Extremely poorly with regards to intregity and trustworthyness. Other factors of the sale of the house went smoothly.
Description of Work: I recently sold my home in Franklin, Tennessee to a family represented by Mr. Miller Evans of the Mike and Darlene Hastings Team of Keller Williams Realty. At the time the contract was signed, my move out date set for October 3, 2012. After the contact had been signed, Mr. Evans' clients realized they were closing on the home they were selling several days prior to my move out date and asked numerous times if it would be possible to have me out of the home prior to October 3rd. Mr. Evans sent several text messages to my broker and in them offered to help cover the costs of my vacating the property early. I took five days off work to accommodate Mr. Evans clients request. I forwarded the out of pocket cost of $479.50 to my realtor who then forwarded it onto Mr. Evans prior to closing. We did not demand this agreement be in writing and were simply trying to accommodate Mr. Evans clients. To date, Mr. Evans and his team have refused to reimburse me for this cost and have tried to put the responsibility for their lack of integrity back on my realtor. We asked Mr. Evans' brokers to assist us in collecting these funds. Shown below is the e-mail we received stating their position. It would be my most ernest advise to only deal with Mr. Evans and the Hastings team if you are able to do so in writing. Had I known that this company was only as good as their written word, I certainly would have proceeded differently. If using this team - proceed with caution. There is no proof anywhere that Miller ever agreed to pay your client $479.50. Yes, I see the text with an amount of money and I assume this is the amount she was wanting but where is the acceptance of that amount from Miller? That's why it needed to be on a closing and possession amendment so ALL parties can be in the loop and have agreement so that any third party could come in and not have to guess what the intent was. Where is the acceptance of this amount? Without it, you have no claim. 2. We would never have agreed to any monetary agreements outside the contractual arrangements. Your client signed affidavits stating there were none so ever if there were conversations about it, they would have ultimately have had to be put in writing, which there were not. We do not feel we owe your client any money. If there was some amount that your client felt they were owed then it is through your own negligence that the issue over money was never resolved. You should have demanded that an agreement be made and put in writing. (Emphasis added) For your information though, we would never have agreed to pay this amount without your participation to the tune of half the amount. Mike and Darlene Hastings
