Fred Oakley is the best contractor we have ever worked with. He does what he says he will do, when he says he will do it, at the price he said he would do it for. He is also the *cleanest* contractor we have ever known! Honest, reliable, great communication, improvises when he needs to, listens to what the customer wants -- can't recommend him enough. Our bathroom (not remodeled since the house was built in 1960) is absolutely transformed, thanks to Fred. And a space which the realtor said absolutely could not hold a dishwasher--now has a dishwasher! We are able to stay in our house longer now with Fred's improvements, and we are grateful to him for his professionalism, his courtesy, his good nature, his expertise, his attention to detail, and his skill. Thank you, Fred.

We hired Fred for a bathroom remodel, adding several interior doors and drywall work. Fred was very professional and polite. All work was completed in a timely manner. He provided updates and pictures to show how the work was coming together while we were not in town.

Mr Oakley did a lot of drywall work, installed sliding doors, built a more efficient exit/steps to exterior, cabinets. kitchen wall tile and painting, some bathroom plumbing rework.

Fred was everything youâ d want in a contractor: (1) great communication; (2) SHOWED UP!; (3) outlined our project with completion dates and met expectations; (4) competitive pricing. We highly recommend him and will use him on future projects.

Fred was polite and attentive. However, DO NOT let him do tile or shower work. The drain was set improperly and not flush with floor tile therefore we had him redo it. Also, many wall tiles were crooked but he only agreed to straighten 6 of them! Within 6 months some tiles were loose and grout cracking. When we removed the loose tiles we discovered water damage, black mold & inadequate adhesive. In his defense, he said he wanted to make it right but by this time we had lost confidence. We hired someone else to come fix all issues. Basically, his attention to detail was lacking and we were left with the impression he had limited experience with shower tile work if any at all.

Fred was a pleasure to work with. He and his son were very professional. Modernizing 40+ year old bathrooms, he gave us everything we wanted. Came in on time and on budget (other than the changes I made). I would recommend him to anyone that wants work done. I will be calling him again when we decide to do our kitchen.

I have been envisioning how I wanted to renovate our master bath, how to restructure the shower and what style, colors, flooring and tile I wanted. Fred executed everything that I envisioned, and the quality of his work was outstanding. My master bath is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend him to anyone.

They kept us advised as the work progressed, and always left the work site clean after a day's work. The project was finished well before the projected date of completion.

Fred did a fantastic job installing my new bathroom. I wasn't sure where I wanted to put the shower, sink and toilet. Fred helped me with the layout of the bathroom. There were concerns with the plumbing and Fred came up with a solution, something other contractors were unable to do. If I had questions or concerns he took the time to explain them. He showed up everyday until the job was complete. He was considerate of other furniture in the work area and cleaned up after himself . I am very happy I found Fred on Home Advisor. My next project is the kitchen and guess who is doing the job.

My husband and I purchased a 1955 Ranch home in March of 2018. We wanted to remove the walls between our kitchen, dinning room, and living room to create an open concept space. Fred and his son were friendly, helpful, and did everything they could to make our dream come alive. Not only did remove the walls, he put down hardwood floors which were more intensive then we agreed upon which were MY mistake due to ordering with a continuous positive attitude. He also added an incredible butcher block island to our kitchen with two outlets! We love the space and the workmanship is great. I couldn't be happier to have worked with him. Would do it again.

Fred Oakley and his team exemplify excellence in a day and age where customer service and communication skills are lacking. They did an addition to my home, installed new flooring throughout the house, as well as other repair jobs that came up in the original portion of the house. I had a very specific vision for the work I hired them to do, and they executed it very well. Quality of work was excellent, communication was great, but most importantly to me I’d like to mention integrity and character. I went through a personal tragedy in the midst of the renovation, and Fred and his team went above and beyond to finish their work quickly, to remedy any problems, and to help correct issues from other home renovation professionals so that I could get into the home earlier then anticipated. Fred himself has since completion even come out to help me with an issue, and stayed for a cup of coffee and to ask me how I was faring with the crisis. I would and will be recommending Fred and his team to anyone that will listen because they do quality work, are careful to fix any mistakes, and care about their client. Wonderful experience! Very knowledgeable about leveling floors.

Fred was great. He finished out our attic space making it into two rooms. It went from insulation and heating ducts to a playroom and office space.
