 moreWe LOVE the changed look of our home! Steve was very helpful in our choice of materials and color, and was patient as we collected bids from other companies. I was surprised that the siding "crew" consisted of one man who brought a different "helper" each day. I had gotten the impression that the crew was more consistent in their experience with the company. If we wanted to change outside lighting fixtures, Steve said the crew would gladly install them for us in the course of their work.
Description of Work: Morris Siding and Windows put vinyl siding and new gutters on our 18 year old partially-brick home. They replaced rotten wood, covered the previously painted sections of our home with foam core insulation and beaded siding, covered overhand areas with vinyl soffit, covered fascia boards with aluminum coil, and covered window and door facings with aluminum coil. They also installed 6 inch continuous aluminum guttering and downspouts.

+ -1 moreWhile our overall experience with Morris Siding and Windows was very good, the gutter installation was a notable exception. Gutters were attached with screws in a variety of colors, one downspout was hung crookedly (and not fixed), concern about drainage from one section was "blown off" by the subcontractor.
